Avoid. At. All. Costs.

The worst company I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with - please do yourself a favour and avoid them at all costs.
Where to begin with the issues:
- On move in we were supplied with two front door keys as there are two locks (the house was in a very high crime area). The bottom lock didn’t work and this issue was not fixed for the entire 12 month tenancy.
- One tenant was not supplied with keys to the lock on his room at any point during the tenancy.
- One bed nearly fell apart and when they finally sent someone round to check it out his stated “It needs tightening, but I don’t have the tools to do that.” Obviously it needs tightening, the fact I don’t have tools is why I asked you.
- There were damages on move in that the previous tenants were charged for but was never fixed. They then attempted to charge us for the same damages.
- Sockets in the kitchen were broken and not fixed for several weeks, meaning we had to live with an extension lead through the kitchen to have the fridge plugged in.
- They supplied a poster saying you can move out with two weeks notice, but when asking about this they said we were tied in for 12 months - this is true, we did sign a 12 month contract, but then don’t try and mislead people with that poster. It also says there is ‘Free WiFi’, but what this actually means is free line rental for WiFi, which is misleading to the point of it basically being a lie.
- They asked us to move up our move-out date by a few weeks as the new tenants wanted to move in earlier. We agreed to this. They gave us an adjusted quote for the remaining rent that seemed incorrect, so when I calculated it myself I found they were trying to overcharge us by over £1,000! I contacted them about this criminal behaviour and they simply replied saying yes we did in fact not need to pay as much as they initially stated.
- On move out we were given a long list of ‘damages’ that would be deducted from our deposit. These charges came to over £1,500, which we all thought was absurd and the charges themselves had no quotes or basis for their cost. As such we filled a legal dispute that, after several months (meaning I did not have the deposit back in time to move into my next home - quite a financial problem as a student) was settled. It was concluded that the only £300 would be taken out of the deposit - again meaning they tried to fleece us, this time out of £1,200.

I am sure I could go on, but if possible do not go anywhere near this company. Your life will be unnecessarily difficult and stressful until the day you move out otherwise - and given the deposit dispute we had to endure, it will be hell for several months even after you do move out.

Don’t go near this estate agents

Blamed us for mould advancing when the house was mouldy when we arrived.
Showed us a brand new refurbished house, then when we moved not even 2 full months later it was covered in mould, and they did nothing about it for months.
Mould and damp in bedrooms (black spotted mould) when we arrived and nothing done for 3 months as it got worse, entire house was ill for the whole time. Then had to live with multiple dehumidifiers on in the entire house for the next 9 months, making it loud and cold and costing us more in heating as they sucked all the warmth out of the house.
Bad customer service, when debating contractual details on the phone the agent would become more agitated than us.
Garden was a metre tall mess of weeds when we arrived, didn't do anything for a week (I had to call every day and send multiple emails) then the "maintenance team" turn up and just mow the weeds (rather than properly removing them) so our garden was full of weeds and thistles again within two or three weeks. They then expected us to maintain the garden ourselves (a house full of 5 girls against a garden that's more weed than ground?? I don't think so) when they should have got in a real gardener to actually fix the issue as we requested.
Promised tools for the garden and didn't deliver, almost costing us our deposit as the garden was a mess.
Always have extremely short notice (not even 24 hours as the contract states most of the time) before visits and repair work. Also had notice of less than 2 hours for the move out deadline time, which is obviously un achievable and lead to the inventory being done BEFORE CONTRACTUAL MOVE OUT DATE and before one of us had moved out and cleaned the house
Contract stated until 24th of august, demanded we move out the day before
Never replied to emails on time, normally only after a few weeks. Sent many emails about mould advancements that were never addressed.
