Poparide is so great
Poparide is so great. I ski in Whistler often and whether I want to be the driver or the passenger it is a win win for everyone. It is also growing in popularity in other provinces which has been really nice for me to get around central Canada. The more people who use this app the better it will become.

Brilliant app for car pooling
I have been using the app since last 2 years for both, looking for a ride and sharing my own rides. Convenience of booking, safe, and most of the time I had been able to find a ride. 100% recommend using it, especially in a country like Canada where public transit is rare.
My only concern is booking fees are increasing dramatically. They changed from $4 to $5 per ride. In a small distances, people start asking for paying cash to avoid booking fees. I think that is something they can make a change into. Instead of fixed amount, make it a fixed %, like 10 or 15%.

Back in the day ride-sharing was over forums and you had to hope and trust everything was safe and worked out. This is a major step up, with a great process and reasonable prices. I have felt safe, connected, and valued on rides I've taken so far, and will definitely keep using it. Do much more pleasant and affordable than flying! My only caution is to actually *use* the app, because there are many drivers who try to convince you to pay privately in cash. Nothing against this personally, but it undermines the point of reviews and transparency, because these drivers usually have no visible history on the app.

Mismanagement they blocked my account, I complained against a reckless driver
Mismanagement I booked the ride for a family member and complained against the reckless driver but they sent me an email that I drove do fast , I was not even a driver. I explained then then they apologized for miscommunication but after they blocked my account. Only AI Responded via email same answer like a parrot. There’s no person you can talk to and explain the reality.
