Very good and inclusive app
I really appreciate this app, cos it’s very secure and helpful for managing interaction with passengers, giving some précisions on time and place to meet. But, try to pay the driver on time please, cos money’s taking longer. It should be maximum 24h after the ride. Thanks.

I tried to book with one of the rider from Oshawa to Cornwal...they start from 7pm to 10pm to 11pm and now they said car broke canceling the ride....unprofessional attitude.

When it works well it works. I was shown this by a friend and have now made a couple excellent trips to places that would have been a couple buses . Watch reviews or people that don’t communicate well .

I’ve been using Poparide for 3 years now and have nothing but positive things to say about the platform. Obviously you have the occasional negative experience but that’s an individual issue rather than the platform. I feel very safe and comfortable using this app. The drivers are reliable in my experience and the passengers I’ve shared rides with have always been pleasant. When I’ve had issues Poparide has been prompt to refund me and even offer extra credit towards future rides. 10/10. I’ve recommended it to all my friends. I’m also a young and petite woman and have always felt very safe

Under carpooling regulations, drivers are not allowed to make earnings from trips; members only receive compensation to help cover their travel expenses.

Customer service 5/5. While some of the drivers on the app can be challenging, customer support is very accommodating and understanding.
The app is super easy to use, not overly complicated. Notifications are minimal and does not spam emails.

Usually a good experience - except when it is unsafe and ignored
Usually a good experience.
However, there was one incident when a driver did now show up, communicated incorrect information, refused to answer their phone, and left me stranded in a rural area by a highway they asked me to go to. Poparide did not provide a report on what happened or provide any information on what would be done to ensure safety in the future - instead, they blocked me from the app when I asked questions.
I think that issues like this need not only to be published on sites like this, but also have options for regulator intervention - without fear for retaliation.

Ease of use
I have been using the app for over 3 years now and it is safe and easy to use. Their customer service is also very great. I had an issue once where the driver left before the scheduled time of the ride. I reported it and they responded promptly and I got refunded right away. I always recommend the app to my family and friends.

I had cancelled a ride because of an…
I had cancelled a ride because of an emergency. And they refunded half of the ride because it was last minute but it has been over 10 business days and I’ve still not received the refund. It was refunded on February 1st and it is now the 21st. They don’t refund the rides. Beware. If the ride goes according to plan then it all goes well. But if you have an emergency then you are screwed
