Easy ordering process. Talked through options when further clarification required.

We found the whole experience of choosing, buying and building our Sauna very easy and enjoyable. Ahmed at Polhus provided great advice and info whilst trying to select the perfect building, finish and accessories. We bought and built our sauna in Autumn 2025 and have thoroughly enjoyed it since.

The actual sauna and materials are great and I am happy with the sauna, but the sour taste left in my mouth by the genuinely rude and belittling behaviour by the UK rep means I would not recommend this company, nor will I use their services for any further backyard improvements. The timelines on the website are simply for them to ship the item to the final destination couriers, so add several weeks to this, and a few more for the time taken to book installers. If the UK rep and the team were more open about this rather than being dismissive of my questions it would have been more helpful and far less irritating.

Everything changes after they have your money- expect no remedial action, just excuses and trampling all over your consumer rights.

The sauna has been up and running for 2 weeks now and we're very happy when sitting inside the sauna - less so when we were initially standing outside it.

We opted for the Thermowood option for longevity and were surprised when it turned up and some key pieces like the door frames, floor support, facia panels and the internal floor boards were not thermowood. I contacted customer services who pointed me to the website where it does actually say some pieces are not thermowood, so my fault for not checking and verifying what they were. They did provide a stain for these piece which had quite a big colour variation from the thermowood, so I didn't use them.

Instead, I spent additional money sourcing thermowood replacements & the overall aesthetic of the sauna has now been restored.

Solid build and great sauna, but for an eye watering £8777, all elements of the build should have been thermowood. If I could do it all again, I'd buy from Finmark and save a substantial amount of money.

Am so happy with my Jorma sauna - from delivery to customer service, quality, cost and construction... it was a breeze and the finished product is just great.
I live in the wilds of Wales and delivery was painless - good communication with freight company made it a lot easier.
I was initially concerned by the lack of an 'Ikea-type' instructions manual, but it's all pretty simple once you start. Most important thing is you go through all the parts and x-ref with the delivery note - once you've done this, you'll get a good sense of what goes where. I constructed it myself with a friend and it took about 3 days (6 man-days). I went for the 70mm walls and the log burner - both of which I'm very happy with.
The quality is really good, it feels structurally sound and hardy, and it heats up quickly. In terms of space, you can squeeze 4 adults in, although it's probably more comfortable with 3.
Final word on customer service - Ahmed was a star, always got back to me quickly and was super helpful.
Wouldn't hesitate to recommend Polhus - you can pay an arm and a leg for a sauna - in my experience their product is good quality, well priced, easy to construct and well supported in terms of customer service.

We bought the barrel sauna arvid. Assembled it and it’s perfect and looks great. We treated it as advised with Osmo oil and told to treat again 6-12 months depending.
Around the 6 months time it started to mould on the entrance and around the back of the barrel. I left it as wasn’t sure what to do. Shortly after I contracted Polhus and they told me water has seeped in and it wasn’t treated properly. They said to get the mould off, but I tried and it won’t come off.
The barrel was treated by myself exactly as they said.
I escalated my complaint and they wasn’t interested.
I wouldn’t buy this again and I don’t rate the Scandinavian wood as clearly goes mouldy. The after care service it’s terrible and they have no interest.
But a barrel but not with the wood they use, it’s clearly not fit for purpose and high maintenance.

I purchased a hot tub cover from Polhus, which arrived with an overpowering, nauseating chemical smell. I contacted their team shortly after receipt to report this. I was advised to wait, as it was just "off-gassing" and would resolve after a few months.

I trusted their professional advice and waited, but 1.5 years later, the smell remains exactly as strong as it was on day one. It renders the hot tub unusable as it makes all of the water smell.

When I reached out to resolve this now, they refused to offer a refund or replacement, citing that "too much time has passed." They are effectively punishing me for following their own guidance. If you buy from Polhus, be aware that if you receive a faulty item, they will tell you to wait until your warranty/return period expires, and then refuse to help you. Extremely disappointed in the lack of accountability and the poor quality of the product. Not just the £350 hot tub cover wasted but cannot use out multi thousand £ hot tub whilst we fix the lid situation. Sham company.

Website promised 15–20 business days (3–4 weeks). Immediately after payment, confirmation email extended this to 4–5 weeks.

At week 3, after no communication, I chased -only to find my order had effectively been forgotten. Product was in stock but not dispatched, and no contact to me. Timeline reset without valid explanation.

In week 5 (just before Easter), an unknown courier emailed with a single date for week 6, with no coordination. I called, gave full availability for week 7, and agreed flexibility.

Week 6, still nothing repeated unanswered calls/emails. Lunchtime Monday week 7, the courier admitted no delivery had even been scheduled. Committing persistence, delivery scheduled Friday of week 7.

Polhus excel at marketing, but customer experience is chaotic and misleading. For GB customers, the requirement to chase repeatedly then failure to meet even revised timelines is unacceptable. Please check other reviews before parting with £££—this isn’t an isolated case

Delighted with our new Brage sauna to be used by our family and guests at our holiday barns. The whole process has been faultless from enquiry to delivery and today’s assembly by Rob and Gary from CSL was incredible; efficient, patient and faultless. Just can’t wait to get in and use it now.

Sauna materials quality:
Great quality wood! Great quality kit! Sanded well, accurately cut, etc…

Customer Service:
Solid customer service - good response times and reasonably fast shipping time.

Assembly:
The assembly team were absolutely brilliant! We had Gary, Rueben and Jesse from CSLewis Construction. Really recommend them! They went above and beyond with helping to install extra bits that I requested, and in producing the best quality possible. Every join, every screw, was placed methodically and professionally. (Might want to request for this team specifically. Seriously.)

Problems/Improvements:
Would be great if the Arvid (Sauna Model Name), had a thermo wood option. Thankfully it looks like I’ll be able to get the barrel stained/oiled rather easily!

Easy and efficient ordering process. Quick delivery and the quality of the product appears excellent.

Nice sauna. However, there were a few unpleasant surprises upon delivery. The roof covering had been gnawed by a rodent, and the stove was partially defective. These things can happen if it's handled properly, but customer service is giving me the runaround despite the evidence, photos, and testimonials from those who were affected.

We are happy with the quality of the sauna we purchased as well as with the service and communication that we maintaned with Natalia Korecka. She kept us informed at all time regarding the shipping.

Rob & Gary from CSL Construction did an amazing job. Arrived on time, gave me a full breakdown of what they were doing. Very polite & so helpful.

Rob constructed our sauna and was excellent with his knowledge and technical expertise. He was brilliant at keeping me up to date with progress, extremely helpful with advice following the build and was really adaptable to our requests for the sauna. I would recommend Rob in the future.

I found the staff very helpful and offered excellent guidance and positive approach to enable me to have the sauna I have been dreaming of owning in my woodland .
