DON'T TOUCH WITH A BARGE POLE!!

My Autistic son wanted to buy his 1st ring and decided to get a signet ring made with his 1st initial on it.
It was meant to be ready after 2 weeks, but took 5 weeks.
When we went to collect the solid siver ring with a gold initial on, it was badly polished, dirty, scratched and the initial wasn't set straight on the ring! We asked for these things to be corrected.
When we returned, the initial had been staightened, but was now distorted and there were scratches and tool marks on it. It was still dirty and hadn't been polished correctly.
The shop assistant and owner were incredibly rude and accused me of complaining! I agreed I was complaining because they had taken money from a vulnerable young man and produced shoddy workmanship.
The jeweller refused to look at the ring with me so we could discuss the issues.
I was informed that they would not be giving him a refund when I asked for one on his behalf.
I had to leave with a badly made ring and no redress being told "good luck" when I said I would find a way to make a complaint about them.
I left feeling disgusted, remarking I hoped he enjoyed spending a vulnerable mans money on his beer this weekend!!
