Absolutely disgusting experience with…

Absolutely disgusting experience with this company. I received my ‘Yard Boots’ (as advertised on their website) and I tried them on. They felt good but I did wonder about the quality as the zip did up so easily - something I never experience with larger calves which is what the company designs boots for.

Upon the 3rd wear (on yard and a walk out on my youngster) the zip went on the right boot. I contacted the company immediately only to be faced with rude and accusatory replies. She refused to have the boots back and rudely told me to take them to a cobbler. I explained that the boots had cost me £150 of Christmas money - money well-earned! And I said why should I have to do this when I’ve spent this great deal of money on a pair of boots that should be fit for purpose?

She said I broke the zip. Had the zip being faulty, then I would have known when I opened them somehow. Somehow you have to find out a zip is faulty without wearing the boot apparently !

I am currently in dealings with my bank who have assured me I will get my refund and I will be leaving my review everywhere to warn other ladies of the issue. It’s been a horrible experience, especially as the owner is so, so rude.

Don't do it!! Shoddy workmanship

If I could leave no stars thats what I would do. Terrible product and terrible customer service. Product arrived they did not fit, instantly sent an email to inform I needed to return them, then out of the blue I get a partial refund due to one set been damaged. No damage was done!! Wish I had come here to read the reviews first as clearly shoddy workmanship all round. I have contacted citizens advice in hope of a full refund. The customer service has been nothing short of abysmal.

Almost relieved to hear a similar…

Almost relieved to hear a similar story. I had previously purchased a pair of leather gaiters from fuller fillies some 15 years ago. They have been fab but are no falling apart. Found them on this site and so reordered.
I followed the size/fitting guide.
I was surprised that the gaiters did not seem to be of the same quality on delivery.
Rode in them for 2 gentle hacks with my daughter and on the 3rd the zip gaped open 10 minutes into the ride. As I moved the zip clasp to try and fix the problem it came off in my hand.
I emailed straight away and was asked to supply photos, which I did.
I then found the tone of the emails changed and were rude and their tone was not pleasant. I was told I had deliberately left out one of the photos, that the fault was my own doing and the manufacturers agreed with her etc etc. I was then offered the opportunity to buy a second pair at cost plus postage as a gesture of good will.
The product was not fit for purpose and I feel I should have been offered a refund or free replacement.
I am in contact with Citizens advice and they have forwarded my complaint to trading standards. I suggest anyone with similar complaint or issues does the same - CABs have been brilliant and their advice very useful.
I have found the company appealing to deal with and will certainly not be using them again.
