SCAM - beware!
Their website didn’t say the product I paid for was out of stock. They couldn’t even tell me when the product will be back in stock.
Now they are ignoring my refund request emails.

Review
I’ve been shopping at PlayAsia for a long time, and my overall experience has always been excellent. The product selection is outstanding, digital codes are delivered almost instantly, shipping has been reliable, and customer support has been professional whenever I needed assistance. It remains one of the very few stores that I can confidently recommend for importing games and purchasing regional PlayStation Store gift cards.
That said, I would like to mention one area that I believe still deserves improvement: the loyalty rewards program.
I’ve brought this up in previous reviews because I genuinely hope to see the program become more rewarding for loyal customers. Unfortunately, I haven’t noticed any meaningful changes so far.
For example, my recent purchase of a US$50 PlayStation Store gift card cost approximately ¥8,290, but the loyalty reward I received was only about ¥38. While I appreciate that a rewards system exists, the current return is simply too small to make a meaningful difference for customers who shop here regularly.
If increasing the standard reward rate is difficult due to business or profit considerations, I completely understand. In that case, perhaps PlayAsia could consider introducing a loyalty appreciation program instead.
For example, customers who maintain a certain membership level or spend above a certain amount each year could receive a one-time annual bonus of Coins or reward points. Many companies, including my mobile carrier in Japan, successfully use similar long-term loyalty programs to thank their regular customers without significantly increasing their day-to-day reward costs.
I truly enjoy shopping at PlayAsia and will continue to do so because the service is trustworthy and the selection is excellent. My intention is not to complain, but to offer constructive feedback that I hope will help make an already great store even better.

Terrible, the key provided didn't work despite being labeled as global, support sent an email to me after 48 hours but i read it was 24 hours the waiting time. I got the game from other store and worked, I hope I got my refund.
Edited: I got the refund for the product, too bad it didn't work.

Greaaat site. Was able to get a US Nintendo gift card for use in the US with a non-US card easy.
Code was instantaneous and worked perfectly.
Thanks!

quick and simple, great way to play japan exclusive :)

Deceptive game descriptions.
Games are region/language locked while the title of the game clearly says otherwise

this was my first order and will be my last....
ordered a game on 29-05-2026 ( game has been out a few year)
''Estimated shipping date: On or before 13-Jun-2026'' but now it has been changed to ''''Estimated shipping date: On or before 19-Jun-2026''
zero communication... why my order has been delayed and why it takes so long to ship...
really frustrated, no matter what i choose ( wait for my order to ship or cancel order) both options involves in me waiting....
this is in unacceptable... i hope i get a compensation orsomething...
my day is ruined and my disappointment is immeasurable
edit: they finally responded to my support ticket...no apologies or anything from them nor compensation..... they could not give me a estimated time when it will be shipped....i cancelled the order..... i hope when i receive refund the exchange rate is the same... otherwise... i will lose money ....
i guess i will import the game myself from japan.
- not a happy customer

Play Asia employs sub-par delivery companies to fulfill their orders. In my case, they used “Gofo,” a last mile delivery service, and the driver made the bone-headed mistake of delivering it to my neighbor’s driveway, where it was inevitably stolen. Gofo has a reputation for doing stupid things like this, as well as improperly handling (throwing and kicking) packages.
I took pictures, opened a ticket, got in contact with Play Asia (and Gofo) customer service, and for the first week was told by both parties that the delivery was successful. Realizing I was talking to bots, I requested a human, and finally Play Asia began to understand the situation. They asked that I file a police report and send them a copy. I did. Then Play Asia asked that I obtain proof of mis-delivery from Gofo. I convinced Gofo to investigate my case again, which they did, and Gofo granted me proof of mis-delivery, which I gave to Play Asia. This should have been case closed. But Play Asia promptly forgot the situation, and believed my “local courier” (USPS) was responsible for the mistake, and said they appreciated that I had contacted them to help resolve the matter.
I had to reiterate the situation (something I already had to do several times to this point), to get back on track and, after having to again request a human CS representative, they assured me they had escalated the matter to their service carrier, who they alleged were investigating the matter. A week passes, no word, I write, and they assure me it is still being investigated (never mind that I already have proof from Gofo themselves that I am the wronged party). Another week, another email, more assurance. A final week, and I decided to look into Play Asia. They have a history of this behavior. Stalling, hoping you will give up and continue to use their storefront, despite knowing full well they will not reimburse you if they make a mistake.
I initiated a chargeback. Consequently, despite having done nothing wrong in this situation, they have quietly banned my account. I can sign in, but cannot make purchases. Not that I would, anyway, when each delivery is a crapshoot.
All of this over a $35 game. That’s how little you matter to them as a customer.
I recommend buying off of eBay, even if it means paying a little more—you are likely saving on shipping, time, and have the benefit of not dealing with third-world delivery drivers who cannot discern a porch from a driveway.
One last thing I would like to point out: if you use PayPal as a payment method, you have a 3-month window (from the day of purchase) to be refunded, and 6 months for credit cards. In the event that something goes wrong, Play Asia will try and stall you out of this period. Keep that in mind each time you make a purchase there.

Do not buy from them, I bought a Roblox from them, I never received my code, they kept asking for more money, eventually I requested a refund, they said it has been processed and I will receive it in 2 business days. It is over a week now, I am still waiting, SCAM!

I've used PA a few times with no problems but this time it has been awful. They asked for verification for my credit card and I submitted the only credit card I had. But they are saying it's not the correct one 🤣🤣🤣.

I bought a Minecraft Xbox key from Play-Asia (Order #65723759), expecting a reliable checkout process from a major storefront. Instead, I was instantly delivered a key that Microsoft's servers flagged as "Already Redeemed." The server timestamp proved the code was dead before it ever reached my hands.
When I reached out to customer support immediately, the experience became a bureaucratic nightmare. I was subjected to a cold, rigid interrogation process, forced to hand over an excessive amount of sensitive, full-screen desktop screenshots (complete with Windows taskbar, system clocks, personal order history, and subscription details) just to prove I wasn't lying. Even after complying fully and providing airtight, un-fakeable evidence from Microsoft’s live server log, my case was passed off to a "digital team" with zero resolution timeline, leaving me empty-handed while they hold onto my funds.
To make matters worse, immediately after my purchase, the price of the key dropped on their store pool. More appallingly, I attempted to leave a genuine 1-star product review on Play-Asia's own website to warn others about this batch of codes, and their system actively manipulated the display to ensure the game still showed a perfect 5-star rating.
Play-Asia's customer service operates on a defensive "guilty until proven innocent" model, passing the entire burden of their faulty supply chain onto the paying customer. Their higher-rated competitors on open marketplaces resolve digital code disputes instantly, whereas Play-Asia stalls honest buyers. I will never purchase a digital code from this store again.

Delivery service was prompt. Refund was swift and was informed why my order was cancelled. Have purchased from them repeatedly now and will definitely recommend.
