Politically bias company

Politically bias company. I’ve shopped with them since 2022. Playasia has had a temper tantrum against the US President. They put a photo of him at checkout to mock US citizens. When you shop with a company they shouldn’t get into politics. They have turned into Bud Light. Taking my business elsewhere.

Do not bother with this website. Buy elsewhere.

Do not bother with this website. Their customer service is terrible. i bought a game code online which clearly stated "Epic Games" as the store used to redeem the code. After i tried to use the code it didn't work and was invalid. after going back and forth with them they kept telling me to put the full length of the code on the website but the code was simply too long for me to input into the epic games store.

So logically i thought that the code was wrong. after a few more back and forth emails of them telling me to put in the code. They finally realized "ohhhh... its a GREENMAN GAMING redemption code!" they promptly told me that i was putting in the code in the wrong spot like i was supposed to magically know that it was meant to be on GREENMAN GAMING when it clearly said EPIC GAMES STORE on the title.

Throughout emailing back and forth with them, the continually kept treating me like i was incompetent and couldnt enter a code on the site without proper direction. if only the would told me it was for a completely unrelated site!

Oh, and on top of that the second i disputed the removed the code away from my account and i still dont have the code almost 2 weeks after purchase! According to this company, i should've assumed that they wouldve taken it away from me and i should've saved it.

So now they have my money and i have no game code. STAY AWAY BUY FROM ANYWHERE ELSE BUT HERE. Customer service is rude and takes forever to respond.

DISAPPOINTED

Absolutely fed up with Playasia. Never buying from them again, and honestly, anyone even thinking about ordering from them should rethink it a million times.

First order? February 2024 — bought three Switch games. All said "in stock within a week." Cool, right? Nope. After 20 days of radio silence, I had to chase down customer service myself. They finally admitted they didn’t have the games and were "trying to source them." After endless back and forth, they finally shipped my order... TWO MONTHS later in April. What a joke.

Second order? A preorder for a game dropping March 31, 2024. Should be simple, right? WRONG. Same crap. They sold me a preorder and then told me after launch day that they couldn’t find stock. How do you screw up a preorder?! They told me to wait until June, and then they just canceled the order because they couldn't get the game. Two months of waiting — for nothing.

And now? My third (and definitely last) order. Two games, both marked as "in warehouse." I thought, finally, no issues this time. They shipped them out quickly, and I was actually excited. But guess what? The tracking number they gave me doesn’t work — not on any site. After 5 days of nothing, I emailed them again, and their "solution" was basically telling me to wait two weeks for a tracking number to start working. TWO WEEKS. Seriously???

At this point, it’s clear Playasia has no idea how to manage stock or logistics. If you can’t even guarantee the stuff you already have or provide working tracking, why are you even selling anything?

Playasia is a complete mess. Save yourself the stress. THINK a hundred thousand times before spending a dime there.

Great website but small feedback note

I just recently received my item and it is in top condition, so great job. But I am something to note, can you add different options to which shipping company I can choose from, like DHL, UPS, FEDEX etc… that was my only concern about this website.

I spent 200 dollars on Playstation…

I spent 200 dollars on Playstation cards. They emailed me to put me through a 'verification process' after they had already taken the money. It is now 48 hours later and I have had zero refund and absolutely no support from customer service. They are abrupt and rude. Essentially they have stolen 200 dollars from me. The verification should be done on sign up - not AFTER you have taken payment for an item. Outrageous service.

I feel mistreated and very upset by their conduct.

Terrible service

I ordered some games on 21Feb2025 but waited for nearly one month I didn't receive any so I emailed to their customer service and was told one of the game wasn't in stock!!! How come I know and they even not updated the status. Then I requested refund the one and asked to ship others right away. They promised to refund and ship others but after one week the status not changed and I sent another email to chase up and was told products pending for inspection. So I would like to ask what kinda inspection took so long????Or they just lied and actually nothing in stock????
I would ask for cancellation the whole order and get redund and never purchase again and not recommend anyone!!!!!

SCAMMERS, FRAUDULENT PRACTICES

I bought 2 games in the same order on the 12th of February, which I received on the 7th of March. One of the games they sent was not what I ordered: it was a different version from the one that was advertised in the listing and which I bought.

They were falsely advertising a particular version of that game which I ordered and paid 65.73€ for and they sent me a different version I would have never bought otherwise.
I contacted them and let them know what I consider a fair resolution: either send the correct version that was in the listing, which I ordered, or fully refund the 65.73€ I paid for the game.

They replied and acknowledged and admitted the false advertising and that they sent the wrong item and told me "We can give you $5 store credit as an act of goodwill" (framing it as if they're doing me a favor or something) - essentially forcing me into buying the wrong item they sent and also coercing me into buying from them again, to use the store credit. That is absolutely insulting.
I told them that is unacceptable and to proceed to refund the 65.73€ I paid.

They said "You can send the wrong item back and AFTER we get it, we can refund 53€ which is the 'product cost'. We can cover the return shipping" (presenting as an offer the bare minimum of covering the return shipping for their mistake).
So basically, they want me to lose 12.73€ of the 65.73€ I paid. I will have no game, and on top of that, they want to keep part of my money, 12.73€ of what I paid.
So they are trying to pocket the amount of 12.73€ I paid for VAT for the game. When a transaction is refunded, the VAT paid must also be refunded, keeping the VAT for a transaction that is not valid and not completed is ILLEGAL. Keeping the VAT from a refunded transaction is ILLEGAL.

So I called them out on it, that it is illegal, and they said the VAT is collected by the government and they do not keep it. And to send the wrong item back, they will refund 53€ and they will add $10 store credit. Same as above, store credit is not a refund - it is a trick to keep you stuck into buying from them again. By the way, when refunding an item not as described, the refund must be in the original payment method and not as store credit unless the consumer has explicitly agreed to it. If they haven't agreed to it, forcing store credit is also illegal.

I called them out on it again pointing out that the government keeps VAT for a COMPLETED transaction - they do not keep VAT for a NON-EXISTENT product. This time I gave them an ultimatum to refund the full amount of 65.73€ directly into my PayPal account until the 2nd of April, 11:30 PM HKT or I will be filing a PayPal dispute.

They completely ignored me and simply repeated the same exact nonsense "We want to assure you that we are not attempting to withhold any VAT unlawfully" - a blatant lie - just because you say so it doesn't make it true. "Our refund process is conducted in accordance with applicable regulations." - vague serious-sounding word salad that in reality doesn't mean anything. "Send it back, 53€ refund, $10 store credit".

I should also add that sending the wrong item back, especially in a case of false advertising, should never be a requirement - it should be at the customer's discretion whether they want to send it back or not - why should the consumer be inconvenienced at all for their mistake? It is absurd and unethical to hold the customer's money hostage before they issue a refund for something that is entirely their fault and their responsibility.
Of course, there is absolutely zero guarantee they will actually refund any money at all after they get the wrong item back. They can very easily completely ignore me after that since at that point they will have both the wrong item and my money in their hands.

I replied to issue the refund immediately to my PayPal account and after it has been confirmed we can discuss the return of the wrong item at my convenience with a prepaid shipping label provided by them.
They completely ignored me.

They count on people who are not familiar with the law and their consumer rights buying into their polished reasonable-sounding deceit.
They repeat the same things over and over again to wear you out and to mentally exhaust you so you will not want to deal with the situation anymore and give up.
They also try to stall you so you will lose the window during which you can file a dispute on PayPal.

Play-asia is a shady business that wants to scam you out of your money. From the bottom of my heart, I am telling you:
STAY AWAY from them, STAY AWAY from Play-asia.

HORRIBLE BUSINESS

HORRIBLE SERVICE

I order 2 games and was told they will be shipped in 15 days. When the status didn't change after the duration I messaged customer service only to be told one of the games wasn't in stock and they're working with their supplier to get it and put my order on hold. The item was still listed on the website as available. It has been over a month now, they refuse to offer any compensation and they have stopped replying to my enquiries. The item is still listed as available, what kind of business takes money from customers for items they dont have??
Update: Around the same time i posted this review they've emailed me the item is now in stock and will be shipped before end of day tomorrow pending a quality inspection
Update 2: almost 3 months later I finally received my order

I do not like their checkout

I do not like their checkout, i was 100% sure what i paid for went through yet their auto system kept sending me emails that i had not finished paying. So it said on my bank account the money went through, but when i emailed them they told me back that it didn't and must of gotten declined with paypal check with my bank. The reason why im annoyed is because you can easily pay 3 times and there is a chance they could say the same thing. It seems suspicious that their checkout does that, it should either say insufficiant funds for payment or just accept it like a full transaction if you have the money in there. Im not sure what happened but i am now hesitant to be purchasing again because i have no idea what happened to the transaction i saw, as i paid for this first i do have a pay in 4 that was due but i dont know how thats possible to see that this did go through and then to see that it didn't but the pay in 4 transaction went through first, thats not what i witnessed. Weird

So according to them i didn't pay it, money didn't go through therefor i dont get my eshop card do not know who to believe these days when i have a screenshot saying it went through, maybe it was a glitch im not sure if im overeacting but this is strange. Stay away from them i think after covid this website has become desperate into finding ways of scamming customers. They pretended to act innocent right off the bat... another trusted name gone, im shocked. Dont even know if the game i preordered will even get to me if other customers are saying they have not been notified about their preorders. Yeah i just hope that pre order gets to me atleast, otherwise i have to dispute it with paypal, if i can find these transactions?

I purchased a key for a game

I purchased a key for a game, which did not work. I sent them screen shots of the code input into steam and the error message I received. They now want screen shots of every page of my steam profile to process a refund or provide a working key. This is a very shady company. I would not make any further purchases from them. I'll have to use PayPal now to get my money back, which is ridiculous. These people need to be run out of business. They seem to have no problem robbing their customers and taking no responsibility, by requiring inappropriate and unnecessarily intrusive requirements to pay me back the money that they just stole from me.

Nothing in Stock...

I've placed two orders with Playasia—one in 2024 and another in 2025—and neither was ever delivered because they didn’t have the items in stock.

For my first order, I waited a month before being informed that they couldn’t fulfill it, and my order was canceled. Strangely, a few weeks later, the same item reappeared on their website at a higher price—seemingly, they didn’t want to sell it to me at the original price.

For my second order, after another month of waiting, I reached out to them only to learn that they still hadn’t received the item from their supplier.

In both cases, Playasia never sent any updates regarding my order status—I had to contact them myself after a long wait just to find out what was happening. Their lack of communication and professionalism was frustrating, and ultimately, I never received anything I ordered.

At this point, I doubt they operate as a legitimate store, and I cannot recommend them.

Hopefully customer support reads these and can get back in touch with me I'll pull this bad review down.

I ordered two games over a year ago, it was a Pre-order but the games are now in stock and I've emailed you guys and you won't return any of my request. I was about to order 4 more games but now I'm scared until you get to me what I've paid for

They fixed my issue and shipped my games so I changed my 1 star to a 5 star. Anyone can make a simple mistake, to admit it and correct it, in business is Paramount !!!!

When I order something from playasia, I can always count that I get my order in top condition.
I ordered similar things on other websites and often had problems. But even if there is something wrong with my order by playasia, I get an info what the problem is and that they will fix it to get my order delivered.
