DON’T BECOME A DREAMCATCHER
As many have reviewed this too, I will also add my own experience. I became a Dreamcatcher 50 for £39.99/month and cannot cancel the subscription. I have tried on both mobile, and computer but to no avail. There is an awkwardly placed live chat feature in the way of cancelling with NO agents. I have again been billed a further £39.99 because I was unable to cancel it. Unsure of what to do, but I’m going to speak to my bank before the transaction is processed and hope it bounces. Really angry as Calvin from the YouTube channel Calvin’s Car diary’s owns this platform, and I have been made a fool by its scam nature. Just to make this worse, I’ve been a fan/subscriber of Calvin for years now, so this has made me lose faith in him and his channel. Money hungry and not a pleasant experience. Please do not go to effort of becoming a dreamcatcher.

You're right, and I'm sorry this happened – being unable to cancel is one thing, but being billed again on top of that is worse. Our records show this was refunded when your subscription was cancelled manually, but I appreciate that doesn't undo the stress of it happening in the first place.
On cancellation itself: at the time, it went through our support team manually rather than being self-serve, and we were also running a live chat function alongside email support that we struggled to keep on top of – which is exactly why it felt impossible to get through. That's on us, not something you did wrong.
We've since built self-serve cancellation directly into your account settings, so this can't happen again – no live chat, no support step, just a couple of clicks. It's something we'd wanted in place from early on, but it took time to get working properly with our payment provider.
On the Calvin point: he's seen this one, and it landed hard – hearing that a long-time supporter walked away feeling this way isn't something he takes lightly.
We know that doesn't undo the experience you had, but wanted you to know it was heard.

Can't cancel my subscription
Can't cancel my subscription. It should be just as easy as joining but it isn't. That's just a red flag in my eyes I've been trying for ages now and unless I call them up I don't think there's any other way. But if I do manage to cancel I'll be sure to let those of u who want to cancel how I went about doing it

Looking at these comments which have been made. I had used the live chat and I didn’t get a response but the following day I did immediately. my questions were answered in a professional and timely manner.. we have all got a social life without being on a keyboard constantly. Calvin is also running a business which he is trying to keep a float given the current circumstances which we are facing as a nation, There could be just a glitch on the website which is preventing you from leaving dreamcatcher, but for £10pm in my opinion is great compared to the other sites which are ridiculously stupid 99p a ticket and there is like 999,000 people? Chances are very slim compared to Calvin’s competition. Calvin is trying to do a good thing and give back and I do believe he is a very humble guy!. (not paid to say this or even put a comment) but 5*** all the way for the service which you are providing in the current circumstances.

Do not become a dreamcatcher
As other reviews have mentioned, if you ever want to cancel your subscription, you'll find yourself out of luck. Don't even bother with their 'live' chat system - seems all their agents are dead! Been messaging for 3 days now and heard aboslutely nothing. Literally had to get Citizens Advice involved before they actioned anything at all. Be prepared to open a case with your bank to block any payments.

At the time, we actioned cancellations the day before the next billing date, so you'd get the full value of the month you'd already paid for rather than losing days you'd paid for – which may be part of what felt like a delay here. Cancellations also went through our support team manually rather than being self-serve, and we were running a live chat function alongside email support that we struggled to keep on top of. We're sorry for the wait and any lack of response in that window – that side of it wasn't good enough.
Since then we've dropped live chat entirely in favour of a single, properly monitored email channel, and cancellation is now instant and self-serve from your account – no support step, no waiting.

Couldn't Cancel Membership!
Went to cancel my membership as i don't have a lot of spare money at the moment. It is £9.99 a month only to find out it doesn't actually allow you to cancel it. There is a fake "i want to cancel button" at the bottom of the website however this does not work and does not have a link to anywhere by design. Unsure if this is on purpose but do not take out a membership until this is resolved.

Sorry for the frustration here – you're right that this wasn't good enough at the time. To be clear, it wasn't by design: the cancel flow back then relied on a manual step from our support team that wasn't fast enough, not an intentional trap.

I have been trying to cancel my £9.99…
I have been trying to cancel my £9.99 membership for a week now. The website doesn’t allow you to and keeps sending you to live chat function that never has anyone active to respond. I have been trying since Sunday to cancel my subscription, it’s now Wednesday, no reply, no email. Nothing SCAM, Calvin (business owner) you should be ashamed as you portray yourself as a humble, respectful businessman.

Back in March 2023, cancelling a subscription wasn't something you could do yourself on the site – it had to go through our support team manually, and at the time we were also running a live chat function that we found hard to keep on top of alongside email support. The result was exactly what you experienced: you tried to cancel, got bounced between an overloaded live chat and no response, and had to chase us for days for something that should have taken thirty seconds. That's a fair complaint, and we're sorry it took as long as it did.
Since then we've dropped live chat entirely in favour of a single, properly monitored email channel, and cancellation is now instant and self-serve from your account settings – no waiting on anyone.
On a personal note from Calvin: he reads these, and this one bothered him. With an audience of 500k+ across his channels, it's genuinely difficult to keep on top of everyone's experience all the time, and this is exactly the kind of thing he doesn't want happening to people who've followed and supported him. He appreciates you saying it plainly rather than letting it slide.
We don't expect this reply to undo a bad experience from a couple of years back, but if you ever fancied giving us another look, we'd genuinely like the chance to show you it's a different experience now. No pressure either way – just wanted you to know it was heard, and it's fixed.
