Every single time I buy from this store either my order doesn’t get delivered or they send me spoiled stuff. I will not buy from Pingo Doce ever again. You deserve to fail.

The online store is full of errors, I have lost a few hours (in last 2 months) on adding products to Cart to get an error on checkout (blank page with JSON code). Cart with 80-100 products is lost, no way to get it back, and there is no order in the history. They send me an email about the error but without any way to get back the cart... It happened few times already, I had to add all products again. Never again... I will not risk my time...

I have to write up this as i am annoyed and it is not the first time. I bought a packed of sliced ham in Pingo Doce yesterday. A large pack to find when i got home that it goes off today... upon opening it yesterday, it was slimey:( i bought chicken there before and it stank and apparently within date.. sure it was!! The meat is often out of date to the point, i now buy mine elsewhere. And please, bring back the fresh Deli Counter in the Arruda dos Vinhos branch:( You did the whole place up soooo nice and then removed the best part of the shop! Why? Now i have to buy plastic crap meat which has sell by dates and slimey meat in it:(

The Pingo Doce cafeteria serves reasonable food, however they could be a bit generous with the fillings, I had a croissant with ham and cheese that was pre wrapped and it only had 1 slice of ham and one slice of cheese, very sad !

Pingo doce is a company focused on physical space. They have online support, but it doesn't work properly, the online blog lost its family. So I went to the place and drew conclusions there.
The good thing is that it also worked online.

Long queues with multiple cashiers unavailable. Sells kitchen paper rolls in packs of 2, 3, and 4 with different lengths such that the pack of 2 is the cheapest per meter and the pack of 4 is the most expensive per meter. Conceals option/possibility of redeeming BP points, forbids employees from disclosing it.

Good support, refunds spoiled food.

In this text I am specifically referring to Pingo Doce Centro Comercial Riviera.
The service at the tills by your staff is excellent.
The staff at the fish counter are great too.
I have given you 2/5 for the following reasons:
1. I found the freezer door slightly open and dislodged an obstacle that prevented the door from being closed. The frozen sea food is full of ice and it is a shame that these doors are not checked and closed. It is a waste of money for the shop and gives a very bad image as no-one will buy these products.
2. Maybe it could be possible that if you don't need fish to be cut and you want to take it away in one piece and arrange it yourself then maybe a better and quicker system could be implemented instead of having to wait so that other staff that are there and are not cutting fish can do just place the fish in a bag and weigh it for you.
3. I tried to find fresh spinach, grelos, nabiça and there was none to buy. Surely Pingo Doce should have a regular stock of these products as they are basic for the health of the population? These are in season and it is a shame that we have to buy washed spinach in bags that is also far more expensive. It is very important that we have a supply of fresh vegetables locally for those people that are unable to get to the local market.

Good grocery shop but less product choice. Only big pingo doce store has variety of products but small shops have reduced daily used items than before. But the I like the chicken most than other groceries.

Why are the queue's always so big? ALWAYS. Employ more people, have faster queues, make more money. Or don't and continue to have 1 on Trustpilot...

Great space, staff friendly. Low choice of products.
Restaurant very well stocked and fresh. 5 euros from my hotel, but is walkable.

Walked 30 mins to get to PD near Vila Sol. Tried to purchase motion sickness tablets at the pharmacist counter.
Assistant refused point blank to try to help or look at my phone screen where I had a clear picture of the tablets I wanted to purchase. Would not serve me because I couldn’t ask for the tablets in Portuguese. I’m on holiday I don’t live here.
Shockingly unhelpful and rude to me.

Very bad customer service

Decided to try this company for some suppliers, products seem OK, gave the man at checkout €50 , gave me €4 back not €14 , pointed this out to him , gave me the €10 , obviously was going to keep the money for himself , will avoid this company , check your change people .....not for me again

Fresh products! Easy process for purchase!

Always great service, great price and fresh products. Best supermarket in Portugal no doubts, has the best promotions, lovely staff and has everything you could ask for.

poorest service - the staff is very slow, most of them are poorly trained, have no idea of what they are doing, making lots of mistakes, some of those mistakes can easily cause serious health problems. My wife has a strong allergy to casein and was served a meal full of it despite her request. As a result she is now in pain and has an inflammation that will last for weeks.

Also the stores are usually dirty, some security guards are beyond rude and the vegetable counters are often covered with mold. We stopped going there and advise others to be extremely careful with the products from PD.
