I contacted Petmoves Intouk while arranging pet transport from Paris to the UK. For context, I reached out to 11 different pet transport services, built an Excel spreadsheet comparing pet taxi price points, routes, and logistics, and did careful due diligence. I am happy to share the spreadsheet with anyone who wants to DM me.

Petmoves Intouk’s pet transport quote came in nearly triple what other reputable Paris to UK pet taxi services are charging for comparable routes and services. Their initial email was vague and poorly written, with unclear pricing, missing logistics, and no van availability.

When I replied with comparative price points from other pet transport companies, instead of explaining the price difference, clarifying their services, or politely declining, Petmoves Intouk replied with the following message verbatim:

"If you can’t afford then do not use do lit waste our time.
Have a great day."

Affordability was not the issue. Transparency and professionalism were.

If you are searching for pet transport reviews, pet taxi Paris UK, or international pet relocation services, this kind of communication is a serious red flag. Pet transport is a trust based service. You are handing over a living animal. If this is how Petmoves Intouk communicates before any booking, I would strongly question how they handle pets, schedules, or issues when something goes wrong.

Posting this as a warning so others researching Petmoves Intouk, pet relocation Paris to UK, or pet taxi services can make an informed decision. Disrespectful communication like this is unacceptable in any business, especially one responsible for animal welfare.

Fantastic service! We were moving from Berlin to London and found out quite late in the process that we wouldn't be able to take our elderly cat with us in the airplane cabin. Barry provided amazing service throughout - he answered our questions about the required paperwork, provided clear information so we would know exactly what to expect during the ride from Paris to London, and even offered to mail back a coat that we accidentally left behind. We were pretty nervous about traveling with an elderly, very anxious cat, so having an experienced person there was invaluable to us and made the whole process a breeze. It's clear that he truly cares about pets, too; he checked on our cat regularly during the ride and provided everything he'd need, from blankets to water and a litter box.

I had the most abhorrent experience with this company, culminating in my financial institution having to get involved to get my £1860 deposit back from them.

This company is neither flexible nor accommodating if your travel schedule changes. It is well known that travel plans change, airlines may cancel/delay flights, etc. You would expect a company offering transport services from an airport to be able to accommodate changes in travel schedules. Not Pet Moves! They had quoted me a price of £3600 to transport me, my Yorkie, husband and child from Charles de Gaulle Airport in Paris to Greater London. I paid the 50% deposit, but when I had to amend my travel date due to family illness they said they could not accommodate a change in my pick up date from the airport and there were no other dates available for almost a whole week! Their Business Terms and Conditions were ambiguous. It said you may incur a cancellation penalty fee. It didn’t state what the cancellation penalty fee was or how much notice was required to cancel. I repeatedly enquired about their cancellation policy and received no response. They finally responded that they were keeping my entire 50% deposit if I cancelled! I tried to negotiate a reasonable settlement with them, offering them to retain 1/2 the deposit (ie. £930) and return the balance to me. They were quite rude and then stopped responding altogether.

I had to find another pet transport company and found one that was awesome! The new pet transport company’s rate was 75% less expensive than Pet Moves Ltd. for the exact same service. They charged only £1100. They permitted changes to your travel dates and also cancellations with a full refund. Their service was impeccable. Pet Moves Ltd. was the opposite in business acumen and customer service.

I made enquiries of my local police department about getting my money back from Pet Moves and was told to file a dispute with my bank, which I did. My bank collected statements and documents from both me and Pet Moves Ltd. to determine the case and after two months of stress dealing with this, the bank decided in my favour that Pet Moves Ltd. was not entitled to keep my deposit. Thankfully, I received my full deposit back.

It was an absolutely horrible and stressful experience. I now have an appreciation that the quote received from Pet Moves was extraordinarily expensive in comparison to other reputable companies providing the same service; and Pet Moves’ customer service was deplorable. How does a company justify keeping approximately £2000 for a service it did not provide? From another review I’ve read, I see that Pet Moves did this to another customer during the pandemic when they tried to change their travel plans.

I strongly do not recommend this company. Based on my experience, they are overpriced, inflexible, rude, unreasonable and unfair.

UPDATE: Petmoves’ response to my review is full of inaccuracies and outright lies to defend their unethical behavior. I stand by my review. Notwithstanding Barry’s response, the alternative pet moving abroad company I spoke of in my review does indeed provide top rate service for an incredible price in comparison to Petmoves. The alternative company has a full 5 star rating on Trust Pilot out of 785 reviews. Petmoves has 4.5 stars with only 108 reviews. So no matter what Barry writes, his prices and customer service are not as excellent as he states, quite the opposite, in my experience! You’d do well to shop around before settling for Petmoves.

Seamless experience

Barry was very communicative and walked us through every step of transporting our cats to the UK. He answered all our questions beforehand and the experience on the day of our move went perfectly.

Barry at Pet Moves was absolutely phenomenal. The service from start to finish was exactly what I wanted and more. My kitty Papa was SO comfortable and this is saying a lot as he is usually very scared and reserved. Throughout the entire drive my kitty was happy to have enough space to walk around and stretch his legs. I cannot thank Pet Moves enough for truly giving us a first class experience. Barry has been indispensable in making this move from US to the UK as stress-free as possible. It was my cat’s first time travelling and my first time travelling with a pet, so anxieties have been high, but Barry has been responsive, professional, and reliable throughout. He was considerate and efficient and managed to make a much dreaded journey pleasant. Thank you Barry for going above and beyond!

Moved two cats from the USA to UK, via Paris. So glad I invested in Pet Moves. Barry assured me of my paperwork from afar when my vet messed up the paperwork- that assurance was worth it all! Once we got to Paris, it was such smooth sailing- I think the cats even enjoyed their ride.

This services has to be the most mindful, friendly and efficient that I’ve dealt in many different aspects. Our trip began with Edward in CDG, and he had a Caravelle loaded with amenities for our cat Tommy as we crossed all together the channel to the UK. We had time to make stops as appropriate, grabbed goodies from the lounge at the LeShuttle and guidance (and fun conversations) on the way, which literally ended at the door of our new flat. I can’t recommend this service more and I’m even trying to make it standard with my company for relocation to the UK with pets.

Pet Moves was a wonderful help in getting my little dog into the UK after a long trans-Atlantic flight. Barry was highly experienced and professional, and took a genuine interest in Pippin -- his own love of dogs came across, and he made us very welcome, with regular breaks and chances for Pippin to spend some time in the fresh air after a long journey. Would highly recommend for anyone looking to make such a journey. Being able to have Pippin by my side for the whole trip from the States was very important to me, and Pet Moves was integral to making this happen.

An absolute godsend for us in getting our cat to London without having to put her in the cargo hold of the plane. Edward and Barry were professional, caring and communicative, helping us at every step of the way and ensuring that our entire move went smoothly!

Barry and his team at Pet Moves offer an incredible service. We recently relocated from the USA to the UK and due to UK restrictions, we were not able to fly into the UK with our cat in the cabin. Pet Moves offers the perfect solution to this problem. We flew into Paris and we were then picked up by Barry’s son and driven directly to our flat in London. They arrived right on time at the airport in Paris for our pickup, got us through customs at the border, and delivered us to our flat flawlessly. The vehicle was comfortable and they were so kind to our cat. Prior to our journey, they also checked our pet paperwork to ensure everything was in order. This took a lot of the stress out of the trip. Honestly, these guys were a life saver!

Barry is an extremely customer centric individual. From the first exchange via email, his consideration has always been the well-being of my cat as well as myself. Upon arrival to the airport (5AM), Barry was responsive and prepared. The van was in sterile and comfortable condition.

Futhermore, it was clear he is very experienced (more than 20 years)

He was well prepared with a litterbox as well as blanket. He was knowledgeable about all customs procedures as well as the logistics route to ensure a fine balance between rest breaks, rest area quality, as well as wait times and logistics.

Needless to say, it was beyond my expectation.

This is a one stop shop that eliminates the stress. They are a family run business with deep experience and a big heart. They are not the cheapest but after evaluating options, I am confident it was the right decision for me. It took the stress out of what was a stressful experience through knowledge, pragmatism, and most importantly, a kind and compassionate point of view.

The whole experience was fantastic. Barry was incredibly responsive and helpful; the information provided was very clear and easy to follow; and the journey from CDG to Canterbury seamless. Can’t recommend them highly enough.

Petmoves did an absolutely wonderful job transporting us with our cat during our move to the UK. They went above and beyond to make us comfortable, offering stops whenever we needed them, providing a litter box and even an extra stop along the way to pick something up for our cat. Our cat was so happy to relax after his long flight and came out of his carrier to nap on our laps during the ride. Highly recommend this excellent service!

I meant to write this several months ago, but after moving from California to the UK, settling in and unpacking was chaotic... and yet, I kept a tab here open because extolling Pet Moves for their incredible services and kindness has remained a priority for me. I want other pet parents in need of similar help to know that Barry's are the safest pair of hands you could hope for for you and your pets.

I'm originally from California and have 3 cats - 2 seniors and 1 young ginger who thinks he's a dog. 1 of my seniors has a pretty significant heart murmur, and his cardiologist told us that while he was more than safe to fly, he did NOT think he should be flying as cargo - Which was a problem, as the UK requires all animals to arrive as cargo. No exceptions.

I spent months doing research to figure out how to get us safely to the UK... I looked at flying to Amsterdam or Belgium or Paris and renting cars and roadtripping and taking ferries, but the time, complexity, and expense involved were immense, and I worried about prolonging the travel stress for the cats; I considered taking the QM2 and cruising them over, but 1) the bookings were delayed til 2023 due to COVID, and 2) I am not in the same tax bracket as Billy Zane; I reached out to concierge services that transport pets, and yet none had solutions that didn't involve manifest cargo.

Then I found Pet Moves and Barry. Barry simplified everything - I could fly us all to Paris CDG safely in cabin, and he would pick us up and chauffeur us all across the Channel to Folkestone, where I'd have a ride awaiting us to take us on to London (though he would have taken us to London had we needed him to). He gave us sound guidance on what we needed. He picked us up and was incredibly timely and communicative and straightforward. The van itself was very roomy, comfortably for myself, my siblings helping me move/escort the cats, the cats themselves (we were able to safely uncrate them so they could sit on our laps or under the seats, which was a relief after 16 hours of travel!), and a tidy little litter box, no less. He is an obvious pet lover and parent himself, so the drive from CDG to Calais and on to Folkestone was pleasant and safe, and he was solicitous about stopping for food and stretch breaks for humans and cats alike.

Once we reached Folkestone, my other brother was intended to meet us with a rental car from Heathrow at an easily accessible rest stop recommended by Barry, with loads of seating, showers, and places for food. Due to delays at Heathrow, my brother was running quite late, well over an hour, and rather than leave us with our baggage and cats at the stop, Barry decided to stay with us. That was complete kindness on his part, and while unnecessary, it was greatly appreciated; while going inside would have been fine for we humans, the cats would have been incredibly stressed out by the lights and smells and people roaming around, and they would have been stuck back in their crates for an indefinite amount of time. By staying with us, Barry ensured the cats could stay relaxed and at ease and safe, and that gift of his time meant the world to my travel-frayed nerves.

As I said, I did quite a lot of homework trying to sort out the best and safest way to get myself and my pets to our new home, and Barry was it. I couldn't possibly hold him in higher regard, and am grateful to him for the new life my cats and I are already enjoying. We're so much happier now, and it wouldn't have been possible without him and his services!

I used Pet Moves with my partner to move our cat from Paris CDG to London, and our experience was excellent. Our cat is very skittish but this part of our trip could not have gone more smoothly. Edward was our driver -- he was wonderful. He met us at exactly the time/place we had coordinated, the ride was very comfortable, and he was really helpful with all documentation/cat needs/stops. Thank you so much! We are very glad we chose Pet Moves for our move.

Found Pet Moves by chance after numerous hours of research. Barry was always very encouraging and supportive, even when the flight was changed to depart 12 hours later!

Once they were picked up in Paris, Barry kept me informed of progress and delivered them safely to the collection point at Folkestone.

Thanks for a good service, would definitely recommend, you get what you pay for and I couldn’t put a price on having my son and his pet home safely.
