While we don't verify specific claims because reviewers' opinions are their own, we may label reviews as "Verified" when we can confirm a business interaction took place. Read more

Very expensive phone call was a complete waste of time and money
Still on hold,3 days so far. Trying to change details.
Definitely not fit for purpose.
Complete waste of time. Been ringing every morning and every afternoon for over a week....no reply. Add to that it seems on some (may be all?) afternoons they seem to close soon after lunch - nice job if you can get one I suppose. If that is not frustrating enough every time you ring (I'm up to dozens of calls) you have to listen to 2 mins of drivel before you are told there is no-one to answer your call.
I waited for a,week for a booked appointment but the call was a total waste of time. I was not expecting advice but they wouldn't even answer my questions. They work from a script and didn't offer me any help. A web site would have been just as useful.
Used online service, as advised on the site, due to COVID restrictions, 7 October. Auto reply said response within five working days. Didn't happen. Nudged the service (again, online), 1 November. Same robot reply. Waited 'til 7 November, when I nudged them (once more, online). Would have hoped for a reply by today...giving up now. USELESS
complete waste of time, utterly useless! Told me to speak to my IFA, rather than give me some independant unbiased advice.
Dont bother, if the question is difficult they just leave the chat before you have finished.
Another pointless, toothless organisation, can only really give generic information that is readily available on the web, can't answer any specific questions or help with disputes, just reel out the same line 'have you tried writing to your pension provider'. I expect we all have and in frustration, turn to these government backed pension help centres who can't actually help. Don't mean to be disrespectful, but it's like going to the volunteers at Citizens Advice, all they do is google the problem and give you a link that you've already found that doesn't resolve your problem. Do what we did, pay the money and consult with an independent pension advisor.
A good resource for demystifying the world of pensions with information written in plain English.
