I ordered and paid a £5000 deposit but I told them I would not be able to collect the car for about a month , which would be on the 21st of June. But on that day my wife was rushed into hospital after a heart attack. So goes without saying I did not pick the car up.over the next month I kept in contact with them to let them know I would get the car as soon as I could . After about 3/4 weeks I text the sales team with a question about ULEZ and that is when I got a call from the owner Rob . And make no bones about it all he cares about is money . And the rubbish about making customers happy is a joke . He made it plain to me he did not care about my wife's problems and I had to come and get the car and pay the balance by Friday. I do not know if he felt I was trying to get out of the deal , which I am not but I do not like to spoken to in such a way . So if you are going to do business with them try not to do it with Rob

I purchased a car from this company, I did my research and they had a good due diligence process, where the seller disclose’s any modifications.

One would think they pass this information onto the buyer. OH NO. After the first service it was discovered that my car was modified and invalidated the warranty. Leaving me with a several thousand pound bill, higher insurance premiums.

I’ve been in touch with the owner of the garage, on the defensive, blaming every body else. Refused to help. I’ve since reported to the Motor Ombudsman and requested a Subject Access Request…low and behold they don’t keep electronic DATA. Just a sales invoice. Everything else is deleted…conveniently.

If you are buying a performance car from Penguin, make sure you get it checked independently, which may involve a remapping specialist or a mains dealer.

This company is not part of any regulated body ie Motor Ombudsman and therefore your only form of redress is the small claims court.

Part of there complaints policy actually refers you to the Motor Ombudsman, which as already stated they are not part of the deeper I delve the more fishy this becomes…….now I know the real reason for the name Penguin.
