I purchased a pella sliding patio door from Lowes in July 2025. A month later the molding on the glass came loose. I called pella and they sent a field professional out for assessment and a replacemen... See more

Save your money
Save your money. Spent over $50k on replacements. So far 2 years install was good but they DO NOT HELP WITH REDUCING HEAT from the sun. That is the reason we replaced our window. It is now 60F in 30143 but it is 79F in my house for the heat from the sun through the windows. I bought these so not to have to pay for AC when 60F out! Total false advertising
Worst Window I have ever seen
I have windows (Stationary units) leak BAD have from day one, company will do nothing. Vary poor design, worst window I have ever seen. Other issues with patio side windows seals leak, destroyed my wood floors, charged for the labor to fix!! Pella has zero customer service!! Do not buy Pella Windows!!
Terrible customer service
Terrible customer service! Don't buy their products. I'm waiting for a quote on a $60 part (it's been over a month) and can't use my door in the interim. What is wrong with these people?
Ghosted after estimate
Requested service. After an initially pleasant conversation, we got a quote and submitted the signed estimate. We've been waiting for a response. And waiting. And waiting. It's been a couple weeks and still no response. Tried email. Tried calling. As with many companies today, difficult to get a live person. Would not recommend.
Don't bother spending extra on Pella…
Don't bother spending extra on Pella windows for the warranty, they don't honor it. I had 2 windows break recently, the only two of many in my house that had condensation between the panes for a year or so. They claimed both breaks were from an external force, but they were in the middle of the night in a private backyard in front of a motion light that didn't go off, with no sign of impact. Their "experts" made the determination and there is nothing you can do but replace for over $900.
Cannot recommend the customer service
I am giving three stars because I do like the storm door and it lasted eight years with no problems. My complaint is with the customer service. They have a system where you have to call in and give all your information twice, once for Pella and once for the storm door department, and then they give you an appointment for a callback. My call back was made early so I missed it and had to start over again. Then I was given a time for the next morning, which was New Year’s Eve and they didn’t call back until the day after New Year’s, without confirming this. Then they call from an unknown number, so I did not pick up. There is also an option three on the storm door department menu for not having your registration number, which I did not have because you have to be able to open the door to see the number and my problem was that the door was jammed shut. But the option three does not work so there is no way to proceed. Just a really messed up way of dealing with Customer Service.
I purchased a home with Pella Windows
I purchased a home with Pella windows. The home was built in 1995 and has the Designer Series original windows. I called to get replacement Sashes; however, I was informed Pella does not transfer warranties. Additionally, the Design Series is no longer manufactured so I couldn't get replacements if I wanted to anyway. I was also informed by my salesman that they do not offer Pella financing in my area so even if I wanted to spend $50k on new windows, I would have to do this out of pocket. I find Pella a very disappointing brand at best. The one good thing I can say about the company is the customer service representatives I had were very helpful. I highly recommend you do your homework and to be honest I would walk away from this one. If you want to sell your house, this will not be a selling point and certainly should. Your windows are meaningless to the buyer.
Sliding Door installed in 2019
Sliding Door installed in 2019. Beads between the glass, insulation strip fell out. $355. To repair strip. Did not replace the glass due to cost $3000+. Very unhappy with a 5 year old door failing so miserably. No more Pella Dorrs for me!
Empty Promises Over and Over
Never again. Who knew a simple sliding door installation could get screwed up so bad? They measured wrong. They forgot to put in spray insulation. The shimmed it so bad both the screen and main door wouldn't fully close. There was visible hammer damage on the exterior that actually cracked the vinyl. They had to replace our existing trim because the measurement was so far off. Over 2 months and half a dozen calls and emails later and it still is only partially fixed.
DO NOT GO WITH PELLA!
Unfortunately, I have pella windowS in my house. I tried to replace the screens but they do not sell them on their website. I contacted customer service and they could care less. When some girl finally called me, she was so arrogant, like she was doing me a favor. I just hung up on her. Do not waste your time and money with this company.
We bought a Pella full view storm door…
We bought a Pella full view storm door and realized when it was installed that the screen would be pushed out any time someone left the house. Very poor engineering!
We solved the problem by buying a screen door guard rail and used heavy duty Velcro tape to secure it to the edge of the door frame. That way when cold weather came, we could just take the screen guard off so the glass could be installed easily. Put the guard back on and feel pretty comfortable with how we dealt with such a ridiculous situation.
Also, when my husband went to put in the winter glass
insert, it took him a long time to get the glass to fit into the frame and then put the flanges back to keep the glass from falling out. Our Anderson storm door is a cinch compared to the Pella!
Called Pella to order a Pella storm…
Called Pella to order a Pella storm door multi-point mortise lock replacement part. The automated process said I had a 44-minute wait, but they would call me back in 44 minutes. That was 5 days ago, and I have not heard from Pella yet nor do I expect to hear from them. I spent over $20,000 on Pella windows and doors so you think they would respond to a former customer??? Pella in my book now rates a zero.

Four of four windows were defective
Four of four windows I purchased from Pella were defective, requiring replacement of the sashes. The employees were helpful with the warranty work EXCEPT for scheduling and cancelling the repair TWO times, the second time only an hour before the repairman was supposed to arrive, forcing me to change my schedule THREE times to accommodate Pella's incompetence. I have no doubt the employees hate working for a company with the kinds of issues Trustpilot reviews demonstrate: it sucks to be caught between your salary and working for a company that the overwhelming majority of customers apparently find sells defective products.
I wanted to love Pella…
I wanted to love Pella. I was interested in a particular feature; they were the only brand carrying it. I was impressed with their products, and the sales rep was knowledgeable and friendly. I was told that buying from Pella was white glove service, and they would coordinate and be responsible for everything from the measurements, ordering, and installation to warranty coverage. The price of the products reflected the claimed commitment to quality and service. Although paying top dollar, I was convinced that my investment would pay off in terms of ease of mind.Unfortunately, the reality is I have paid way too much for one headache after another. The initial installation was horrendous. The trim was of substandard grade; it was cut up and gouged with rough, uneven edges. My backsplash was broken and the installers filled quarter sized gaps with caulk. I was told they would be primed and ready to be painted. I was left with crooked trim, unfilled nail holes, mitered corners that didn't match, gobs of caulk at every seam, and one window that wasn't even trimmed! The hardware on my in-the-glass blinds was installed where it was unreachable without climbing up on my kitchen counters. This was after I explicitly discussed with the sales rep the need for the hardware to be located on the inside where it could be reached. I gave Pella the benefit of the doubt and multiple opportunities to fix the issues. The trim had to be ripped out, and the windows reinstalled. Service techs came to my house 3 more times attempting to fix blinds and screens. I waited 9+ months for screens that would function with my windows. A year+ after ordering and paying my 50% up-front, one of my four windows is still non-functional. If you want every step of the process to be exponentially more complicated than it needs to be, then Pella is your kind of operation. I previously built a custom home and have dealt with many contractors and repair people, but this has been the worst experience ever.
These people are a disaster
These people are a disaster. You can get a live person, especially in Portland OR. I have been on hold 3 times today, between 10 and 20 minutes each time. I have yet to reach a person to talk to about a product defect.
Paid 20k for poor results
For the amount of money we paid.. (over 20k) for two patio doors and 4 windows, I am disappointed. First, they installed our patio doors the wrong way.. never heard back on the them trying to rectifying. The biggest window we had installed is a lability, I can rest my hand on the screen and it just pops out..not safe with it being the second story, they don’t seemed concerned about that, someone came and looked at it, adjusted a flimsy notch and said that was the most they could do. The other 3 windows have this screen where it hides the screen when closed and when you open it the screen expands.. well that is the cheapest crap ever. We can’t even open the windows without the screen falling off the track and then it doesn’t move with the window. The amount of money we spent I expected our patio doors to be installed correctly and to not have cheap screens. I would not recommend.
Nightmare experience
I ordered two windows for replacement after the original ones began to leak 2 years after the sale of my apt (Pella warranty only covers 1 year), was told they do offer installation during the sale, but later got calls from multiple people from Pella claiming they only do curbside delivery, and would not give me any contact for an installation company to use. I was given the impression that no installation company that worked with them existed. And so had to spend thousands extra on labor and installation from another company because of their lack of communication.
They also canceled two different delivery dates without telling me, as they do not send out confirmation emails, so you will have to constantly call and remind them of the delivery date, etc. My window delivery was over 2 months late because you will have to beg and plead for them to schedule it in the first place.
I got the delivery scheduled, and the next day I got a call from Pella's Installation company claiming they will deliver and install 2 months after the new delivery date! They have no idea what theyre doing at all and its really unfortunate. I had already scheduled the other companies to finish the job they left undone, and had to refuse their offer of an even later shittier delivery and install job.
Please take it from me and use a different company that won't screw you over like this. I will never use this company again.
Outstanding Servce, Installation, and Price!
We had an outstanding experience with Pella Windows DFW, thanks to Ernie Borroto, our Replacement Sales Consultant. Ernie did a phenomenal job educating us on the quality, longevity, and logistics of installing the windows. He was always timely and maintained strong communication throughout the entire process.
Ernie guided us every step of the way, even after the installation was complete. On installation day, he visited to ensure everything went smoothly and checked in on us, demonstrating his dedication to excellent customer service. He was flexible and helped us explore various financing options for the windows, making the process much easier for us. Ernie was always courteous and professional, and we believe all Pella consultants should follow his example. He's clearly the best at his trade and deserves a raise.
We also want to commend Ashton and Mekshek, the father and son duo who installed our windows. Their expertise and seamless teamwork were evident in the flawless installation. They were professional, efficient, and a pleasure to work with.
Overall, our experience with Pella Windows DFW was exceptional, thanks to Ernie, Ashton, and Mekshek. Highly recommended!
Pella windows claim to be superior
Pella windows claim to be superior, however I just purchased a home with Pella windows and doors, they have blinds between the glass and 1 window has a cracked. I contacted Pella and they forward my email to a local representative, we don’t support them windows any more we will give a quote to replace them. Who as a home owner can afford to replace top of the line windows and doors every 20 yearsThey won’t even provide literature to Support upkeep, Shame on them.
Good windows but the customer service…
Good windows but the customer service sucks
