Horrible app

There were countless bugs, and I couldn’t verify my phone number for days—the button simply didn’t work. Then, with a single click, my subscription was activated without any clear agreement or confirmation. I wasn’t even aware I had subscribed until I saw money being automatically deducted from my bank account. Overall, it was a terrible experience. The only positive thing was the helpful neighbors.

Unauthorised annual charge & No response from support

: I was charged an annual fee automatically without clear notice. I only used the service once and forgot about it. I contacted their support to request a refund and cancel the membership, but they completely ignored my emails. Very poor customer service and lacks transparency. I am still waiting for my refund.

Thank you for your message. I’m sorry to hear that this has been your experience.

In our system, we only see one email from you sent on March 3rd (yesterday). My colleague responded to that message within 24 hours and offered you a full refund for the membership fee.

We also sent a renewal reminder two weeks before the membership was renewed, which included the option to cancel the renewal if you did not wish to continue the membership.

It’s possible that earlier emails may have been sent to a different email address or to a no-reply address, as we do not see any messages from you prior to March 3rd in our support inbox.

If you have not yet received the refund confirmation, please let us know and we’ll be happy to help further.

Stolen Item Experience: I Regret Using Peerby

Peerby was a nightmare when my item got stolen. First, they ghosted my email for four days. I had to actually call them to get things moving. Then, the whole 'reimbursement' thing took almost two friggin' months after they accidentally asked me come to the police office to make report, it turns out item lower than 100eur doesnt need that pfft. The worst part, they left me hanging with zero support or replacement for those two months. They won't even cover the lost money or work time I missed because the drill was gone. Honestly, after that mess, I'm done. Definitely not renting anything there again.

Might be a good app if it actually…

Might be a good app if it actually worked. Paid for the subscription, but can't contact anyone because I have to verify my phone number, and the service to verify your phone number does not work.
Tried contacting their support but no response.
Wasted my money....

Easy to use, great business concept

Brilliant business idea and executed well.

Easy to use platform with great options for bulkier items you need, like a speaker or power tools, but don’t need to own. I personally rented a speaker and turntable for an event. Communication, payment, and logistics were crystal clear

The support is wonderful and look forward to using the app more as we settle into our neighborhood.

I have lent multiple times on this platform and wanted to borrow something for the first time today. I was asked to purchase a membership plan to even contact neighbors. Felt cheated, and immediately deleted my profile

I’m really sorry to hear you feel this way. It looks like the rental didn’t work out due to timing issues between you and the renter, and since we were informed four days after the rental date had passed, the payment was already processed to the renter.

In the future, you can cancel an order directly in the chat or let us know within two days after the rental date ends, and we’ll handle it for you. We also offered a full refund for your membership which you accepted, and which we hoped would help address your concerns.
