I had to knock a star off for the price increase (wishful thinking that it might go down). I have used Pedal Cover for a number of years. In that time I have only had to make one claim when all my b... See more

I wanted cover for a set period of 5 days. I entered the dates I needed cover for, paid the amount quoted and was under the impression that I was paying for that period only. It even shows on my policy as with a start-finish date. Then surprise surprise one month on Pedal cover charge me the same amount again. Auto renew on a time limited policy! Feeling ripped off. Im going to try and get my money back but not hopeful.

I’ve used PedalCover for many years now, along with their sister company, Yellow Jersey. When my house was being renovated and empty, I needed to switch to bike-only cover with Yellow Jersey (and specialist home insurance), who were equally excellent.
The customer service from both companies is second to none, by both phone and email. (Touch wood!) I’ve never had to claim with PedalCover, but I did have to claim with Yellow Jersey after an accident, and their support was fantastic... exactly what you need when someone’s injured and an expensive bike is badly damaged!
PedalCover always reply to my emails quickly and in a friendly manner. They even helped me to temporarily insure some borrowed bikes without any fuss.
Compared to standard home insurance with added bike cover, or separate home and bike policies, PedalCover is also highly competitive on price.
Based on my experiences over the last six years, I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them.

I’ve never had to make a claim but they answer queries quickly and provide clear policy docs. Premium cost seems inline or cheaper than others that offer the same coverage

I needed insurance to cover a bike rental while on holiday. A brief call to Pedal Cover where the agent was really helpful and got me set up with what I needed. Price was very competitive and reasonable. Let us get on with our holiday and biking with peace of mind. Would definitely use again.

Easy to arrange bike insurance over the phone with all my questions answered for piece of mind cover.

The experience was great. Price is reasonable and allows a fair amount of customisation (e.g. include battery theft for ebikes). Initially, I couldn't find an email confirmation of my policy, but following advice from pedal cover, I found it in the span folder.

Used their website for a quote, didn't choose to do business with them. Only to be spammed with repeated emails and unwanted calls.
Companies who do this do not deserve my business.

Yeah very easy to organise single trip travel insurance for my Mallorca cycling trip! Very friendly and helpful over the phone which I prefer to do it this way. Got all my emails through with the relevant attached pdf documents. Yeah good service! 😀

Very responsive just inflexible. You voided the cover because I was already abroad but hadn’t started the cycle

Never had to claim thankfully. The coverage beats others and the customer service folks are helpful and there is no hard sell

The increase in premiums in view of the fact that we have no claims is hard to accept

brilliant communication, fair price, quick and easy to sort out. The team have been so helpful and friendly

Really impressed with the fact that I got a follow up phone call which didn’t pressurise me at all into buying a policy after a quotation. This gives me the confidence that if I ever need to make a claim it’ll be via good communication.

Accurate quote and very competitive prices! Over £200 cheaper than my previous insurance provider for 2 ebikes. Add ons were easily applied and website easy navigate with online form easy to complete. Logged in very quickly and setup account with ease. Got initial quotes through bikeradar, so recommend!!

Most insurance companies seem to regard cycles as an irritation. Pedal Cover does the opposite. How refreshing. Navigating Pedal Cover website is as pleasurable as a Sunday morning spin.
