Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Considering 241 reviews, most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Customers frequently complained about extremely poor support, mentioning severe language barriers, unhelpful template responses, and exceptionally rude behavior from staff members during calls. People also struggled heavily with the outdated website design, buggy testing software, and overly strict monitoring rules that frequently caused sudden exam terminations. Some people were satisfied with the professional, caring staff and found the testing process to be smooth and straightforward at certain physical locations. Consumers also noted that the service functioned adequately as long as technical glitches did not interfere with their scheduled appointments.

Proctor are terrible and wield power worse than authoritarian

After being interrupted during a test for what turned out to be a non-issue, I was robbed of 15 minutes from the PMP exam. I pressed the Proctor as to why this was OK and allowable by the Proctor checking me, but not OK when I was focused and momentum was good. I demanded that they give me a retest at no charge and get their sh*t aligned on what is permittable and what's not. I escalated the issue but still do not have records or the history sent to me as requested. I think a class action law suit may be forthcoming with this organization. If anything, PMI will be hearing from me several times to demand corrective and preventative actions be implemented. In reality, they should just stop offering this as an at home option. I think organizations and Institutes need to be held accountable if they will nit hold their testing services accountable for clear Proctor driven problems.

Absolutely disgraceful experience with Pearson VUE.

My PMP exam was revoked before I had even started the test. I briefly stood up to use the restroom before the exam began, at a time when there was no clear warning that doing so would lead to revocation. When I returned, the proctor began asking questions in an aggressive and rude manner, and before I was even allowed to properly respond, my session was terminated.

What makes this even worse is the complete failure of customer support afterward. Pearson VUE sends one-sided automated responses, does not allow a proper reply, and offers a chat service that is practically useless when a candidate is facing a serious issue. After weeks of preparation, stress, and money invested in this certification, I was denied the opportunity to even begin the exam and then left without any fair resolution.

This is not just bad service. It is a shocking example of disrespect, poor judgment, and lack of accountability toward candidates. I sincerely hope PMI reviews this incident seriously and reconsiders maintaining any relationship with a provider that treats certification candidates this way.

No professional who has invested time, money, and effort into an important exam should be subjected to this level of incompetence and disregard.

While taking a exam at home using…

While taking a exam at home using pearsonvue, the Proctor terminated my test because of not looking directly into the camera. Might I say my room and electronics were verified and clean and clear. Whether I look left, right, up, or down the test question read right to left and down for answers. I feel the Proctor was also adding rules instead of following the rules. Forty question into my test out 70 I was terminated for nonsense!!!

Proctor approved headphones then different proctor revoked my exam — misconduct label without reviewing chat logs

PROCTOR APPROVED MY HEADPHONES THEN DIFFERENT PROCTOR REVOKED MY EXAM

I am a Cisco TAC Engineer. On March 29, 2026, I was taking my
Cisco 300-415 exam online through OnVUE. After the exam started,
there was loud construction noise from my neighbors. I messaged
the proctor through the session chat and asked if I could use
headphones. The proctor APPROVED my request.

A DIFFERENT proctor then revoked my exam on the FIRST question,
saying headphones were not allowed — even though the first
proctor approved them in the chat.

Pearson VUE then:
- Labeled it "Candidate error or misconduct"
- Gave me a "Fail" (I only answered 1 question — 0% in 5/6 sections)
- Closed my case TWICE without reviewing the session chat logs
- Refused to look at their own evidence

I contacted them 8 times through chat, sent multiple emails,
and escalated to Cisco directly. ALL I asked was for them to
review the session chat logs where the proctor approved my
headphones. They refused.

I had passed CCNP ENCOR the day before. Now I have a "misconduct"
label for following their own proctor's instructions. This has
affected my health and career.

Case #36568492. Avoid OnVUE online proctoring if possible —
go to a test center instead.

I am writing to express my deep…URGENT: VISA DEADLINE - INVALID VOUCHER - REG ID 530616745

I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction with Pearson VUE’s support regarding my PTE Academic exam scheduling. Due to medical issues, which were duly proven by a medical certificate submitted on March 24th, 2026, the institution accepted my request and provided a voucher code for rescheduling. However, the code provided is returning an error and appears as invalid in the online booking system.
I have been in daily contact with support via phone, email, and forms since last Friday, yet I only receive generic two-business-day deadlines that expire without any resolution. I must emphasize that my situation is extremely urgent, as I have strict deadlines for visa documentation and international course enrollment. I need an immediate solution, as I must schedule the exam this week to avoid missing my international deadlines.

This technical failure with the voucher, combined with the support delay, is jeopardizing my entire international plan and the financial investments I have made. Therefore, I demand that Pearson provides a new valid voucher immediately or issues a full refund of the amount paid. My priority is a functional solution to ensure I do not miss my immigration and academic deadlines.

I had a very frustrating experience…

I had a very frustrating experience with Pearson VUE’s online proctoring service. I was denied the ability to take my exam because I was using a TV as my only display, even though there were no other monitors or electronics around. I reviewed the technical requirements multiple times beforehand and did not see any clear rule stating that a TV cannot be used as a single monitor.

Because of that, I paid for an online proctored exam, set aside my time, prepared my space, and was still rejected over a rule that was either unclear or not properly disclosed. If this setup is not allowed, that needs to be stated plainly before people spend money and time scheduling an exam.

What made the experience worse was the proctor’s behavior. When I asked what specific rule prohibited my setup, I got no real answer. The proctor then disconnected without explaining anything or even ending the conversation professionally.

Overall, the experience felt disorganized, poorly communicated, and disrespectful of my time. I would strongly caution others to verify every detail of their setup in advance, because the written requirements did not match how they were enforced in my case.

Useless

Test centres are fine and well run, the rest of the service is appalling, however they have a monopoly and the test I sat was mandatory, so I suspect that they don't care. This is definitely the impression they give. Failed to post my test results, so I rang them using the number on their website. After five minutes of automated waffle I was redirected to a phone number that hasn't been in use for almost four years.

terrible scam-like company

I paid some legit looking company online called 'Construction Certification.co.uk to book me a CITB test- the government authorised accreditation to work in the building industry. I wanted the next day as advertised and i selected the date and time accordingly. I then had an email several hours later from Pearson (which is a US based co with a terrible repuation) saying i'd been booked on a course at a different time next week, but the scam is that there is no way of contacting them. So you lose your money. You cant just hand out random dates and times when the website suggests you are choosing your date and time and then make it impossible to actually change it. This is in effect a scam and the CITB should be shutting it down.

AVOID TAKING EXAMS ONLINE

AVOID TAKING EXAMS ONLINE, DO IT IN TEST CENTRE.
Awful company, unable to take the exam I had booked as their shoddy software believes I'm using a VM. Taken multiple exams over 4 years without an issue, from home, and now their latest updates thinks that suddenly two devices are using VMs (one a brand new laptop taken out of the box).
Then, because of their softwares incompetence, they refuse to refund the exam because of my "technical requirements". It's not people being hyperbolic, the company is trash, avoid at all costs.

$425 Proctored exam with NO Proctor availabile.

I took the PMP exam Proctored online with Pearson VUE on March 13, 2026. 2/3 of the way through the exam, it froze. I clicked the button for the Proctor, got a message that the Proctor was alerted but a Proctor never responded. After a half hour of being recorded, afraid to do anything that would disqualify my test, I picked up my cell phone, found their website and chat and let them know I had been waiting for a half hour for a Proctor.

Abysmal

Title: No flexibility even with proof

Missed my CITB test by 7 minutes because the bus I was on had a puncture and was taken out of service. TfL confirmed the incident in writing.

Despite providing proof that the delay was completely outside my control, CITB refused to help or reschedule the test.

Very poor customer support and no flexibility at all.

Their customer service is the worst

Their customer service is the worst.
Due to their incompetence, language gap & delayed answers, I had to miss an exam as they were too lazy to find a test center.
I do not recommend. If you can, find another way.

What the hell is this Pearson VUE…

What the hell is this Pearson VUE system? Completely unacceptable experience.
The software never allowed me to launch my exam. It kept asking me to close a process called “ServiceHost”, even though it was already closed multiple times.

I tried everything repeatedly, but the exam window never opened. Because of this technical failure from Pearson VUE, I completely lost my exam attempt — and today was the last date.

This is extremely frustrating after preparing for the certification. A testing platform should be reliable, especially when candidates are paying and preparing for months. Very disappointing experience.

Unreasonably bad service

I had to write an exam online and from the start the interpretation of policies were questioned. Vikash couldn't speak English clearly, nor properly. His definition of "out of arms reach" means not in the room. Apparently my arms can grab items over 4 meters away without moving.

Their policies as stated contradicts what their employees (for their sake I hope they are contractors instead) enforce. They fail to provide even the first criteria of English speaking personnel in an English exam!

After this incident I logged a complaint which was swiftly ignored and waved from the hand. This isn't the type of company you want to deal with.

Avoid them as far as possible, and if you really can't, establish your own company to do their work. It will be easier and less frustrating than dealing with them!

Avoid them as if the plague!
