Pearson Vue seems to be a monopoly…

Pearson Vue seems to be a monopoly which is why they can get away with such terrible customer service.

Edit: I just want to say most of the customer's issues regarding payment could be solved if they used a better payment processor, and allowing different payment methods such as using Google Pay, Paypal, Apple pay etc as their payment processor doesn't accept some cards for some weird reason.

Pearson Vue are Unhelpfull and Awfull customer Service

My company paid for my Cisco Training, went to buy voucher for exam from Pearson Vue and customer service was really unhelpful company, to the point of being awful have no idea why and international company such as cisco use such an unhelpful. All my company asked for was an invoice or purchase order in their name and you'd think someone from customer or sale would accommodate but No push back after push back. AWFULL experience.

was scheduled for an online exam, before exam started and i was being recorded, power went out. Proctor said bc i had not started the test i could reschedule. 3 hours later power back on and cant reschedule or get money back. Customer service says my fault i didnt reschedule and cant even buy a new voucher for 5 days since i "took" the test. COMPLETLY false and at odds with what the proctor said

Extremely disappointing customer…

Extremely disappointing customer service experience.

Despite investing thousands of dollars in Pearson certification vouchers, I found myself caught between Mindhub, APAC Support, EXOSH, and other case-handling teams, with no clear ownership of the issue.

Emails went unanswered, cases were repeatedly forwarded between departments, and obtaining a meaningful response required continuous follow-ups.

For a global organization like Pearson, customers deserve accountability, transparency, and timely communication—not a cycle of redirects and delays.

I hope Pearson seriously reviews the performance of its support and escalation teams.

Booked for my wife to test A2 english…

Booked for my wife to test A2 english exam spent 2 and a half hours driving there, got there half an hour before the test couldn't get anyone to open the front door kept pressing the bell about 10 minutes later a guy from a different office let us in.
Had to que to get in line for the test and then turned away because the 3rd party I booked though didn't include my wife's middle name.
Now we had my wife's passport, contract of her employment, letter from her doctor, letters from her bank, Driving licence, and NHS number, NI number share codes, Residence Card. all proving who she was.
But we were told they can not do anything and we have lost the money £160.00 we paid for the exam and will have to rebook. and pay again.
Then we get a email to say we failed to turn up and forfeit the money we paid.
I find the whole process dreadful and when I got in touch with Person the very next day its a call centre which I believe is in India and I had trouble to understand the guy on the phone.
He just told me we were late and we had not provided the correct information all of which is incorrect.
So if you are wanting there services think again and use a different company.
I now see why there reviews are so low.

Insensitive and Unprofessional Treatment During a Family Emergency

I needed to reschedule my exam due to a death in my family. When I contacted customer service, I was told that because my request was made just a few hours outside of the 48-hour cancellation window, I would need to provide a death certificate in order to have the rescheduling fee waived.

I found this request extremely insensitive and unprofessional. While I understand that policies exist, requiring grieving family members to submit a death certificate to avoid a fee shows a lack of compassion and empathy during an already difficult time.

This is an exam—not brain surgery. Life happens, and family emergencies, especially the death of a loved one, should be handled with more understanding. I was disappointed by the response I received and expected a much more reasonable and humane approach from your organization.

I hope management reviews this policy and considers how these situations are handled in the future. No one dealing with the loss of a family member should be made to feel as though they need to prove their grief to receive basic consideration.

Horrible experience for AZ-700.

Horrible experience for AZ-700.
The OnVUE app is blocking my PC, taking a LOT of time to check everything and then crashes.

During the exam, a lot of latency.

In the end my exam was canceled due to technical reasons. Bullshit app for 2026

The Pearson OnVUE software is awful

The Pearson OnVUE software is absolutely awful. This is unacceptable for test proctoring of IT certificates. The software for the system test simply will not start most of the time and regularly crashes when trying to complete the tests.

I hope it is possible to give -100000…

I hope it is possible to give -100000 stars to this organization. I was in exam, spent 1.5 hours and then suddenly they software stopped working. Proctor suggested to terminate the exam, and call the customer care.

I called them, they cret were not able to find the case created by proctor. They created new one and auto closed it. Called again, spent more than 1 hour with them, every few mins agent kept telling me wait for supervisor and then didn't even resolve it.

I hope I would have sue them for waste of time.

Couldn't take the PMP test

Couldn't take the PMP test due to Pearson's OnVue tech issues, even after passing the tech and compliance verifications... Customer Service (which is always in India, even if you select the corresponding number to your country) couldn't give me a reason and wouldn't let me re-attempt the exam. Now they need to review my case, and I sure hope it translates into a free reschedule and not consume one of my three attempts. I question why PMI is still working with this terrible vendor.

Poor, dated, buggy, generic reply, no outcome.

Exam started confusingly asking me for a phone number so I could picture my testing area. They also stated that the examiner may use the number to contact me which was confusing as the test rules said no phone. Examiner not happy with phone on table so had to move. It was like a military inspection not very good to start exam.

Start of the exam was poor, software looks from the 90s, exam wasting alot of space on blank canvas while making the questions hard to see.

At the second question a white box appeared in the middle of the page making it impossible to see the questions. Used that chat feature to get support which was laking and after 15 mins of a timed exam I was getting very frustrated.

In the end I had to photo my issue which caused me to get kicked from the exam.

After sending a few complaints communications I got told that because I used my phone and this voided my exam with no refund possible or apology for the experiance.

Useless

Useless. Tried to ask a question about a missing certificate and all I got was a generic reply telling me it wasn’t their fault! They are utterly clueless. They delay issuing important certificates, booking exams, etc. I remember when they actually did their job now they are lazy, rude and never admit to being wrong.

Absolute rubbish

Absolute rubbish, booked my exam, did all the testing of the system which all worked then had a 'streaming error' when launching exam. No one available to speak to, no proctor to help (although with limited English they are not much help anyway). Had to reschedule. There is a test centre by me however it doesn't seem to offer all exams which is a bit strange. Does this company not realise the stress of taking these exams anyway only to be caught up with stupid technical issues and rude proctors.

Unfair exam termination due to inconsistent proctoring procedures

I had a highly frustrating experience during my recent online proctored exam. For all my previous online exams with Pearson Vue, proctors always called me beforehand to verify the room before releasing the test. Expecting the same protocol, I had my phone nearby waiting for the call. Instead, the exam was released instantly without warning. To ensure full compliance with the rules, I immediately stood up for a few seconds to place my phone far away from my desk before clicking start for the exam to start. The proctor messaged me immediately, stating they saw me stand up. Even though I explained this to the proctor via chat, and they acknowledged it with an "OK," my exam was abruptly terminated just after I answered the first question. I have opened a support case, but the lack of warning and inconsistent proctoring behaviour has caused immense stress, especially with an upcoming certification expiration deadline. The system needs more consistency, and proctors should give clear warnings before taking such drastic measures. I hope customer service resolves this quickly.

Would give zero stars if I could

Would give zero stars if I could. Just spent over an hour trying to resolve technical issues to get into my examination and have now missed it with no technical help or support available at all and now they are also going to fine my company for missing it. I cannot believe cloud and software organisations that take themselves seriously would ever think of using this archaic, ropey platform. 0 stars !!!

International Payments

It's 2026 and they still will not accept international payment directly when booking. Going elsewhere to buy an exam voucher causes you to lose any discount voucher you already have (I have a 50% discount voucher from AWS). I am not surprised to find a ton of 1-star reviews here. Why is AWS using Pearson VUE as a partner??
