I have used Phoenix Computers before for updating a batch of iMac's, all were done fast and results were outstanding. This time I left them with an amateur radio rig modification, to add an IF tap connection.
The work requires an extremely steady hand and again the work was finished quickly and expertly. I would trust them with any electronic repairs.
100% recommend.
Shaun provide a super fast and honest service, competitively priced.
Will definitely use again.
Damaged the screen of my MacBook Pro while on holiday early August 2024. Phoned a few local shops - but they refused to work on Mac products and the Apple store was too far away. Liam @ Phoenix was very helpful in helping me order replacement part. Fitted in hours and charged a good value price. Thank you.
DON'T GET YOUR COMPUTER FIXED HERE!
I took my computer to have a cosmetic repair - Quoted a ballpark price beforehand which was completely ignored on the day.
When I picked up the computer the repair looked like a complete amateur had performed it. And if it hadn't been for me actually paying, this would have been the case.
I went back on his invite to leave it with him for another hour only for him to leave it and refuse to do any more work on it blaming everything but his own amateurish attempt for the poor repair. I have since found that another component which would have been in the way has been broken during this repair. I lost all faith at any customer service of ANY kind, deciding to take it to a professional.
My elderly Lenovo laptop had become very slow. Phoenix recommended replacing the mechanical hard disk with a solid state equivalent and it has been transformed into a fast, responsive machine. All of my files have been safely transferred. Work completed in under 24 hours. Very pleased with the result and speed of service.
Last November I asked Phoenix to move all my files from one laptop to a new one. They suggested I get ESET security, and I agreed, not realising that I already had an ESET licence for 2 laptops. Recently that licence came up for renewal; instead of paying £60 for another licence, I was told by ESET UK that I could add another laptop to the new licence. However, when I gave them the licence number, they said Phoenix had obtained it from ESET Algeria, so the UK office couldn't help. When I asked Phoenix to please either arrange for another device to be added to the licence, (for which I would pay the extra), or else to please cancel the Algeria licence, they declined to help. It seemed really unhelpful to customers, and bizarre that they chose ESET Algeria.
terrible attitude toward customers and overcharge very significantly. I would go anywhere but here. They tried to charge me 9.99 for a 1meter USB cable which I later got the identical one in Wilko for 99p!!
