I’ve had an incredibly frustrating…

I’ve had an incredibly frustrating experience with Affirm/PayBright, to the point where I feel exhausted by the endless obstacles to resolve my account issues. Despite multiple attempts to pay off my balance, my efforts have been met with unproductive customer support and technical issues that leave me stuck in endless loops.

I’ve called their support team from abroad, incurring extra charges just to try to settle my balance. After providing all my credit card details, I expected this would finally close my account. Unfortunately, it did nothing to help.

Here are some of the issues I encountered:

Phone Number Update: I had to go through a lengthy process just to change my phone number, including email requests and a call from my new number. Eventually, they confirmed the update, but when I logged in, I was stuck in a frustrating loop asking for repeated ID uploads and timing out every time.

Verification Problems: While traveling in Europe, I disabled airplane mode to receive a verification message that never arrived. Then I was asked to enter my SIN, only to be informed that a confirmation email would be sent to an unknown email address.

This entire process has been costly, frustrating, and time-consuming. I am still unable to access my account or close it, despite providing all my card information in a 24-minute call on October 30th to settle my debt. Unfortunately, this company does not seem to have an effective solution, and repeated requests have yielded no progress.

I strongly advise potential customers to consider these challenges before engaging with Affirm/PayBright. Customer support has been unable to resolve my issues, and the process has been more trouble than it’s worth. Proceed with caution.

Dishonest Company Practices

2 years AFTER completely repaying my Paybright loan, they just randomly started taking money from my account again. Customer Service is useless, refusing to admit their "mistake" even after receiving confirmation from my bank. I have attempted to escalate the issue but they just stop responding.
I really thought it was a good idea at the time. But if their business model is to start stealing money from you years later in the hopes that you don't notice then sorry, this is nothing short of a scam. Beware!

Worst company ever

Worst company ever. With your credit card on file they take the money they want without advising then we've to fight with them as nobody answer or returning calls, emails or whatever. I've to suit them in court to recover my money the theft.

Shady Business Practice

When I tried to update my card information the website wouldn’t let me, or let me update my address. I tried calling it in to finish paying my bill, was kept on hold for over 30minutes before I could talk to customer service. The guy proceeded to say all my card detail OUT LOUD, with his coworkers around him, and continued even after I told him to not do that. He said he updated all my information. Next month, I get a notice that payment failed. Went back to the website and nothing was changed, and it still wouldn’t accept any update. Emailed them, they told me they were having problems on their end, and later told me my MC wasn’t accepted…but they advertise accepting MC? And there’s nothing wrong with my card. Continuously tried to contact them, hung up after being on wait for 25-30min each time. I finally get an email suggesting to connect them to my debit banking, meaning if they overcharge or mess up on their end, good luck getting ahold of customer service to get your money back. I can only imagine the security risk going forward, and reading other online reviews it's disappointing to see PayBright not wanting to improve themselves.
Shady business practice vibes for a company that can’t accept MC when they advertise to accept it, can’t service calls in a timely manner, or fix their platform for something simple like updating an address- and after 5 months it’s still not fixed! Never using PayBright again, and wouldn’t recommend this thing to anyone or any business.

Customer service is trash

Have been trying for over a year to contact customer service to have my phone number changed so I can log into my account. They always tell me they need to move my case higher up, then I get ghosted and receive no communication ever again. I have called, emailed, verified my identity. I have been getting double charged every month, my loan has been paid off for a while now but they continue to remove money from my account. Customer service is non existant.

I purchased a mattress using PayBright…

I purchased a mattress using PayBright from Sleep Country Canada. I then returned the mattress to Sleep Country within the applicable return period. However, PayBright refuses to remove the payment from their books and continues to advise that I owe them monthly payments for the full balance of the mattress that was returned. I have had dozens of email exchanges with their customer service and they refuse to do anything about it. As a result, I would advise against using this service if there is a possibility that you might return the item(s).

I'm paying off my laptop monthly and the first couple of months, there was no issue.

RANDOMLY, they started sending me messages that the payement didn't go through. I called to see what happened, they told me I need to maybe change my card??

SO I DID. They kept telling me it doesn't work.

Today, it's been over 5 months that I did not pay my monthly payement and it's been 5 months they keep on CALLING ME every now and then for THE PAYEMENT THEY WON'T TAKE... which is starting to annoye me SO MUCH.

+, ALL OF THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE PEOPLE DO NOT KNOW HOW TO WORK AND DO NOT KNOW HOW TO HELP AND CHANGE INFORMATIONS.

SOOOO DISSAPOINTED!

PayBright is no longer great

PayBright started out great, but is no longer an easy to use solution.

I originally had my card saved on the PayBright app and made payments no problem. Their credit card system went down suddenly and I was no longer able to make payments. I only found out about this after having to wait an hour on the phone to try to talk to them.

Not only were they not able to offer me a solution to make my payments using a credit card, they continued sending me payment alerts and missed payment warnings. So their problem was effectively causing me to miss payments — something I never had any problems with any vendor!

I would not recommend their services to anyone.

Terrible customer service

Terrible customer service. I have called 5 times and keep getting the same answer, " I am not properly trained and I will escalte your concern" to date I have not received an email or response,this is a complete joke. The customer representatives are not properly trained, they all read from the same script and do not know how to assist or help a customer. I would never recommend their services to anyone.

HORRIBLE service

Horrible horrible horrible customer service. They took extra money from my account and won’t give me a refund. I have called them 4 times (1x per week) and they keep telling me that the refund will be issued in the following days but it hasn’t happened after more than a month of waiting. The customer representatives are also lying. After each call, they tell me they will send a follow up email and I have yet to receive them. One of the people I talked with even told me that my refund had been issued at a date prior to their error?!! It appears this employee was making up things as when I told her it was not logical she changed the information she gave me. Stay away from paybright. There are other platforms who do the same thing with much better service.

Paybright has charged me $45 every month - I've NO idea what this is for and CANNOT get in touch with the company. I had to change my credit card to stop payments. No doubt a scam. Don't go with Paybright.

This company doesn't even deserve a one…

This company doesn't even deserve a one star. Worst company I have dealt with. They cannot resolve your issues, the agent's like to give you a runaround. They never have a team lead or supervisor available. I have put in a request to speak with a supervisor THREE times an nobody bothers to contact. And when I asked the representative what happens if I don't get a call from the supervisor, they informed "Well you call back and request again."

I have been waiting for a refund for a product that I placed an order for in July and was then cancelled by the merchandiser itself due to being out of stock. I paid for the full loan as advised by their customer representative.

I called for my refund in August and was told the merchandizer has a 89 day hold policy and I would need to provide supporting documents that I never got my product. So I called the merchandiser, obtained the invoices of the cancelled order, emailed them twice and was informed they will investigate and I will be refunded after the hold back days have been completed.

I contacted them after 89 days only to find out that they need a confirmation from the merchandiser again as they never received any. So I called the Merchandiser and they informed the refund has already been sent to PayBright and it is up to them to release the funds.

After calling them again, another agent informed they DO NOT SEE ANYTHING ON MY FILE AND HAVE TO INVESTIAGET AND START THE PROCESS AND WILL ESCALDE THIS MATTER TO THE RIGHT DEPARTEMENT.

THIS COMPANY IS SCUM! They advise you to pay the full loan and whatever product is cancelled they will refund you after 89 days.

Their a scam guys, It is now November and nobody gives me a straight answer to when I can get my refund.

STAY AWAY FROM THEM.

Paybright charged me extra payment

Paybright overcharged me an extra payment for a Dyson vacuum purchase. Every time I called them it was like news for them and all they would say they would escalate to investigate even though they saw the account was overcharged. And every time they said I'd receive the follow-up email and a phone call.
None of this ever happened. I called them 3 times about it and after almost a month of waiting for the refund, I contacted my credit card company to open a dispute with Paybright.
I will not use Paybright anymore. They're a dishonest company.

Think twice before using Paybright.

they are very bad with refunds and I dont know they return our money or not because I m waiting for months

If I can choose giving them not even a single star I would have done it. They are so bad with processing refund. Their processing time for refund is 28 days but its been almost a 2 months and still no hear back from them. I have called them twice on helpline number but they always tell me the issue is escalated and will be solved in 5 business day but it got never fixed and they never contacted me. they deducting the payments for the products which is returned. the merchant has issued refund in November 2022 and they still deducting payments till now which august. Try to buy through other means because it feels like now I am stucked in a big trench
