Disgusted

Wanted to buy from f/bk ad and clicked on to check out point. Filled in all the details etc asked if by debit/cr card...said yes then no option but to go via paypal. Thought ok if I have to, get to paying and the price increased. Supposedly sales tax added. This is a rip off and now worried if this is all legit. Beware when getting to checkout and it states paypal....don't.

I was ordering a pair of trainers which…

I was ordering a pair of trainers which I needed to arrive by 28th. Had I of ordered tonight they would have. I tried to use pay pals pay in 3 service and it charged me 30 pounds then crashed meaning that JD Sports did not get my order and PP have not authorised me to have my money back.

I have no more money to make this order and pay pal have simply taken the money. This has caused me great difficulties as these were a gift and now I’m stuck.

Pay pal sees to support dodgy sellers these days

Pay pal has really become so disappointing. I use it as it use to guarantee to manage dodgy sellers. Well they don’t do that anymore and seem to support dodgy sellers who secretly sign you up to a subscription then just take your money. I’m exiting from PayPal and will use Apple Pay in the future.

No my parcel hasn't been delivered.

I ordered an item on line paying with PayPal as I usually do if it's possible because I've always felt more secure.
The item didn't arrive, I contacted seller via PayPal link because they said it was delivered on 27th Nov. to inform them I hadn't got it.
Tracking had been useless and it was only by chance I found they said it had been delivered.
After various emails and repeated efforts to sort out it out Paypal said my claim was refused because the sender said it had been delivered.
I have no proof of delivery or name of delivery company so PayPal are it appears just taking the sender's word.
On line there are various reviews of the sender that I since found saying it's a scam company and people like me are upset that PayPal are endorsing a company that has been unreliable.
I've finished with PayPal and will be even more careful when ordering on line.
Getting in touch with PayPal is a ticking boxes nightmare for an older person if your problem doesn't fit their criteria .
Artificial intelligence is well on the way to ruling the world I fear for the future, not mine, but the younger element.

Why the bad reviews, these guys do a great job.

I’m so grateful to Pay Pal. Use them for everything I buy and if I ever have a problem I get it sorted straight away. Myer lost five of my orders amounting to nearly $2000 , I put in my claim with the resolutions team and a week later have my money back,.I’ve never been refused a refund not that I’ve asked for many over the years , but being disabled and having to shop online , I feel someone has my back when it comes to my money .I think everyone should use them, they are consise in their wording and the site is easy to navigate.

I am so disappointed

I am so disappointed! I ordered nesting coffee tables from Dabenhams, wood-imitating color! The tables I received were white imitating marble! A long 3-week communication began in which I had to explain and send evidence of their mistake each time and finally they agreed to refund my money if I sent the wrong tables back and I had to pay for the return shipping😡I had the feeling that I was communicating with a robot, not a human! They did not protect my rights in any way! I would not trust them again!

Pay Pal Don't Care about customers

Pay Pal refused to settle my dispute in my favour with the dodgy chinese company who would not give me money back even though I cancelled the order within minutes of ordering it. I then sent the order back as agreed with Pay Pal and that cost me another £27. Pay Pal still refused to give me money back even though I sent them receipts of my tracking details. I cannot believe that Pay Pal do not help their own customers but are happy to help dodgy companies steal money from their customers. I AM DISGUSTED WITH THEM AND WON'T USE THEM AGAIN.

Pay Pal - You are not covered. Beware!

Dispute raised after Booking.com mis sold me a room at Brathay Hall. I was not located in the Hall which I bought, I was instead placed in a prefabricated virtual scouts hut in an isolated wooded area, which was dirty.
Pay Pal closed the case and I lost my money. I sent an extensive report and pictures, it made no difference.
Pay Pal don’t cover ‘expectations’ . Booking.com provided me with a room. The case was closed as it was perceived they had fulfilled their obligation. Provided me with a room. The fact that it was not the room I bought was not covered and was deemed irrelevant.
The case was closed after two days.
PLEASE BE AWARE YOU ARE NOT COVERED BY PAY PAL FOR YOUR ROOM ON HOLIDAY!! You can learn from my heartbreaking experience.

Brilliant service …

I ordered clothes through Facebook rather than the company website- big mistake as it turned out to be a Chinese company rather than Seasalt which it had purported to be. After emails requesting a refund and promises that the clothes were on the way I was resigned to having lost my money.
However I contacted PayPal to inform them this was a scam and within a couple of days the money was refunded to my account. I had not expected this as it was my fault but was obviously delighted and would recommend people use it if it is on offer.

I am writing to formally raise concerns regarding PayPal’s handling of payments, transparency, and overall reliability as a financial service provider. I believe these issues warrant urgent attention

Deducted Fees Without Paying Service Providers – Payments processed through PayPal included deductions for fees; however, service providers were not compensated as expected.

Account Restrictions Without Explanation – My account has been flagged without clear justification, preventing me from accessing funds or resolving disputes fairly.

Opaque Fee Structure & Unexpected Charges – Certain transactions included hidden fees or unexpected deductions, with no prior disclosure before processing.

Poor Customer Support & Delays – Repeated attempts to contact PayPal have resulted in unhelpful responses, excessive delays, and lack of resolution.

Dispute System Bias & Unjust Fund Holds – Disputes appear to be handled with bias, making fund recovery difficult even with valid proof.

Requested Resolution:
Immediate review of my account and withheld funds to ensure fair processing.

Clear disclosure of fees and financial policies to prevent deceptive practices.

Better customer support and timely response to disputes and concerns.

Transparency in dispute resolution to prevent unfair bias in cases.

I request a formal investigation into these concerns and an explanation regarding PayPal’s financial practices. If no resolution is offered, I will escalate this complaint to relevant regulatory authorities for further intervention.

Please respond at your earliest convenience with clarification and corrective action. I expect a resolution within a reasonable timeframe.

Pay Pal does not protect you!

Don't buy anything thinking Pay Pal has your back against a fraudulent seller. They will side with them every single time. I don't even know if they have real people investigating the claim.

Does not honor requests for refunds, even for possible fraud, but money never picked up.

I sent $30 to an email. Afterward, I tested it, and the email does not exist. A week later the party sent me a different email. I sent $30 to that email. I have tested it and it did not bounce, but was not answered. I decided to get refunds for both issues.

I challenged the payments. They told me to change passwords. I did. Then they said I had approved it and the case was closed.

**PAY PAL NEVER REPLY TO REVIEWS**
Like many i have used Pay Pal for many years never had a problem until now . I had a problem with a company unknown to me they were in China . However communication was good until the product finally arrived .I contacted Pay Pal to say item was taking ages to arrive . Anyhow i then made contact to the seller to tell them one of the items were faulty and short shipped by 5 items which clearly stated 7 . I then went back to Pay Pal and they made contact with the seller who offered a refund of half of the value . I rejected this and then i got a message from the seller saying to get a full refund i would have to sent the item back at my expense which would be more than the item cost . Then i got an email from Pay Pal saying the case was now closed as i did not escalate the case . I was under the impression if you had made contact with Pay Pal and there was not a conclusion to the case they would look at it and decide who is right or wrong . They could have sent me an email to say we have had no more contact from seller would you like us to escalate this . Then i would have , feel very cheated by this . The seller is ZERO-MIRACLE NETWORK LIMITED and there google reviews are really bad shame i never checked them out before hand . But using Pal Pay i thought i was protected .

They jumped ship from dependable to questionable

I have been Pay Pal customer since 2016. I have always sung their praise. I would not buy from any site that didn't offer Pay Pal as away to make payment. But that all changed. I placed a dispute against Wellamoon. They Charged my card twice once for 14.90 which is what I ordered then they Charged another 75.80 for things I didn't order or give them permission to charge my cards for. I sent PayPal multiple emails between me and Wellamoon catching them and proving that they lied repeatly. Pay Pal even sent me an email saying that they agreed with me but they still ruled in favor of a company that has done this same thing to hundreds of people. I also sent them several reviews from other people stating the same thing. But still Pay Pal chose to stand by a company that has a proven history of fraud and theft instead of their customers. So I'm sure being only one customer of Pay Pal me discontinuing using their services is no big deal but maybe I won't be the only one in the end

Pay Pal is not for the consumer

I am closing out my account with PayPal due to the fact that lately they have not honored their insured customer protection. In the past, if I ever needed assistance in filing a claim, PayPal was always there to help me. The last few times that I’ve needed to get a refund back from a company that did not want to issue me a refund, PayPal would close out my case and side with the seller. I will never use PayPal ever again because it seems like They’re always for the seller now instead of the consumer.
