Patreon will steal your money. The creator and patreon does not take any responsibility what so ever. They stole a lot of money from me. It's fraud they refused to refund me when creators are lying about what they offer. They aren't responsible and patreon isn't responsible then who is?

One of the creators (Olivia Rose James) scammed me.

For costumers who paid monthly, she said she would send out an annual care package. I asked about it and she said I hadn´t paid for the months that I had, then she ignored me when I tried to prove that I had.

I contacted Patreons costumer service who then said they wouldn´t communicate with me about this issue and started ignoring me as well.

I was signing up for a podcast on The Emerald early last year to add to my professional development and somehow found I was paying for the Patreon platform. I quickly cancelled my subscription, but I still find that I am being charged $11.33 a month. I have contacted Patreon repeatedly to no avail.To date I have not used or accessed Patreon however they keep charging me.

I wasn’t even trying to cancel my membership. I was being charged with no access to the creator’s content. I provided them with email addresses, vendor charge transaction numbers, screenshots of the charges and still, “I’m so sorry but I can’t find that information and I can cancel your membership. But have a nice day.”

They are the absolute worst.

I've read what other reviewers have said. In my case, I just created an account as member -or "fan" as how they call it- (not creator) and received a mail stating my account was suspended and pending deletion before even receiving the mail verification mail... Contacting support only to get requested my credit card info, then they silently stop contact never to reply to my messages.
If this is how my relationship with this business is going to start, I don't want to go further, so I went to other ways to support the creators I follow.
Browsing internet, seems it's a recurring problem.

Edit: They finally reverted the account as just "fan" and allowed participation, although support kept insisting I sent them ID and stuff, I was firm I wasn't doing business.

They simply delete accounts of content providers who rely on them for their monthly income. No prior mail or any question on if the content provider is according to their terms of use. Very disappointing!

I cancelled my subscription. A week later they be took another payment. One month later another, even after telling me they had officially cancelled my subscription. Ive had no real email replies to my requests for refunds ,only the usual automated reply saying recieved your email

My account was suspended on April 30. I've had Patreon for years and when I tried to become a creator my account was removed for “suspicious activity” when I hadn't even finished setting it up. The only good thing is that I used another email and not my main account email because otherwise I would be more pissed off than I already am.

Poor customer service, they haven't even responded to my request and we're already half way through May.

My account was suspended on May 17 due to “suspicious activity.” I recently signed up and tried to be a creator while I was creating my page to sell roblox assets, I wanted to login into my account on my phone and found it got deactivated and pending removal. I haven't published my page yet and my account got deactivated like this is bullshit moderation

AWFUL customer service. some of the worst i have ever seen. I made an account and tried to support emulation station and they immediately deactivated the account. so i made another and again deactivated, when i went to their customer support they didnt respond at all. hope to god you dont have to deal with them cause its that bad.

They just block my account out of the blue without any warning, all my content, list of fans contact are gone.

Submit an appeal but it is useless, they keep saying use the form to appeal but did not response to my appeal at all.

If you're a creator, get your products/services off this site ASAP. Like others, account has been banned and nothing from Patreons customer service team.

I cannot purchase anything or work with any creators. You should not put all of your eggs in one basket. There are lots of options, you can have membership only videos on YouTube and you can still sell your videos course on YouTube with 3 different tiers. Also, you get paid from YouTube. You should really build your on website and have your own online shop. Building a online shop is easy. Weebly is easy enough to use. You can link your YouTube videos and have your customers play them on your website. Sell on other platforms as well as selling on your own online shop, you can also sell digital products on etsy.

It's frustrating as I'm not able to purchase anything on Patreon. If you're a seller on that Patreon and not selling products on other platforms, your going lose out on sales because you are tied to one place.

Just take a look at all of the 1 star reviews recently... Do you want to put your customers through that kind of service?

They just block my account without any warning. Done, all of my words for many years and fans are gone.

Shocking customer service. I had a technical issue and they took over a week to respond, and when they finally did respond they didn’t solve the problem. Other companies respond within 24hrs. Obviously Patreon don’t care about their customers. SERIOUSLY UNIMPRESSED.

My account was suspended on May 2 due to “suspicious activity.”
I submitted all the requested information immediately, and after over a week of no response, it was finally reviewed and restored. I received an email confirming that my account was “in good standing.”

However, I just received another suspension email saying that my account is again at risk of deletion. This is extremely confusing and frustrating. I’ve followed all policies, and this is the second time this has happened.

I hope this is a system error, but support must take proper action and clarify what's going on.

I get it that spam and bot users must be sorted out.
But what I dont get that thisnis the data Patreon demands for unlocking:
"reason, the account has been disabled until we can verify a few things
from you. We will need all of the following information from you in
order to further assist in reviewing your account:

Your Name
Your Location (City, State, Country)
Verify Payment Method (Last 4 digits of all credit cards used,
PayPal email address, etc)
o If you have not successfully added a payment method yet,
please provide the last 4 digits of the one you would like to add.
Name of your current internet provider/service".
Especially this part concerns me very much:

What will Patreon Inc. do once I tell them my ISP is The World, Excitel Broadband, RailTel Corporation of India,
Kyivstar, CenpacNet Incorporated, Rostelekom, T-Mobile, Telefónica S.A., Tele2, Mobile TeleSystems, MGTS,
CompuServe, Prodigy, America Online, (AOL), Hetzner, Mobile TeleSystems, NTT
China Telecom, China Unicom, Virgin Media, Sky, ChinaNet, China Tietong, or Great Wall Broadband Network?
Will they say: Ah, yo hi ISP from user Corinna Gier, real name is J. Doe, and he/she tells in his content very worrying stuff please arrest him/her because he/she does not comply with digital services act or rebels against 会信用体系 ?

It's an interesting alternative to Youtube but a Patreon tab using 1.3GB seriously? That's not fair on a computer user.

I registered on Patreon as a creator 2 years ago. I started earning money, my account started getting popular.

2 weeks ago I got an e-mail from “Robin”, trust and safety team at Patreon.

He suspended my account and he asked me to upload my ID and handwritten statement from my parents and also my parent’s ID card via their “secure upload”.

I said, I’ll not use this unsecure link to provide my ID, so he enabled Jumio verification for me. After the verification Robin asked for the handwritten note and parent’s ID, but I was supposed to upload it via the uploader.

As I was scared, I hid the ID card number and I sent it.

In the e-mail was written if I’ll not submit it until 23 April my account with the balance will be deleted.

I sent it 1 week ago, I still didn’t get response. My account will be permanently banned tomorrow and I can’t withdraw my money, so I lost my account and also my money I earned there.

Even they didn’t provide me(I asked for it) any privacy policy regarding the secure upload and the ID.

Never use Patreon. Be aware of this platform.

I tried to pay for a patreon account and my payment was declined and I then recieved an email my patreon account would be deactivated for suspicious activity? Is it suspicious to try to use this service idk. I tried a different email account and different payment method, same thing that email was suspended. I really wanted to resolve this issue to support the creator on patreon so I emailed a support request where they asked me for personal information including my internet service provider? No thank you. I feel bad to not be able to support this creator but I would never attempt to support patreon again.

It’s very poor. It has blocked me from a creator I was following for no reason. It blocked me from her website. I guess Patreon thinks they own the creators. Patreon sucks! Don’t use them!
