Very Dishonest Game:
Very Dishonest Game:
This is and internet game which contains in app sales items, however it is not necessary to purchase items, but the game will not provide the items you actually earn.
The point of the game is to obtain various towesr, skills, items, and Heros to conquer differnent attack scenarios, basically a tower defense game, it is a fun to play, and a good way to spend some free time.
During the game cards are collected representing a tower, skill, or item, collect 3 gray cards, and merge them into a green card, collect 3 green cards, merge to blue, etc.
But what happens is that when you merge to purple or yellow, the game will display you have earned an purple or yellow card, but will not place the created card in you inventory, but, will remove all of the cards required to obtain the purple and yellow, so makes it impossible to get three yellow cards to create the most powerful red card. It should be noted, that at times, 3 gray, 2 green, 2 blue, and 2 purple created a yellow card, that was not provided, but all of those cards represent a lot of play time, that was just stolen from the player.
This was reported to the game support group, and of course many denials were provided, and a request for addional proof was made, screen shots were created, but this was not enough proof, the support staff then suggested a video be made of the failure, therefore multiple videos were provided, at that point, support just stopped communicating.
It is clear, in my opinion, the company operating this game is clearly aware of this issue, and this is the intended result, hopeing players will purchase the in app items to advance.
It is fine for a game to make it difficult to advance, but to intentionally remove the ability to advance to promote sales is dishonest, and should not be allowed. It should also be noted this issue was brought to the Apple Store, but as long as apple is getting paid to host the app, there no interest in insuring Apple's customers are treated fairly.
Just for information my support request is Ticket ID #141, my original complaint went as far as providing the videos, then I was told another support ticket had to be created.
