Phoned for insurance on a performance car couldn't give me a quote straight away said the person I needed was on the phone.... Asked to be called back the next day then spoke to someone who took more details but still couldn't give me a quote over the phone very odd. I asked for an email to be sent once they had finalised a quote never received one. The car I was trying to get a quote for was already insured with a different reputable company well known up for renewal but thought I would get a comparison quote from a different specialist???? Wouldn't bother again in my opinion not very professional and they are not bothered about customer relations and new business.

I recently had a complicated claim for a rental house – and was really glad that I had instead gone to Pace Ward.
Not only had they ensured that I was properly covered, but I didn’t have to endure hours ‘hanging on the telephone’ for call centres to get things resolved.
The team were brilliant, they kept me informed and got the claim pre-approved, so that when the work was completed, the payout came in record time.

Too reliant on electronic comms for renewals.
Edited after speaking with the office manager this morning:
Unfortunately there is nothing in place to avoid missing or misplaced emails that do not ‘bounce back’.
Even with update details i still did not receive my renewal.
Having called in for a second time yesterday, when it became clear that my profile of a single vehicle did not fit the business (pace ward) I should have been advised if this.
Having now verbally been given my renewal figure of just under £1500, which is a ludicrous figure in its own right, I obtained alternative insurance elsewhere via a different provider.
I hope that pace ward learn from their experience of over calling electronic communications as a sole method of looking after customers as it cannot and should not be relied upon in circumstances of the importance of vehicle insurance.
Although the final responsibility is with a driver, a good broker ensures their customers at the very least are in possession of the facts regards their insurance.
As a result, I still do not recommend pace ward as I feel having been a customer for over ten years, I was at least worthy of a follow up letter in the post. Don’t skimp on 50p 👍
In any event I was to be left uninsured at the end of yesterday and forced to source insurance elsewhere.
Learn from the error, put things into place to deal with these things as a responsible broker 👍

Although it would seem that you made every attempt to contact me and I managed to successfully receive a no claims letter by email, this does not remove the fact that I had nothing else from you.
You seem intent on lodging the blame with your customer, seem to have learnt nothing from what’s happened and you are perfectly able to post a letter without spreading covid 19 so that is a very weak excuse.
I’m please to see you have written a huge paragraph of blame directed at me exonerating yourself with comments like ‘we checked to make sure there was a handshake’ on the server.
Considering the domain you emailed WAS UNHOSTED I’d love to know how your magic server managed it.
You have learnt nothing from this at all, haven’t addressed the issue with regards to unsuitability of single cars with yourself which could have been done on the call I made to update details.
You failed to do so with every opportunity you had, admittedly not many, but you did have the option.
Consider training your staff on that material fact.
As for spouting about how an unhosted domain with no server could handshake with your mx…..diatribe.
And so the review drops back to a 1.
