Godwil was very easy to deal with. The price of my home insurance quote was far better than my last insurer so that's why I went with Out

Attempted to get a car insurance quote online. Filled out the form and ended up being told lsomeoned call me. Very quickly received a call from agent whose name I didn't catch. This person asked me to confirm the details I entered , then started asking about my house insurance, who with, how long. I asked why this was relevant to my car quote and was told that it was to see if they could give me a good deal for house insurance, and that she could not skip over it as the computer wouldn't let her. (Unsolicited marketing without permission?) Then further questions in relation to my driving history and some standard legal questions asked. Then I was asked if I wanted Comprehensive or third party despite having given this information online and early on in the call. At this point I pointed this out and was told I was had said my existing insurance was comprehensive and the agent moved on. As I was quite tired at this stage, I told the agent that she was wasting my time repeating all the questions which I had already addressed online and to please finish the questions and give me the quote. When she didn't do as asked I told her I was not wasting any more time, and that I would not be giving Outsurance my business and hung up.
This approach to selling is disrespectful of my time. Either provide a quote online, having got relevant information or on the phone. But do not call and repeat all the online questions and engage in unrelated information gathering not related to the car insurance. Entire experience was frustrating and tiresome. It took about 15 mins to complete the online form which had some glitches, and this was followed by a 13 minute call which I terminated due to impatience and fatigue. I do not appreciate gratuitous information gathering when trying to buy a product. Cop yourselves on.
And I still have NO QUOTE. Waste of time!!!!

Attracted by their advertising i tried to switch house insurance from AXA to Outsurance. What a waste of time and effort. I own house since 1976, never had a claim of any kind. Have gas etc safety checked and serviced annually by registered fitter. I also have house checked for compliance to building regulations every 3 years.
I was refused buildings cover on basis that i did not reroof the house since it was built pre-1921 and because i am judged to be a flood risk area. I am at top of camden street with a sharp gradient that runs downhill all the way to college green 2/3 miles away. We have not had a flood here in my 75 year lifetime. My roof is regularly attended to, gutters replaced, slates renewed if needed etc. It has never been a problem.

The fact that you were not penalised because of age. I have been insured all my life and felt that I should not have had to pay exorbitant rises of insurance. Thank you for taking my driving into account and not my age.
