Is Orlando for the kids

My honest opinion is that no it is not. Orlando's crime rate is making it difficult for families to enjoy themselves in this city. Disney and Universal City is holding the standard the best they can being in the city that they are in. You go to Orlando for Disney, but you better stay on their property because what is left in not that desirable. You have the hotel industry with very little to offer in the way of value. The alternative is the Time Share Properties, and you are best to stay clear of this, least have a blemish on the vacation the kids will not forget or forgive. The pressure most people endure at a time share for cheaper hotel prices or free tickets has brought a less than desirable client to surround your family with. Prime example is Westgate Lakes & Resorts, probably the largest in Orlando and has the most Consumer Complaints out of any company. Orlando is starting to look older and run down, and it wont be long before families start to venture else where in spite of the Disney and Universal lure.
