A scam, avoid at all costs

I signed up to Optiontown to select seats for an Oman Air flight. They say they will allocate the seats 24 hours before the flight, and that the “price will be charged on your card only if exit or front row seat is successfully assigned to you”. Two days after signing up, and three months before my flight, they have taken the money. I have no guarantee that I will get the seats I selected. I have tried ringing them but after a few minutes the line goes dead. This is 100% a scam. Please DO NOT pay them any money or sign up to anything. You are just wasting your money.

I paid for a flight pass and after months I was asked to pay additional fees

I paid for a flight pass under the assumption that the price is fixed (this is the main reason for purchasing in advance 20 tickets). After a while, they came to me and asked for additional money for taxation increases or other increases (and temporary blocking ticketing issuing). The first time I paid. The second time I asked the airline involved and they convinced Optiontown to stop asking me additional money.

Dear Guest,

We apologize for any inconvenience.

Please be advised that the tax amount was changed, and hence the system asked to pay the tax amount, however as a good will gesture the bookings were created with out any additional payment.

Absolutely abusive

Absolutely abusive - they sell pass with details that exclude code shares and do not offer any solution or take responsibility when the company changes the flights and there are no flights available for the itinerary booked

Just don't do it

Last year, I purchased a flight pass that offered an unlimited number of flights, with the expectation that I would only be responsible for paying airport fees. Initially, the service seemed promising, and I was satisfied with the concept. However, as time went on, several issues arose that made the experience less appealing.

While the initial costs appeared affordable, I soon discovered that the provider, Optiontown, added significant service fees, which made the overall price much higher than anticipated. What seemed like a cost-effective deal quickly became less competitive as the service fees accumulated.

The situation worsened during the summer months when I encountered frequent booking issues. On multiple occasions, there were technical "glitches" that prevented me from securing flights, sometimes taking weeks to resolve. As a result, I found myself having to purchase tickets directly from airlines, as the reliability of the flight pass became increasingly questionable.

In addition to the booking problems, the cost of my tickets gradually increased. Initially priced at €49, the cost per flight doubled to €99 over a few months, making the pass less attractive as time went on. By the end of the year, I chose to book directly with airlines to avoid the complications and rising prices associated with the flight pass.

In conclusion, while the concept of an unlimited flight pass may seem appealing, my experience was ultimately unsatisfactory due to hidden fees, technical difficulties, and rising costs. I would advise caution for anyone considering this service, as the value proposition diminished significantly over time.

Be careful!!

Be careful!!!
I have a serious problem with Optiontown. 18 months ago, I purchased 20 flights from Frankfurt to Amman for a total of $7,000. Unfortunately, there is a contractual issue between Optiontown and the airline, which has prevented me from using any of the flights.
For 18 months, I have been trying to get my money back, but all my attempts have been frustrating. I have sent numerous emails, of which more than three-quarters have been ignored. The few responses I received were unhelpful and did not offer a satisfactory solution.
I even contacted a lawyer in the USA, and i wait!
I want to urgently emphasize: Be careful!

Please don't use this service!

Please don't use this service or pay a lot of attention. They make a lot of restriction to your travel date and it is not always easy to understand it before you booked. I just bought 12 tickets to travel with Ita Airlines and after paying i realized i could not travel during Christmas time (19 December 15 january) that make the flight pass useless. I immediately called and sent message (5minutes after paying) asking to cancel my pass as for my mistake and they refused. Their policy is no cancellation even for mistakes or just after one second. I will try to recover my Money with my bank and with a layer. But will never use this service again. Customer Services useless and they enjoy telling you they will not give you back your money! Bad!!
Update: after insisting it seems they will help me and covert ithe pass in credit. I wait their action to give a final update.

This is a huge scam

As Optiontown now 6 months after my flightpass has expired and ask me to give them a review again; I will repeat myself...
This is a scam... I bought business class tickets as I am traveling a lot between Oslo and Johannesburg. However, it became obvious pretty early that they only have 1-2 available seats to cover this offer.

I ended up not being able to travel at all even trying to be flexible with dates for half of the travels and ending up not being able to utilise all of the procured tickets - and having to rebook one of them, ending up loosing at least 6000 USD.

Their customer service is a joke where at one point they said that there were two available tickets for me but I had to book them separately - then of course being able to book one and then had to pay for the second.

This was with Ethiopian and I cannot understand why they promote this scam; this puts my anger to also go towards them.

DO NOT SIGN UP. It is not valuable at all for any business travelers.

I was able to join the customer service over WhatsApp to get help with the booking at the desired date and they promised to actively working on solutions to improve their service. I hope this helps someone.

I've been scammed by this company.

I've been scammed by this company.
I bought a "Flight pass" From them for 20 recurring flights for $6000.
I've using half of the flights, and suddenly, half a year later, they're asking for an additional $2300.

It's ridiculous. I've refused and now they're cancelling my flights, and refuse to refund me the money.

So I've lost money on the Flight pass, and now I also have to pay again for the same flights I wanted.

Beware- this company will not honor their commitments, do not give them your money, as they will scam you and not give it back!

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!

I purchased a ticket package from them for 6k. After redeeming my first roundtrip tickets I took the first section of the flight. When I went to return home I noticed they had cancelled my tickets. I tried in vain to contact them and had to buy an extremely expensive one way ticket home. After many attempts to contact them I finally got a response that they put the wrong price on the website and instead of 6k it should have been 32k. That is crazy expensive and I can buy the tickets cheaper from the airline directly. They refuse to give me the tickets unless I pay the difference and they refuse to refund me. Unfortunately since they wont respond anymore and they dont answer their phone I have had to hire a lawyer and will have to sue to get my money back.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY

Once again… the fraude continues

Once again, like almost every week, the reservation platform doesn’t work and I have my money there. I’m pretty sure that the platform will be able to book flights again from the moment that I have already to pay a fee for booking too late. As I mentioned before, it’s more than obvious that this is a fraud company selling a product that either doesn’t exist and doesn’t bring any benefits to the customer. The shame of the story is that we complain to the support line. No one answers no one replies whatsapp and if you complain to the airline , they simply say that I need to talk with OptionTown. It is a mission impossible. Please be extremely careful. Don’t fool yourself on buying this product or you will lose money simple as that. If someone wants proof of what I’m talking, I have screenshots of all conversations with OptionTown all attempts of booking flights. Everything.

Complaint on bookings

I am writing to formally complain about an issue I encountered with my recent purchase from Optiontown. Below are the details of my complaint:

Name: Gnanadhas
Booking Reference:

Booking reference : SKIXXZ
Booking date on 4th May.
Travel date for 1 passenger on 3rd June.

Booking reference : MCQBXE
Booking date on 19th May.
Travel date for 2 passengers on 29/06

I have attempted to resolve this issue through your customer service channels but have not received a satisfactory response. First of all almost 3 months 90% of dates are black out so booking is difficult thru option town but incurring more money on extension as we couldn’t complete the bookings within the stipulated timeframe.
I am requesting to confirm my above bookings urgently. This purchased tickets are invalid it seems this is still not available in the my manage bookings. Travel date is nearer whereas booking is still not confirmed by Optiontown. Please contact me at your earliest convenience to discuss this matter further.

Thank you for your attention to this issue. I look forward to your prompt response.

Sincerely,
Gnanadhas

Never seen such a big scam in my life

Never seen such a big scam in my life. To start with, it took them more than a month before they activate my subscription. Then they didn't adjust the end date. I had to beg for it. Furthermore, flights are not available in my Flight Pass even though I can book them from AirMalta website. Eventually, I could only use 2 tickets out of of my 8 tickets flight pass. It's very shameful.

Very responsive but with hidden charges

Very responsive on WhatsApp and also very professional. Their customer service is excellent.

I would only fault them on “hidden” extra charges that pop up out of nowhere. For example they advertise a flight pass that shows an initial payment of xx plus instalments of yyy only to find the initial payment goes up by an extra $1,500 upon checkout!
