This has got to be the most deceptive online store there is. Everything about them is super bad from misleading about their products to falsified shipping schedules with FedEx, etc. My last 2 transactions with them resulted in DELAYED EXCEPTIONS and nobody knew where my orders were. DON'T BUY FROM OPTICS PLANET. Opt for a more reputable company.

Deceptive business practices. Today was the second time in a row that I placed an online order with OpticsPlanet for merchandise (with absolutely NO mention that the product I had ordered was not in stock!)—then getting an "Order Status Update" email AFTER my order had been placed stating that the product is unavailable. I will no longer be doing business with OpticsPlanet.

I agree with others. OpticsPlanet is the worst online retailer. I made a purchase through Walmart, thinking that a return would be easy. When I realized that Walmart was not the seller, I immediately canceled the order. Then I found the same item on Amazon cheaper. OpticsPlanet sent it anyway. Then, I went to complete the return, and the mandatory online form said the order number was not a valid order number.

I will not totally blame the company for this, but NEVER order USPS shipping. The company ordering form says 5-6 days. I am on day 11 and still waiting.

Customer service.... ehmmm, perhaps this is a 40 yoa living in his mother's basement and smoking weed.

Worst customer service I ever received. I ordered a product in stock. I got an email that it wouldn’t arrive till November. It’s May. I called in to exchange it with a different optic that was 3 dollars and change off. They then tried to charge me for a whole new optic rather than applying the cost of the original and rolling it over to the new optic. I had to call 5 times to get everything fixed. I got to a point I canceled my order. They just lost a customer of 16 years. I will scour the earth to tell everyone how horrible their customer service was.

Item info incorrect and no response trying to call. Info states item includes a picatinny rail installed on the item in two places however item was received by mail without the rail. Tried calling several times with no answer. Used the callback option but they call back too late in the day for me to be able to answer the phone. First and last purchase ever from opticsplanet.com. I see why the reviews online are only 1.3 stars!!!

this place sucks! lets you add items to your cart and purchase them when they are on back order and don’t advertise it as so. i’ve only ordered from this place 3 times. 2 of the 3 times this has happened. IF YOU WANT TO WAIT 2-3 months for your item, purchase from these clowns. i’ll pay more for the same item next time. never again…

This company has to be amongst one of the worst online retailers. Inventory shows in stock but is not, when I called them they promised item was located and shipped, another lie. 16 days to receive an order which I eventually got from amazon in 3 days! They had it $10.00 cheaper with a coupon, not worth it. Horrible dishonest people. When I tried leaving a review on the website, it was decline because it did not meet their guidelines since I was leaving the same review as here. Hilarious!

I placed an order for an item. It has been about a month and they have not even processed it. They have pushed the ship date back at least 5 times. Don't order from this site if you need something in a timely manner.

I had some good experiences but this last experience was so horrible I would never shop with optics planet again the lost me as a loyal customer who always used them as a go to place to shop online. I bought a $300 item 04/6/26 never got it and then they made me wait 15 days just to file a stupid claim then now I get a email I have to wait up to 21 more days and maybe longer it’s now 05/1/26 still no refund or anything when the item never shipped this is ridiculous. They claim it was the carrier fault which they lied to me and said post office i contacted the post office a week straight and they never had received the package.once I get my money back I’ll never show with them again. DONT SHOP WITH OPTICS PLANET. They are not good!

Bought a Holosun ARO RD2 don’t work brand new out of the box. Tried calling, putting in an RMA. No one gets back been waiting on the a while

In this day and age there shouldnt be bad experiences with online shopping. These folks have no live customer service. Terrible experience-

Ordered two items. They were scheduled for delivery 4-3-26 but never arrived. Contacted them and was told I had to wait 15 business days from last USPS tracking update, which I did. They were responsive and polite to my emails. I then requested they reship my order and was informed one item was out of stock and would be shipped on back order separately. A couple of days later I inquired as to the shipping date of my new order and was informed I must now pay additional shipping since one item shipped individually would be below the $49 Free Shipping threshold. This occurred through no fault of mine and just seems like they should complete my order, even if shipped separately. Therefore I have requested that my order be cancelled and my cc refunded with shipping. We shall see how that goes. I’ve ordered several items over the years and will not ever do business with them again. They really left a bad taste in my mouth over $70 worth of items and an additional $12 shipping after the fact. Way too much hassle with no satisfaction in the end for me. You can do much better Optics Planet!

Ordered a "USED " but supposed to be complete fore grip for one of my shotguns. Item came in a timely manor. Problem was it was incomplete. Contacted them via online chat that was a complete waste of time. To their credit someone did call me back and stated kinda that all used items were simply as is even though they said it was complete. Short of it is STAY AWAY>

Ordered a rail mounted flashlight. Could not believe the company would not ship my order until I answered the following questions, this directly from their email.

1) Who is the end user of the product(s) you have ordered?

2) What is the end use of the product(s) you have ordered?

3) Where is the final destination of the product(s) you have ordered? (Please respond with a city and country)

4) Why was your order submitted with an international IP address?

A lot of products are not IN STOCK for shipment. Website description of product is very vague. Prices are high than normal.

I ordered an item off of optics planet that they claimed was in stock. I paid extra for three day delivery 15 days after I ordered the item. It is still not been shipped out yet according to optics planet it has been I had to contact the carriers to clarify the fact that the item was not available for them to pick up optics planet creates a label, making it look like they have the product then they order the product from somebody else and make you wait and they are very, very unwilling to give refunds even when their own policies have clearly been broken

Have attempted for the last time over several years to buy items that are listed as "In Stock" that actually are not "In Stock". False advertising. I will not even use them as a last result anymore. They simply cannot be trusted to be honest about availability of their stock.

Don’t ever order from here if you want your package within a month the shipping is dog water no matter the discounts they throw in.

DO NOT ORDER FROM OPTICS PLANET! Placed an order on January (it's currently April) for an optic, package made it to my city same month but was sent back before making it to my address due to insufficient shipping address. That's all great and dandy but since I wasn't able to get my money back or cancel my order since it was technically still in transit I was stuck with a charge for a product I didn't receive. After 3 months and multiple emails and them refusing to send me another even though the package was on its way back to them I filed a claim with my bank and that was that.
