Initial service was good, Salesman Darren, was keen to get me to sign up constant communication.
Once signed up it took 10 days to meet with my tutor.
I've since had to cancel due to some unforeseen circumstances and have attempted to get in contact times to 3 different people, via contact information provided on the website and has been radio silence since. I am trying to make a complaint but only emails listed are the ones I have tried. Soon will be making a complaint to the financial ombudsman if no contact.
I managed to call the college to advise cancellation, they advised received my email but no holding email worth a customers time.
They advised sent a request to find out how much of the course was access to see if they can refund. I advised when I finally met my tutor, she provided a tour of the platform. The customer service agent advised will probably be unable to refund as access has been made, despite this being a part of choosing my units and not actually viewing any course materials.
I have checked the signed agreement with Snap Finance (finance company they use) I can't see any wording regarding this so will be making a complaint and escalating to the financial ombudsman and any other relevant governing bodies as seeing other reviews, there seems to be a trend

I took two A-Levels Biology and Sociology. The support from the tutors was delayed and lacking and the content was vague, I had source additional support and pay though other avenues which is incredibly disappointing. Links within the learning material did not work and the IT support I received to help was useless at times. In honesty if I knew now what I would be getting when I signed up I would not have bothered.

I had such a lovely experience with all of the people I spoken to. Darren Kendall was my online adviser and I could not have wished for a better person to guide me through the process.
I am 19 and am struggling to get funded to go back to college. I wanted to go back to college so much that I thought I had no option. after doing some research and speaking to the right people I am know enrolled and am finishing my A-level with open study college.
I learnt today that the world is your oyster and sometimes you have to be selfish and do things for you, and that is exactly what I am doing.

The course itself is wonderful. Lots of insight
However:
- Certificate took around 5 months to arrive, not the 12 weeks they claim
- I have SEN needs and got in touch regarding some express support ideas and they said ‘you have access via email to your tutors therefore no additional support is needed’ despite me saying the support they give is not up to the standard/ level needed and I requested even a 20 minute zoom call as help to break down the assignments
- The customer service team are awful. I called on numerous occasions to ask about the certificate and got told they will chase it up and email me, did I ever receive any email or call? No.
- I have 5 courses. The same tutor for all 4 except one. I am not getting the level of support I need from this tutor for the one course. I have tried to explain it but nothing. So I requested if I can have the same tutor for that one course as she teaches it. I got told no. Just explain it to her again…I have tried otherwise wouldn’t be getting in touch

I had a Lovely experience with Open study collage after my previous collage ceased their trading before I was able to complete my course, not only were the admin team very helpful and quick to respond they offered me a discount due to this. My tutor Donna was very helpful giving very supportive and encouraging feedback, I am looking to enrol on another course with them in the future.

About two days prior to successfully enrolling with the open study college, I was supported by a kind gentleman names Sean. He made the process quite easy and much less cumbersome, especially because I process concepts differently to most people, and I really found the experience quite pleasant!
