Really the worst company I've ever…

Really the worst company I've ever dealt with. How the company can still run and provide insurance is beyond me. Please stay away from this scam of a company, if I could score a -10 I would. Horrendous customer service, Horrendous everything, ignore you for days then decide to cancel your policy. Honestly shocked by everything about this company.

SHOCKING !!!!

I would give them -10000 stars if that was an option!!! AVOID AT ALL COST, it is not worth the hassle!! Took out their policy last year in July 17 and followed all their instructions regarding the app, etc...a couple of months later they started sending me texts that I was not recording my journeys when, in fact, I was!! And my app was showing they were all recorded! Endless hours on the phone with them, they promised call back to discuss more in detail and investigate...Surprise surprise, no call received; had to call back myself, explain myself and the whole story all over again and was promised another call back which, guess what! It never happened. Days later, I received an email from a so-called ‘technician’ - asking details about my phone. Bear in mind this was now in Nov last year, so the whole thing dragged for months and, during all this time, I kept receiving emails, texts and letters of cancellation although I was told over the phone and via email that my policy would not be cancelled. I also kept chasing that ‘technician’ via email who eventually stopped answering and I didnt think too much of it as he had assured me several times that the matter was ‘under investigation’. To keep track of the story, we are now in Feb 18. Mid Feb I received yet another letter of cancellation, that was when I thought enough was enough and made a complaint. Of course, I had to explain everything yet again as no one had any idea about my situation. About a week later, their final response came, no solution to my problem, no compensation, merely an apology that the ‘technician’ stopped responding to my email and of course, the threat of cancellation which I was already too familiar with by that time. I contacted FOS and they are now investigating; the company is avoiding responsability, passes the issue to one another...they are operating as...licensed by...etc. This is the worst company I have ever dealt with in my entire life, I DO NOT RECOMMEND IT to anyone!! STAY AWAY as it will only cause you trouble!! I was hoping to save a few quid as their quote was cheaper than all the rest however, trust me, it is not worth the hassle!!! PLEASE STAY AWAY and if you are having issues/ have had issues - REPORT IT TO FOS, Something has to be done!!

Horrible Customer Service

Rang to change policy to a new car, was told a price, bought new car. Due to circumstances i had to end my current policy and start a new one. I was informed that they would waive any cancellation fees. When i rang to start the new cover i was told that they wouldn't insure me as the new car lease was not in my name. Had to go to another company.
As it was them who wouldn't insure me (as opposed to me choosing to go elsewhere) i expected them to keep to the agreement and waive my cancellation fees.
I was told that they had to go back and listen to the calls before agreeing, so i asked them to cancel the old insurance anyway and to let me know. A week or so later another payment is taken, so i rang to see why and was told that they haven't yet cancelled the policy. I asked for a refund and was told 'no, not until we check the call to see what you said' and that they would call back later. Not impressed so far.
While on the phone the agent was very blunt and unhelpful. For example he kept putting me on hold for long periods. When he asked again to put me back on hold i asked him "can you not leave me on hold for 10 minutes this time" to which he replied "it wasn't 10 minutes, it was only 8"... Shocking bad attitude.
Pay a little more and avoid at all costs.

Terrible Service

My son took out a policy with this company sadly.
I have been trying to cancel the policy for 5 days. I have phoned on 4 separate days at varying times only to be left on hold for over half an hour each time. I have emailed them on help@onlyyoungdrivers and info@onlyyoungdrivers only to hear nothing back. I have tried different options on their phone system in case new customers are prioritised over ones who want to make changes to their policy, still nothing. They have 2 numbers one an 0844 and one an 0333 (probably cost me a small fortune by now). I will have to send a recorded letter now and cancel the Direct Debit. I'm contacting the financial Ombudsman about this company also. Terrible service keep away!
