Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Considering 237 reviews, most reviewers were unhappy with their experience overall. Many customers reported issues with misleading pricing, where initial cheap tickets quickly escalated in cost after booking. Reviewers frequently reported being informed that their booked flights were unavailable, requiring higher payments or date changes. This often led to unexpected additional charges and unconfirmed reservations, making the booking process frustrating and unreliable. However, some customers also noted positive interactions with individual staff members. Several reviewers praised specific agents for being helpful, patient, and efficient in assisting with reservations, finding boarding passes, or resolving seating issues. These individuals were described as going above and beyond, providing clear guidance and making the experience less stressful for users.

One dollar fly is trash

One dollar fly is trash. My husband booked me a flight and he paid for it. They then said that ticket that we paid for is not available. And I had to pay the difference which was 700.00. They refused to give me my money back. I was in tears because I was trying to get to Denver for my sick grandchild. I will never use them again. Trash.

This is a complete scam

This is a complete scam. They give different answers with every person you speak with. I could buy the tickets cheaper on the airline website. I spent 3 hours on the phone with them when it would have taken 10 minutes for the same ticket at the same price. They called me at 5 am for the tickets and it was the worst experience I’ve ever had buying an airline ticket. I would never use again completely a bait and switch company in India with rude people who are complete liars.

OneDollarFly.com is a scam

OneDollarFly.com advertises a flight rate during the booking process, but only discloses at the very bottom that the flight &cabin is not guaranteed. After submitting the booking, customer service calls to inform you that the selected flight & you cant carry luggage with you. You may change that if you pay extra. This lack of transparency is misleading and unprofessional. I would not recommend this service. They just want to take your money after you book reservations & then cancel it.

I had two young ladies help me…

I had two young ladies help me tremendously both in booking and then again with checking in and sending my boarding passes. I'd like to thank Riley and April, as they both deserve this five-star rating! My trip was falling apart and April helped me get things sorted out and Riley was wonderful getting me checked in and getting my boarding passes on my phone so I didn't have to mess with printing anything!

Beware the hidden meaning behind Flexible

As others have mentioned, beware of the hidden meaning behind flexible and non-refundable on One Dollar Fly. This is not like Expedia's non-refundable. I booked tickets at the very cheap price and then received the phone call everyone else is talking about. They said the airline did not have those seats available on the dates I selected. I could either fly a week later for that price or pay 2 to 4 times more to fly on the same dates. Had to flex on the date slightly and pay more. They would not listen at all when asked to simply cancel everything and refund the money. Never again!

Highly deceptive

Highly deceptive. They book your flight and send an email saying the booking is successful, but this is not a confirmation. They then tell you to call because there is a problem and try to rebook you at a much higher price. They say you are on "the wait list" which means you could get a flight any day in the future, but I doubt even that is true. Supposedly all this is outlined in the agreement you are supposed to read and agree to, so you don't have any recourse.

TOTAL SCAM I purchased a flight for $268.00. I ended up paying $468.Leaving later on both ends of the flight

I purchased a flight for $268.00. An hour later I received an email saying there was something wrong with my reservation and give them a call. I called them the flight I paid for wasn’t available. I was told by Lucas Carter 2107 “The prices on the site are promotional and usually not available. Coustomers have to call and are offered higher flight prices.”.I was offered flights double the price and not the days I originally paid for. The prices were higher than what the Airlines were charging. When it was all said and done the flight I originally paid $268.00 for ended up costing $468.00. Plus my departing flight has me getting to my destination 3 hrs later. And departing from my destination 8 hrs later. It’s a scam. Total RIPOFF You will do better going straight to the airline or using a more reputable site. The charges will show up as what the airline charges then another charge for a fee from 1 Dollar Fly. They will not send your flight confirmation number until you accept the separate fee they charge your bank or card.

These appear to be scammers operating…

These appear to be scammers operating out of India who use this site to harvest personal information. They run several similar websites designed to lure people with unrealistically low airfare prices. Through these sites, they collect sensitive data such as your email address, physical address, phone number, and date of birth. If you call them, they claim your flight is “in process” or that someone is working on it. I paid for a supposed ticket from New York to London, which turned out to be completely bogus. If you’ve been defrauded, report it to the FBI and other appropriate consumer protection agencies so these operations can be investigated and shut down

Don't Use This Company

I would give a one star, but I bumped it to 2 stars because of the end result. Please be warned that these tickets are at such deep discounts because they are flexible tickets. You are not made aware of this when searching. The date and times you purchase may change in order to keep your purchase price. Also, they are non-refundable, and no change or cancelations. You make the purchase and then you wait to be contacted by the company to get the times and dates you will actually fly. This is based on the 3rd party reaching out to the airlines with which you want to book tickets. Be on the look for any toll free number to call you. Not the number on the website. When I got the call the number was screened as Charity Company Call. I almost ignored the call. There is a possibility that your cost may go up. I expressed to the agent that i was not available for dates or costs outside of the options I booked. You're forced to either except the possibility of alternative dates, higher costs, or giving up your money. Thankfully, after about a week, I received a message saying that the airline I wanted to book with instructed OneDollarFly to cancel my ticket and not to charge me. So the extra star is really because of the external airline company.
