The first time I ordered a Oh Barney pet portrait of my cat was in Aug 2022. I was so busy before I realised how long it had been and I had not received it in the mail. I reached out to Oh Barney and I was told that they were waiting on me to ok the preview. I had not received this email in my inbox, junk or spam. After I advised Oh Barney of this they told me they would send it through again. After a few more emails and time waiting, I told them to send it to production, it was clear to me there was an ongoing issue with receiving this preview email. I will mention, I use my email account daily and regularly receive emails in both my inbox and junk folder with no issues. When the portrait arrived I was disappointed to see that my female cat had a royal blue collar on. In the picture I sent, you could only see her silver bells. If I had of seen the preview, I could have had her collar changed to pink so she actually looked like my cat. I don’t look at this photo and identify it as my cat because of this. In Oct 2022, I sent through another request for two portraits of my dogs. This time, I was going to ensure I definitely received a preview before giving them the ok. This particular order did send through the preview and things went according to plan.
I have made a third order over a week ago, this time for my mothers recently deceased dog. I emailed Oh Barney pretty quick out the gate letting them know in the past I have had issues receiving the preview. Oh Barney told me to give it another week and keep checking my inbox and junk folders. It has now been over a week and no such email has been received. It’s beginning to feel like a repeat of my first order and overall wastes a lot of time I don’t have.
My review would be Oh Barney is hit and miss and quite time consuming. I do feel pretty ripped off with my first pet portrait too.
