I made a random decision today to go visit O’Brien AutoGlass in Arndell Park to fix a couple of car window issues I had been putting off. I was immediately greeted by a friendly technician who quickly checked one concern I thought was a crack in the driver’s window. It turned out to just be the tint, which was a huge relief.
I also had a problem with the passenger window being unstable when wound down. Despite a busy schedule, Jack took the time to properly inspect and fix the issue within 10 minutes, free of charge.
This level of honest, efficient, and genuinely caring service is rare. The team here are a real credit to the business. If you’re looking for friendly, professional and trustworthy service, I highly recommend them.

Over four months I've had a major crack in my windscreen only to be told twice within that time that the new screen has also cracked.Surely there's more than one screen on the cargo ship from Korea??.Will not recommend O'Brien's as a reliable service.Shop local.

Fantastic experience with Fyshwick team.
90 minutes and away with new windscreen on my Sprinter.
Disgusted with O'Brien's.
Booked an insurance claim for the replacement of a side window glass in my car, was told 2 weeks, the day before I receive a txt message to say sorry glass hasn't arrived. Call them to re book. Was previously told glass is in Melbourne I am in Brisbane. Now told another 2 weeks. Absolute joke of a company. No customer care or responsibility what so ever.

From booking my car in to collecting after installation of a new windscreen, I can’t fault the service I received at the Fyshwick ACT branch. The booking process was easy, staff engaging, process efficient and the customer waiting area cool and well-equipped on a boiling summer’s day. A whole new windscreen fitted and calibrated within 75 minutes.

If I can give a negative star rating I would. Been booked in by RAC and was cancelled 3x. What a load of crap. Don't believe their 4.7 star review claims on their website. You can't even leave a review on their website. I wish their company ill will.

The cost of the work made our jaws drop! Over a thousand dollars to clean out the guttering and repair the downpipe. In the quote it mentions safety that are commonsense and only relevant to the employee. Way over the top!

rock damaged windscreen and position means it needs to be replaced. Rang O'Briens...they took details and said they would get back. Three sales people later asked to speak to a supevisor..at least she was knowledgable. But all I got was excuses hail storms etc. Finally said they could do it in two weeks for $1500 but would give me a 20% discount. I am not willing to wait 2 weeks with no car, they have not sighted the damage and assure me I can still drive it, I replied no way, what if the cracks spread, what if it rains and I get water migration into my dashboard...answer was "oh that wont happen',,, as soon as they say that it will probably happen. I explained their advice could result in my insurance being compromised as well as the car's warranty. I will call other companies and avoid 1800 numbers as you just get sent to a third party who knows nothing about the industry and reads from a script, promises a prompt freply, then lets you down

I have made three phone calls to windscreens O'Brian then promised someone would ring me back haven't had a return phone call within a week very poor service. The last time ring they said they would put my inquiry down as an emergency two days later we're still in the emergency waiting for them to ring.
O’Brien Rosebery replaced my windscreen but removed my genuine Toyota wipers without telling me, fitted aftermarket Bosch blades, and discarded my originals. Toyota later confirmed this causes warranty, safety, and servicing problems. I contacted O’Brien but they refused to resolve it, saying aftermarket was “better.” Very poor service and lack of accountability.
I found myself in an unfortunate situation when my windscreen was chipped while driving from Sydney to Melbourne, requiring repair before a roadworthy inspection the next day.
My partner organised a representative from O’Brien to call me during my drive. I was greeted by an amazing, friendly representative who put my mind at ease and organised an outlet for me to visit the following morning at 8 am.
Note: Considering the outlet was not in my suburb, he kindly discounted the rate to account for my travel costs.
The next morning, I visited Kris and his team at O’Brien – Clayton South. Immediately, Kris inspected the chip and provided welcoming advice, attending to the repair instantly.
What impeccable service by the team at O’Brien. Their genuine care, expertise, and willingness to go above and beyond made a stressful situation so much easier. If you want a seamless, friendly, and efficient experience, don’t hesitate to reach out to the team at O’Brien—they truly won’t disappoint.
Booked in for a windscreen replacement over the phone 25.08.2025 for the work to be done 27.08.2025 and paid $100 deposit.
Was called 26.08.2025 and told that the glass wasn't due in until November! Then quoted on OEM glass which was over $1300 (more than double what I was quoted on Monday). Deposit will take 7 days to get back, no solutions from O'Brien, just a half-baked apology. Found an alternate supplier who can fit the windscreen on Thursday cheaper than the original quote. Will never consider O'Brien for vehicle glass again, only went with them for reputation and they let me down first go. One star is generous!
Wanted a reputable company to fix my second story window. I will never use O’Briens again!!
Rang was told it would cost $333, but giving you a discount. Then could give me a further discount if she rung the store who did my area. It was weird literally a second later she said I’ve now rung them and they’re giving you a further 20%. So your total on the day is $267. Ok I agreed. I said do I pay that amount on the day? Yes that’s it. She knew it was a wooden window, 2nd story needs fixing from outside. She said they’d have a ladder that can reach.
On the day one guy turns up, oh it’s a second story! Then reads the sheet first floor window. I can’t do that I need someone to hold the ladder. Calls others sorry can’t do today you’ll have to call and rebook.
The guy I called was extremely gruff on the phone. I said I’m very disappointed as had to take today off work. Rebooked
Two guys came out. First one can’t do as need scaffolding. Second guy comes. Yes we can just hold ladder. They proceed to have a full on argument in front of me. I said guys take it outside and when you can work it out come back. I don’t have time to listen to you arguing. Comes back needs scaffolding. I asked him to get them to please call me. No call. Email arrives with a quote for over $1700. The original discounted window now has gone up in price also. I email back. She basically calls me a liar and that it’s a quote not a price. I said no she told me that it was a total of $267 on the day can pay by credit card. When I say I’m going to write to head office she comes back with I’ll get head office to pull the conversation so we can hear exactly what was said. Worst customer service and experience. I would never use O’Briens ever again!
Very Disappointed – Poor Workmanship and Terrible Follow-Up Service
I recently had my windscreen replaced by this company, and I’m extremely disappointed with the entire experience. From the moment the job was done, there were multiple issues that should never have been overlooked by professionals.
Firstly, the trims around the windscreen were not put back on properly. My dash cam was not reinstalled in its original position, which is something they should have handled with care. Worse still, the dashboard was not even cleaned before fitting the new windscreen – a basic step you’d expect to be done as part of the job. To top it off, the speaker in the pillar was not reconnected, leaving me with a partially working audio system.
I contacted them numerous times asking for someone to come back and fix the issues. They booked a time, but never showed up – not even a courtesy call to let me know or to rebook. This has happened more than once. The lack of communication and follow-through is just unacceptable.
I expected a much higher standard of service, and I honestly cannot recommend them based on my experience. If you're looking for a windscreen replacement, I'd suggest going elsewhere unless you want to deal with careless workmanship and non-existent customer service.
At first glance, Windscreens O’Brien seems like a reliable choice, especially with their claims of adhering to Australian standards. However, upon closer inspection, those standards appear to be quite loose.
For example, our Toyota came with a factory windscreen that has a 97% UV retardant rating as standard. When looking for a replacement, we found a significant variation in windscreen quality, yet O’Brien was unable to provide any details about their supplier or the specifications of the glass they were installing.yet their mantra was Australian compliant.
For anyone concerned about UV protection, optical clarity, or glass origin, I’d recommend choosing a company that can disclose the manufacturer and provide clear specs on the windscreen. Just because a windscreen is “Australian compliant” doesn’t necessarily mean it meets the highest quality standards.
We couldn’t get an answer out of obrien as to who manufacture the windscreen.
Needless to say - we went elsewhere.
Had my first experience with O’Brien Auto Glass at their newest depot in Hoppers Crossing today.
Hats off to the team especially the manager who was extremely helpful and they did a great job in less than the time they said - highly recommend this company for your windscreen chips!
Emergency repair to secure a property. Installer turns up at 3pm, agrees to repair, then disappears without fixing anything. Call centre calls, apparently he knocked off. Fair enough I guess it's a Friday afternoon!!!?? Has the hide to offer to rebook me as a midnight callout for a further $290 on top of the agreed price. Are you kidding? Is there anyone even running this business who understands basic customer service? Won't ever be calling O'Brien again.
Wanted a phone quote only for sliding door glass replacement. Had measurements. Person wanted my full name, address,, (had already given suburb) phone number I asked why they needed all this information when all I wanted at this stage was a quote. I hadn't said I'd book it in with them, kept stipulating at this stage I only wanted a quote, that 2 previous companies hadn't wanted all my personal information at this point in time. Person kept telling me it's their policy. Seems like a lot of unnecessary personal information required by them for a comparison quote. Needless to say, I didn't waste any more of his time.
