Very well made and beautiful in appearance, this is a very pleasing piece of furniture. Its one limitation is that it has only five shelves; the assumption seems to have been made that its primary purpose will not be the storage of standard-sized books all stood on end. I would much prefer to have had six shelves, closer together, so that properly filling the available space would not have necessitated stacking books on top of one another. However, a six-shelf option was not available.
