Excellent first aid train the trainer + L3 AED
A really enjoyable course with relaxed and experienced instruction from Lara. The AED was woven into the first aid course. The venue was the Holiday Inn, Oxford and it has a superb training and conference centre. Unlike some courses, I think you should already have first aid experience rather than expecting to learn as you go. You will get straight into giving presentations on parts of the FAAW syllabus. I would recommend this course and NUCO generally for their no-fuss administration system, for course admin and qualification awards.

Five day course
Just attended a five day training course with Nuco and it was excellent.
The trainer was so experienced, organised and knowledgeable, and was able to get the best out of each person on the course. I improved not only my knowledge and experience on the course, but also made improvements to my own teaching through Lara’s approach and watching the other learners on the course.
Excellent training facility at Oxford Holiday Inn, great course and lovely people.
I will definitely be attending further courses with Nuco in the future.

Enjoyable, Fun and Wothwhile
The training I received last week with Paul McKenzie was fantastic. Paul has a wealth of knowledge and training experience and he made the training not only enjoyable but extremely easy to understand. His approach was multi-faceted and he added fun and joy into the elements of delivery. For what was a long training course, Paul made the days run quickly (but the homework was awful :-)).

Daz, Ade, and Ali were the perfect instructors; they were always willing to answer any questions and were patient with our progress. A professional set up company…
A professional set up company throughout the booking process. Great venue at Washington with excellent facilities and learner resource pack during the course. Only just finished the course but so far the NUCO support system in place on line for trainer/instructors appears very professional and well set up to run your courses post qualification with updates to first aid etc.
I attended the course as a qualified teacher already and felt that the first two were more about teaching where I expected to be covering more first aid skills. I accept there were students on the course who were doing the teaching qualification as well alongside the first aid and that would have been more beneficial to them.
For those of us not doing the teaching qualification the course finished on day 4 so would like to have done more first aid skills with it being advertised as a 5 day course.
The trainer had an in depth and outstanding level of knowledge in first aid and introduced some brilliant practical teaching methods of getting it across to the learners. An excellent part of the course on day 3 & 4 and thoroughly enjoyable. However I had to give the trainer some feedback early in the course on his manner in which he’d made the group feel during a practical scenario and this was later addressed with me.
The trainer also just needs to be a bit more aware on occasions of some of the words or comments used when in a professional training environment with people who may not find them appropriate or comfortable.
But overall I would recommend this company and course.
