Found geat pet sitters that tookk care of the house and pets as if they were their own. Nomador saved us a lot of money on top of providing peace of mind knowing that the house and pets were going to be looked after in the most caring way.

The site is fairly easy to navigate but don't like getting emails every day for countries I'm not interested in or dates I'm not available. I've changed my alerts a few times but would simplify things if there was a section for countries interested in. Just like the selection of the animals one is interested in petsitting. Also dates available.

We are very pleased with Nomador. We found lovely house sitters who cared very well for our cat and the other animals. And we got super support from Nomador as we had a problem to send a review. Thank you!

Basically, Nomador is a great idea. Either I look for someone to look after my pet and my house while I am away, or I look for a place to stay and can live there for free in return. It's a give and take situation.
Of course, each side has certain expectations of what the giver and taker should fulfil (basic principle: leave everything as you found it), and there are offers where, for whatever reason, you always say, "I definitely don't want to go there" (too remote, too messy, etc.).
But one thing becomes clear after the first stay, when not everything goes 100% smoothly. Neither party will ever give a bad review, even if it would be appropriate, because everyone wants to reap the benefits again. So when reading the reviews, you never know how honest they are.
This makes reviews meaningless.

So far we have done 7 house sits and they were all great. To trust and be trusted means a lot in this world. We have been to Mallorca, Menorca, Italie, Madrid, France and Sweden and met the nicest people.

I adore NOMADOR! Over the last few years, this agency provided me with very nice and trustworthy catsitters every single time! At times, even last minute. Not only are their members generally nice professional people, I also even made friends and received invites to lovely places in France and Switzerland! I am also impressed, what is being offered for housesitting by other members, and look forward using that feature one day as well. In terms of website support, I had fast replies if needed, and friendly solution oriented assistance. I cannot recommend NOMADOR enough!

A productive Concept that works for Mi from 2017

Our first experience was great and we hope to have many more in the future. Regarding functioning of the website, sometimes it did not renember my settings which was a bit annoying. Orherwise, we are content.

The concept behind NOMADOR is genuinely excellent. Allowing pet owners to travel while welcoming people who want to discover new places is simple, generous, and mutually beneficial. When it works, it’s brilliant—and that’s precisely why the platform deserves to be better protected.

Unfortunately, two aspects of the review system seriously undermine trust.

First, anonymous reviews. Allowing people to leave negative feedback without identifying themselves is, in my opinion, deeply problematic. It opens the door to unfair, even malicious reviews, where anyone with a grievance can damage a profile without accountability. This lack of transparency feels cowardly and fundamentally unjust in a system built on trust.

Second, the ease with which fake reviews can be created is alarming. It is not difficult to spot obviously fabricated feedback: a friend or partner creates an account, a fictitious house-sitting date is agreed upon, and a glowing, entirely fake review follows. When this happens, genuine recommendations lose all value, and users who play by the rules are penalised.

I still believe strongly in the philosophy of NOMADOR, and I want to like—and trust—the platform. But for that to happen, serious improvements are needed to guarantee the authenticity of reviews and the fairness of the evaluation system. Trust is the foundation of house sitting, and without reliable, accountable recommendations, the whole idea is weakened.
