"My account on NiceHash has been frozen…

"My account on NiceHash has been frozen under the pretext of needing to complete KYC. I am ready to go through verification, all documents are in order, but the KYC process itself is blocked — there’s no way to upload documents, and a message appears saying 'contact . It’s been 6 days with no response, and meanwhile, I am unable to withdraw my funds, which are frozen at $500. I’ve been using NiceHash since 2016, and this treatment of customers is disappointing. I hope for a quick resolution to this issue."

NICEHASH IS LEGIT AND FRANKLY AWESOME

Background: I have a rtx 3080ti that keeps overheating (even after replacing the thermal pads and paste) AND electricity that I am charged between $0.15-$0.30 /KWhr (depending the hour of the day)!
So... as much as I *want* to continue mining, there is just **no way** to make it profitable without a crystal ball to know when/if/how-much the crypto mined will break a profit.

I mined my first crypto on NiceHash back in the day, saw the news about the new minimum account requirements, and closed without any issue or delay from NH.

Fast-forward and I finally decide to investigate NiceHash's version of cloud mining: EasyMining. I dropped like 100,000 sat's in fully expecting it to bone me... But it didn't. The profit ratios seem very logical, AND proportional to the blocks they show mined every minute in EasyMining.

YES, i can see how gamblers could loose their houses here, but... life is full of risks and rewards so... "set your stop-loss" and be smart.
Yes I do believe there COULD be some cloud mining services, such as EasyMining, that could work. I believe with the host providing a max time that you rent the miner/hashrate... well you have a successful operation for both customer and buyer. The problem, imo, with cloud mining as it was and still is, is that there is never any contract-mention (or even dialogue) about a max timeframe.

Anyways, the key thing about the minimal requirement is that you have 6 months, **SIX MONTHS,** to mine OR ... anything really to have it count as active. So... really easy.
The KYC thing is spreading like COVID everywhere, and frankly the FED's fault/decision, so just get used to it.

Nicehash dragging kyc and refuse to release accounts

I read the same unfortunate stories as mine. and I have nothing different to write. NiceHash blocked my funds worth 707 USD since Nov 2, refusing to allow me to withdraw them under the pretext that I did not pass the KYC check. I have sent all the required documents including ID card but the account has not been verified. They took pretext that moving to Switzerland. there is no phone, no chat support and no recourse for legal complaints. It’s a shame. I cannot recommend this company anymore.

NiceHash blocked my funds worth almost 600 euros, refusing to allow me to withdraw them under the pretext that I did not pass the KYC check. I have sent all the required documents including ID card and passport but the account has not been verified. They basically took my money and refuse to give it back.

0 stars. SCAM. Stay away from NiceHash

I had 400 euros but I cannot move to a BTC account, they want KYC for everything, my account is not anymore valid for anything. And they steal my money every month, even if log in because they are smart and they put a fee for dormient accounts. Too sad they will get all my money earned with years of computing and electricity bills.

NiceHash keeps your money

NiceHash keeps your money, it does not help you resolve a transfer made to its platform that did arrive but it does not pay you back that deposit, if you ask for the private key to recover the money they tell you that they are already looking into it and they will not resolve it. I do not recommend using this app.

ABSOLUTE SCAM

ABSOLUTE SCAM! These thieves will literally steal your money. They made up some BS about having to need to KYC, so I did ALL the steps they asked and they failed me on KYC AND locked my account with thousands of dollars in it. So they are just holding my funds now and won't release anything. It's a scam, SCAM, SCAM. RUN from this company, don't walk, RUN. They are based in some foreign country and don't care about us. It's about them and scamming. That's all they know. Typical Crypto scam.

NiseHash is basically a scam now

NiseHash is basically a scam now. In the end, I was able to withdraw at least some of my balance but not without NiceHash eating a part of it as an "inactivity fee". Also the withdrawal was not easy and took several hours over several days. Want to withdraw? Add a method. Oops, can't withdraw now, you have to wait 24 hours. Oops, now we charged you an inactivity fee, which got you under the minimum withdrawal amount. Want to use a different withdrawal method? Go through identity verification, even though we just came up with this and we state that it's not mandatory for another 3 days. How much do you want to withdraw? All of it? Can't do that, insufficient funds, because of the charges. The "max" button is there just for fun. Oh, you want to go back to change the amount? Well now I'm not going to tell you what the charges are going to be so you have to randomly keep changing the number and clicking the button to see if that's sufficient... And on and on and on...

Financial Entrapment! BIG FAT SCAM

I can't withdraw my $26 balance because I don't meet the minimum threshold to withdraw. I can't add a lightning network address to withdraw as an alternative unless I KYC. I also can't just deposit more BTC to meet the minimum withdraw threshold either unless I KYC. I tried to KYC and kept getting errors on all my address documents. Slowly I'm being drained of $7 a month inactivity fees while support giving me copy-paste responses that don't even address my issue. I just want my freaking BTC!!! How is this not financial entrapment?! I hope a class action lawsuit gets started to sue these snakes.

Changed fees so that they can steal…

Changed fees so that they can steal your money. Added inactivity fee, and made it hard to be counted as "active". Using the service normally does not count as active. You can't withdraw your funds due to a minimum withdraw requirement, but you also can't build up to the withdraw requirement because they will keep charging you "inactive" fees.

0 stars.
NiceHash is a deceptive company and the only advise i can tell anyone about them is to never have a account with them. I do have a current account with them and they have deliberately stop me from activating they're 2FA and so i cannot make a withdraw..I have contacted them about this issue and they're reply was "well to bad". and I hope they go to Hell.

Will actively steal your money

1. They retroactively decided to charge fees for dormant account. Seriously? You are doing NOTHING.

2. They have a stupidly-high minimum transfer threshold, so I can't even get my BTC out!

All this to say, they are milking past (and future) clients. DO NOT trust them with your own assets, and don't give them the satisfaction of your business.

These inactivity fees they just…

These inactivity fees they just introduced are pure nonsense, I don't mine anymore because my profitability would be in negative, can't withdraw my assets because there's a minimum withdrawal amount, can't even close my account because there are still assets left. I would need to deposit some btc first in order to reach minimum withdrawal amount, but it asks KYC process in order to make transactions, and no I'm not giving them my details just to get my few cents, but still, they just force me to wait and lose all my assets, if they could at least make an exception for lower withdrawal amount for inactive accounts or something....

This company went from GREAT to SCAM

I joined in 2018. It was a great way to participate in mining without running a big operation physically.
Fast forward to 2024, they keep stealing 0.0001 BTC monthly as an "inactivity fee", they prevent me from withdrawing my funds by throwing as many technical problems (on their side) and a tedious KYC process my way hoping that I would give up and let them slowly drain my account.
The only thing their useless customer service is doing is repeating bullshit that I could easily read off their manual without solving anything.
This company went from great to scam and I can't believe I didn't realize this and withdrawn my funds when I still could. The don't deserve to have the word 'nice' in their name any more.

Poor alternatives

Lack of alternatives for those that, wish to not show their financial information.

Staff are requesting are for to open another account and send through an empty statement, (NOTE: most banks do not give statements if there are no transactions and opening an account is not classified as a transaction).

On top of that they are closing tickets like they are resolved when they are not due to the lack of response like the person does not have other obligations to attend to.

This company becomes something else !!

This company becomes something else !!! Unbelievable what you go through with KYC procedure. I provided documents in July, fully verified. Then, september they ask again, OK I said ( I should not say OK, to be honest ) then verified again. Now, in October they ask verification again what a heck is going on ??? This is insane, emotional torture actually become full time torture. KYC procedure maybe you can ask once in year to update or ask for confirmation, not in 3-4 months in a row 3 times. I have no words whatsoever, I removed all my miners from them, just don't wanna know about them anymore. I am sick and tired of these nonesense from this company.

Not worth the risk

I recently tried to mine crypto on this platform for fun but it slowed down my pc, even after uninstalled and factory reset, when i check the website the rig was still connected to it somehow. Becareful because once you download the plugins etc you might not be able to delete it unless you send it to a specialist to check. Also support was useless. Overall really scam website will never use it again.
