Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Evaluating 159 reviews, most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Customers frequently complained about extremely frustrating login processes and overly complicated security verification procedures that made account access nearly impossible for many users. Reviewers also reported that the digital platform frequently crashed without warning, failed to load correctly, or completely lacked essential medical records and appointment details. However, some people mentioned that when the application actually worked properly, it offered a reasonable, useful, and improving way to contact healthcare providers. Consumers noted that managing online appointments and communicating directly with medical staff was beneficial once initial technical hurdles were successfully overcome.

About Sums Up Our Country.

At the start, App working fairly well albeit far short of its capabilities. For no apparent reason, suddenly unable to use or access. Leaves me with no way to embrace technology, including chosen website by GP Practice (Evergreen) as not working either. I'm tired of all this, so when medication runs out. Will stop, unless sit on the phone.

Convoluted Hell

Convoluted no links to the info that they spew out. I am now a very old pensioner And to try and access my account has now become impossible due to a problem with passwords.
I am now locked out of my account and am at my wits end
This quite frankly is the worst website I have ever encountered

The NHS app has lost the plot.

Trying to log in on this site has become a nightmare . It recognises nothing. When I first used the app I thought it was brilliant I only needed to tap on the app and it opened immediately with my fingerprint. Now it’s become a pain I now have to jump through a number of hoops to get access.

Reasonably OK when it lets you in

When I can actually log in it’s reasonable but as Face ID doesn’t launch 70% of the time it’s frankly pretty useless.

I don’t have any other apps that fail to launch Face ID - not even the worse than useless Santander app. Yet logging into the NHS app is a game of chance. Will it? Won’t it?

Kainos are yet another public sector IT partner that has failed to deliver the goods - but I’m sure they have enjoyed the c. £140m of tax payers money sent their way over the past 7 years.

Restart, Re-boot !!

The app runs ok for a few days, then all I get is a circle buffering - even though all other apps on my 'phone are working with no problems.
The cure is to restart my 'phone.
However, I need to check the app is functioning each day in case I miss any important appointments / results etc. Most annoying !

Unbelievably useless

Unbelievably useless. I used to be able to sign in using my email and password and then, all of a sudden, they were refusing me entry and telling me I had to give photo ID and make a video of my face turning and repeating numbers. What the actual F? I do not use the app on my phones, I only use the website it on my PC. I asked for help and have now, after asking them to cancel my account, been informed that the ticket has been closed. I can't get signed in, I can't find any links to give the info my GP gave me to prove my ID. The system, like most digitised systems run by any govt/national dept in this useless country is a pathetic joke. Hospitals don't send letters now, one is expected to constantly sign in to see what on earth is happening. it's beyond farcical. I wonder how many have died because of this nonsense? the digitisation of all things is not there for our benefit, it is there for control and manipulation. I am no further forward after multiple emails and 'advice', none of which works.

The NHS App is a box-ticking exercise

The NHS App is a box-ticking exercise, not a real service.
I followed the official guidance to book a GP appointment, only to be shown a list of irrelevant clinic types that have nothing to do with seeing a doctor. No clear GP booking, no explanation, no help.

Security code fiasco

This review is sent from and concerns Susan Evans. One star as I reported on the 20th jan I could not get a security code so I could not open app. Latest info. on 24th jan. says it can be up to four weeks before they can sort. That is five weeks and I am having treat ment so I cannot read msgs regarding treatment, appointments etc. There is a box on app (when you can finally get through) that says if you want to get on the app without using a code, tick the box. That has never worked. I am absolutely sick of this app and wish I had known it was bad before I installed it.

Useless

Useless, nothing works & pointless. The GP Surgery so called staff don't answer their phone, (although they're laughing & cajoling behind the reception office drinking cups of tea all day while the phones are ringing out), so there was hope that the App would relieve some of those long drawn out nasty calls eventually answered by a know all receptionist. But no such luck. All the App is, is all your personal business in one place waiting to get hacked. No repeat prescriptions option, no appointment making options, absolutely nothing to be done on this App. Pure & utter nonsense

Terrible

Terrible. Impossible to use. If this is the only way to access NHS no wonder so many people give up. What a waste of taxpayers money. Whoever set this up should be ashamed of themself.

Won't even use the app again,

Like all App, waste of time and space, tried it once , never again as I deleted it completely out of the phone, which I rarely use, too much data protection for anyone to hack into, and to even download a file or to view a file, as they want you to download the app, which is no way , samecwith the GP practice, they now want you to use 365 office which cost you per year,
As knowing that they are like the rest climate change net zero activist, wanting you to do everything online. Just let mother nature do what is best for all, get rid of the internet because its too much easy work as to everything going else where when they never update there records, and this AI rubbish needs getting rid of too.
Lost faith in the NHS from being a baby. As that's a different matter altogether as its something I'll keep to myself knowing why and hiding things .
Go back to the old method in the service as its better, and todays ots all about doing things online, which is no better.

Talk about overkill

Talk about overkill! The sms text reminders are annoying maybe 2 is enough but I've received 6 reminders for one appt over the last 2 wks & that was accompanied by a letter through the post as well. Come on NHS do you not think enough money is wasted as it is. Calm it down a bit

dead links on the NHS website to the app. the app expercience is terrible. everytime i have tried to log in it says either my details are invalid and i need to make a new account that will delete all previous messages. i have just spent the last 30 min trying to login, why do i have to send pictures of my passport and video everytime i want to log in to see messages from my GP. horrendous experience i wouldnt reccomend it to anyone.
