Do not use newporthillsvet

Do not use newporthillsvet. This vet has been declining in services, bed side manner and has gotten worse over the years. The owners changed hands around 2014 and it's been getting worse since then.

Wait times were so horrid at this vet 2+ hrs an hr after opening that they had to switch to appointment only.

Onsite parking is limited and often always full. Covid restricts services to curb side only and will be for a while longer.

They screwed up medications with our cat.
Took 72 hrs to get lab work back to us. It should only take 24 hrs at most.

They did not consent us for a few things they did during our cat's medical procedure and just went ahead and did it. We were on call that day the chose not to call us. This decision almost cost our new kitten his life. We did not get a discount on the procedure but every follow up (which was 2+ weeks worth) of appts was a pill to deal with.

When we picked up medication, foods and lab work they often miss placed them and/or haven't even completed the order for them. We were asked to come back 2-4 times and they still failed to get it done. They would frequently screw up the medication and would often send home or pet's meds/foods with other clients.

Billing is another issue. Their system struggles to accept payments, it goes down a lot and we've had to sort out more than one billing issue.

I pretty much ceased all business with this vet. Wait times had gotten so horrid my cats were damaging them selves on the carrier waiting 2+ hrs just to get in 30 min after opening doors. My male cat actually became afraid to go to this vet after the whole ordeal. I'm not sure what they were doing to him but he despised the carrier so much I had to replace it with a new one. My cat has zero issues going to our new vet eastside vet associations.
