Ignoring emails from last year, on instagram profile that says that will contact the office but they never do and as a customer, you have no protection when you pay - there are extra no payment options with any possibility to claim a conflict situation (like paypal). so practically, if you pay them - you can forget your money. I am wondering how is it possible that there is still no one locally in the Netherlands who went to the police with this... I have spend 67€ and didn’t have any plant live or dead, so sad!
Worst shop ever
Worst shop ever. I payed them a lot of money back in november. Still received nothing in January. They said at the 14th of December that they will send my money back in 21 days but is still nowhere. I am considering taking legal action. Now they do not even response. If they won't reply and tell me a date when the money will be sent back, I will contact police.

Disaster and disappointment
Me and my friend ordered plants worth around 230 € on May 13th 2022. Today is November 26th and we still didn't get neither plants nor refund, and we contacted them many times. I am so angry and disapointed in nelumbogarden, I haven't encountered such unprofessional plant shop before. I will definitely spread the word about them on my instagram plant account and privately. People, do not order from them, they are frauds!
Scammers!!!
Scammers!!!! They took the money in May and so far I don't have my flowers... The package has not even been sent! Until now, they also did not return the money and they were supposed to do it a month ago! Since then, of course, they do not reply to e-mails and do not answer! I report the matter to the police!
Absolute scam!!!
Absolute scam. Ordered in November 2021. It's been 8 months and nothing. I was getting replies to emails for some time telling me they were looking into it, it all stopped in May. Every time I call someone tells me they can't do anything but tell their colleague to contact me and they won't let me talk to anyone else. I asked for their names and they declined to give me the information. Asked for the official name company is registered under and was also declined that. It's a SCAM!
Missing plants and long delays
So I ordered 4 plants in February and on their website it said that they would be shipped in April which didn’t happen. After sending 2 emails and receiving the same automatic answer both times I‘ve decided to call. After that they sent me an email saying that they are sorry for the delay and my order got shipped a week after and I received it in June. Unfortunately, only 3 out of 4 plants arrived and the most expensive one didn’t. The plants I got were healthy but the pots they were in were way too big. I refunded the money for the missing plant via PayPal. Their prices are very tempting but it’s not worth it and I won’t order there again.
The delays are unacceptable and the excuses they give ridiculous.
I bought 2 plants in november,
expected delivery: mid-December.
The plants are not shipped and a new shipment is agreed with the seller in January, which no longer occurred due to the low temperatures. The company offers me a voucher that I have not used and will not use.
I communicate to the company that the temperatures allow shipments again but I get no response. I sent 5 emails without ever getting a reply. I contact them on Instagram threatening to ask for a refund if they don't reply to my numerous requests for information on the status of the shipment: magically, an answer arrives.
They apologize for the delay and assure me that within the next week they would try to send the package to me. The week ends and after patiently waiting, no shipments are expected. I contact them again by now annoyed and they tell me they are not sending due to the low temperatures, too bad that here the temperatures are around 20 degrees.
I write to PayPal to try to speed up the shipment, asking several times for my plants, the only goal of my request was where they ended up.
Now I have obtained a refund, only thanks to the intervention of PayPal, I will no longer have the plants to my great regret and they will no longer have me as a buyer.
The delays are unacceptable and the excuses they give ridiculous.
Perfect packaging, awesome plants
I must confess that I was very nervous upon placing my first order with Nelumbogarden, after reading the bulk of negative reviews. Add to that a few weeks of (informed) delay to shipping and then a nervous wait for the courier to actually deliver the plants. But all my worries were wiped away when the plants arrived. They were packed to perfection, they were still a bit moist after 4 days of travel, but, thanks to the well-draining medium in which the plants were planted, there was very little moisture in the actual soil. The plants I ordered - 5 Alocasias in different sizes and one Philodendron Sodiroi - came in perfect shape. All leaves intact, no yellowing of the leaves. Some plants were even larger than I expected. I was impressed by the quality of the plants, the perfect packaging and that the plants arrived in such great shape !
Update about couple months later: plants still going strong, all but one have produced new growth. The one that did not yet produce new growth is busy growing a leaf to adulthood.

Made my order 3 months ago didnt get my plants. They sell rare plants with cheap prices, but no one will never get them, or its going to take -months-. Plus, they are removing all bad comments from facebook and instagram. They doesnt want to receive eny bad or even neutral comments, and they are even paying if leaving good comments.
I think this company is going to be in big troubles if going on like this. Never order from nelumbo again!

Worst experiences ever!
After my first and bad experience with this shop last year I didn’t buy anything from them anymore, but two months ago I saw a plant from them that a friend was looking for and I decided to buy it for her birthday. I paid with my PayPal and added her address so she could get the package at her home. I ordered the plant and the website accepted my payment via PayPal. After almost two months of patiently waiting, my friend emailed them to ask why she didn’t received the plant yet. A couple of days later (and almost two months after I paid my order via PayPal) they refunded me all the money and said to her that the Reason why they refunded was because I was BLACKLISTED and I’m not allowed to buy from them anymore!. I guess the simple reason to be blacklisted was because of my complaint and a bad review I left on their google maps page after being ignored by their super bad and rude customer service.
The thing here is that they are constantly breaching the EU’s General Data Protection Regulation, since by law is not legal in Europe to have any kind of Black list for clients, unless they can legally prove a major reason. They must reject your payment instantly if they don’t want to accept the order but they can’t accept a PayPal payment and hold the money in their account for two months and then refund with the excuse that this customer was blacklisted. Also the fact that they replied to my friend informing her that I was blacklisted it violates my privacy and the privacy policy that all businesses in Europe are obligated to follow. And the worst part is that this wasn’t done only to me, after talking with some people I have found that they basically do this to many people that are in their black list, so this is a practice that shouldn’t be done but still they choose to do. I guess in their minds this is kind of a “revenge”.
Not to mention their regular non ethical practices that have been discussed nonstop on social media. If you are new and you don’t know yet, because of the big amount of bad reviews that they had last year, they were (and still do) deleting every single negative or neutral comment or review on every social media site they could and also blocking people. Plus they were offering a 10€ reward if you made a positive 5stars review! Also last year it came out a big scandal from them not paying their providers which I think is now being legally handled by lawyers.
I invite you guys to research in any of the uncensored groups for plant discussion on Facebook to learn about the huge amount of people sharing the same kind of bad experiences with this shop.
Apparently this shop have all the time in the world to create and check a black list, deleting any bad or neutral comment on social media, blocking people and “punishing” as a revenge to every single person who dares to complain about their poor, neglected and unacceptable customer service, instead of replying emails and providing a good customer service to their clients.
If they were putting all this effort and work in having a good customer service, they will probably have the best plant shop in Europe because honestly this is a lot of work, but still, they choose to do it this way.
All this nonsense is just ridiculous!!!
But I guess that is the #nelumbogardenexperience.

Only order if you want to wait a long time for your plants.... When i finally got my Philodendron Brandtianum it liked sooo sad. Description Said that their might be ”minor damage on leaf”. The plant i got had ONLY DAMAGED Leafs. Very dissapointed. After 3 weeks it still had not come up with one new leaf, It looks really bad and not healthy at all. So i emailed Nelumbogarden and sent pictures of it. Their comunication is super slow and all i got for an answer was that there might be ”minor damage om Leaf”. Well....! I had only damaged leafs! No refund, no excuse yet. My friend got buggs om her plant.. Not impressed Will not buy again.

I am very happy that my order of two alocasia sarian arrived in perfect condition in good time with regular tracking updates. Very well packed and protected, included a heat pack which was still warm! I see reviews are not always so good so to be fair I've had an excellent experience and paid a very reasonable price for two plants that were not available in any garden centre that I tried.
Disgraceful service
Disgraceful service. I found this company had some plants that I was looking for, one on offer for Xmas Sale price and I was so disappointed when due to Brexit they removed the UK from their list of destinations but kept an eye on it and was delighted that they added it back soon after. I placed my order in December 2020. After 3 weeks I hadn't heard anything beyond the original email to confirm the order so I sent an enquiry & was - in a very casual unprofessional email - told that DHL are not shipping to the UK due to Brexit & it would take a couple of weeks to sort out and they'd let me know. I have been unable to find anything on DHLs website to confirm this. Again waited, hear nothing. I emailed and again was told to they'd let me know or I could cancel. I made it very clear I did not want to cancel as one of the plants I ordered was not easy to find in the UK & I've now missed out on it from other suppliers. I emailed y'day as we are halfway through February & asked what is being done about outstanding orders & expressed my view that they should take responsibility to find an alternative courier to fulfil orders that were placed in good faith. Despite several emails back & forth - most emails answered by a different name from the last person I replied to - I still got no answer as to what was being done, what the actual hold up was or when I could expect the plants to be shipped. When I emailed asking for specific answers I was told my order had been cancelled. I emailed immediately saying I did not wish to cancel the order & asked how I could contact a manager, I received an email confirming my cancellation had been processed & they told me I can look at ordering with the again once they are able to ship to the UK, I politely told them to F off. Absolutely appalling customer service, they take their customers as a joke & show total lack of care or respect. No concern or apology for inconvenience caused, no gesture of good will such as an additional voucher or discount code for future use, just an obnoxiously nonchalant & disregard towards people who did nothing but try to make purchases & support their business. I see they have a lot of negative reviews & I'm not surprised, I wish I had checked before ordering. I can only hope sharing my experience will prevent others having a similarly frustrating experience.
Absolute POS company
Absolute POS company, customer service shocking, plants arriving looking like absolute garbage, since discovered they don’t pay their suppliers and they delete all bad reviews from social media.
My Review
Ordered two times from this Company (ones in the summer, ones in Dezember) both times the Plants arrived healthy and in good Condition.
I liked the packaging because it was made out of recyclable materials (thick packing paper) and double packed in it.
They also included a heating pack on my second order which was still warm when the plants arrived (after two and a half days).
The plants where in a good size for the Prize and looked like the Pictures.
But i would really really recommend to repott the plants as soon as they arrive despite what is advised on the page because the soil was quite compact in the Potts they where Planted in.
The customer service was in my case also good and helpful.
They replied fast and kind and the Problem I had was solved very quick.
I overall had a very good experience with this company.
The only “bad” thing was the longer waiting time due to corona till the Plants could be shipped but that’s something the customer was informed about bevor ordering.
So everything was fine.
