Just replaced my Neato XV after 6 years…
Just replaced my Neato XV after 6 years where it has worked without problems and still works. Even though the XV was very good, my new Neato D7 cleans even better and is really smart with no-go lines, zones etc. + mobile app.
Have always been happy with Neato as it just works, which was not the case for my previous vacs from iRobot, which didn't last long and started to behave strangely after 1-2 years by going in only one direction or completely failing. Neato is also much better and faster as it vacuums in regular patterns.

Was over the moon with my Neato, then it went wrong - was advised to buy a new battery, which I did but this did not solve the problem, after toing and froing 3 months later a new machine was sent, 9 months later a fault has appeared with the new machine - making it useless. Their response was it has SOME hardware issues and suggests I get it repaired. Because thewarrenty is on the original one and not the new one it is null and void. What is the point of a replacement if the warranty only lasts the length of the original faulty machine. Totally would NOT recommend buying a neato just because they do not last very long and are very expensive for a few months.

The vacuum cleaner itself is excellent, but I’m writing this review about their customer services. I recently had a problem with the vacuum - turned out the dirt bin button had become stuck, but at the time I didn’t know. I cleaned everything twice and checked all the moveable parts - no luck. I emailed their support for help, detailing exactly what I had done. They responded within 48hrs, which isn’t too bad. The response was a generic list of things to try, however - not a direct reply to the issues I had stated. For that reason, they lose a point.
In the end I fixed it when I found the issue (which was not mentioned in their list). But anyway, I’m just pleased they replied to me at all, and that the cleaner works again.
Edit: I’ve bumped them up to five stars. The vacuum failed a few months after posting this, and nothing we could do would fix it. We were covered by a five year warranty, so we were able to send it back and have it repaired for free. It was returned to us, working perfectly, within a matter of days.
Really pleased with the service.
BEWARE! Do not buy a Neato!
BEWARE! Do not buy a Neato! Mine was replaced 2 times (because it's breaking down that easily?) and now the third time it was just out of the range of the warranty. That's not what you'd expect of a vacuum cleaner for this amount of money. I gave their support multiple opportunities to solve this with me, but they simply rejected my claim and that is why i give you a heads up if you were thinking about buying one.
Neato products break!
Neato products break! My first two Neato:s broke within warranty time so got them replaced. Now the 3rd machine broke 6 months after warranty time so Neato REFUSES to do anything. Not so good for me.
Will never buy a Neato product again. And will never speak well about them or their products.
If you ar looking for a robot vacuum cleaner, don´t buy a Neato.

I bought a Neato vacuum in summer 2016, and after a few months it started to show a mechanical fault. Their customer service was quick to respond with a free return service for replacement/repair.
Avoid!
Neato Robotics, as much as I want to trust and enjoy their robotic vacuum, is not the way to go and unfortunately I can't recommend them to anyone. After our first vacuum broke, we sent it in for a replacement. It took two months for the replacement to arrive. We had to buy a traditional vacuum in the meantime to clean- should have just done that in the first place! When our replacement robotic vacuum arrived, it cleaned the house once before no longer being able to turn on- despite the fact it was charged, we followed customer service instructions, etc. So we had to send it in for another replacement. After two additional months, the same exact vacuum arrived, UNFIXED with no note, and no evidence of being repaired. Apparently we can't receive a refund and are locked in a charade of continually being sent a replacement- even if the replacements themselves don't work. Stay as far away as you can from Neato and buy a traditional vacuum, or if you must buy a robot, buy from a competitor with a better customer service policy!
