Like most companies NI has some better and some worse sample libraries, that's not the point. The software itself is often mediocre, but that's also not the point. My main point is: there is no Linux... See more

Keep out of politics you are a music…
Keep out of politics you are a music software company for heavens sake!! The Native Access app constantly crashes on Mac unless you painstakingly install one product at a time. In fairness they are not alone in being a decaying company offering ever diminishing returns. Profit first and best also cobble some kind of half finished product for the customer second.
SCAMMERS
After having purchased several products from the company, I bought by mistake two packages that I already had, that same day I put it in knowledge through their website to get my money back and as I received no response I used the tools they offer to make use of my right of dissent of 14 days.
Two months have passed and despite my insistence I have not heard from them.
Thieves is what they are and then they complain about piracy, what a way to lose customers for only 129 euros that I paid, everything they put on their website about the policies of your company is all lies.
Do not buy products from this company if you have alternatives, which there are.
Long relationship with NI - over!
I had a long relationship with Native Instruments - easily thousands of dollars invested. Now I'm forced to use very old versions of ProTools if I want to use these plugins. Standalone doesn't really fit in my workflow.
I get it, it's difficult to keep up with versions of integrated software, but don't start something you can't finish.
I still have some hardware use it occasionally but I wish it would run with my current version of ProTools, etc.
The support for this company used to be good but now it's impossible to reach a human being and I find it a cheap move to send your customers to the user community to help fix problems.
BTW, the user community is excellent and I thank them for all the help over the years.
Conclusion: Used to be an exciting company with a great product line. Today I would steer clear of them.
Be patient.
I would like to express my positive feedback towards Native Instruments through this short text. They assisted me in transferring my "Komplete Select" serial to my correct account. It seems that I accidentally created two accounts in the past. Despite the long waiting time, they provided me with great assistance. However, I believe it would be beneficial if they had a live support chat option.
I am extremely satisfied with my product, and it would be fantastic if the serial codes could be entered through the website login instead of Native Access. I allowed myself to be influenced by negative comments, which made me slightly impatient. Nevertheless, I would like to take the time to mention that Native Instruments responded quickly via social media and communicated effectively with Plugin Boutique to resolve the issue.
It seem impossible to get the products…
It seem impossible to get the products to work. Having purchased a hardware keyboard which comes bundled with a valuable software library of applications and instruments I find that it is impossible to get the setup to work. I am no newbie but I have spent hours today trying to get my software instruments out of Demo mode and into a mode where I can actually use them with the very expensive instrument I have purchased. The help articles in Support are many and various but inchoate and having followed as many of them as I can, nothing works. Despite drilling down into their website for ages, I can find no way of raising a support ticket: they are clearly hoping that their 'community' will augment their support pages and let them off hook when it comes to real support.
I badly wish I had not purchased this because even if I ever get this particular problem solved I now know that their support is, to me, likely to be frustrating and of little use.
Their name is mud to me. Avoid.
Native Instruments lack of support
I opened a case on April 20th for an issue.
Received an email on May 5th stating "Due to the high amount of incoming requests, we currently cannot achieve our desired response times".
Received an email on May 12th and someone stated "Here a video on how to set it up for Windows Computers".
But there was no video attached, so no help there.
I replied back and said there was no video, so please send it to me again.
No response.
I replied back again....no response.
So, we spend all this money and there is no one to talk to or no one to have a chat session with. You have tons of articles for this or that, but sometimes it's better to speak with someone, because an article just may not help you.
It takes at least 10 business day for someone to get back to you, and when they do they don’t provide you with the correct information that you need.
Really?
I have a friend who is a die hard Akai user. He just came upon a Maschine recently, but I have to tell him now of
issues with NA Support. When I spoke to him to tell him this story, he said he never had an issue with Akai and that they
were very helpful.
So the MPC sounds really good to me at this point and I'm dumping this Maschine and will not be buying any more expansion packs
or upgrading my Komplete in the future. I think I'm done.
NI support is not working at all.
NI has certainly good quality products, both in hard- and software.
However, the company is not available via phone, just through a support portal - and this is my key topic here.
The responses are mostly automized emails, containing dead links and information that aren't of any help at all. They are closing tickets quite fast although nothing happened and the customer is then asked to raise another one. Same story.
Their cashback promotion for buying a Komplete S61 keyboard, for instance, is still not being payed out after >5 months and multiple tickets have been raised since then. None of their voucers received upon buying Komplete Standard (full package) are working, at least all I received were not accepted by their own shop though still valid and all requirements fulfilled. There seems to be a clear strategy behind - or what else?

So far I mostly have only good things…
So far I mostly have only good things to say. I own a Komplete keyboards and tons of NI software that I've bought over 4 years. Some of their software ends up in almost every song. Overall NI makes high quality software, but there are definitely some bugs and software does not get updated for long times. But even then, it's still pretty nice! I notice it seems very trendy to be dumping on NI here on Trustpilot, but I can't share that sentiment.
Bought a KK S88 mk2 ($1200)
Bought a KK S88 mk2 ($1200) that stopped working after about 18 months, no warranty after 1 year. I paid for the replacement unit another $160 that was defective as well and stopped working after just 10 months, no warranty either because it only applies under 90 days. I've been trying to solve this issue with them for 6 weeks. Damaged hardware and terrible customer service.
Boycott
Many years a loyal supporter and actively promoted the brands DJ side Traktor,
But after 15 years and 1000s in investment and upgrade the company keeps changing and stopped supporting kit i use AGAIN! Clearly sending out a bug to break/brick its devises that it only decided to discontinue a few days prior! Forcing people to a controller thats over priced snd badly made!
I cant forgive this, complete the betrayal of its long term users!
Dont bother investing with this brand! Its lost its way and doing its upmost to not support its loyal fan base!
Native Access 2 simply won't load on PC…
Native Access 2 simply won't load on PC running windows 10. What's worse is that the original Native Access fails to load Mascine 2 software successfully, leading to an inoperable Maschine Mrk3! I now have a useless bit if kit that I can't use!!! None of NIs 'fixes' work, no matter how many tines you uninstall and reinstall the Apps. German engineering at its worst. Avoid the company and its products. There are plenty of other good products out there.
Have had numerous issues with native…
Have had numerous issues with native instruments but today I bought their latest "play series" vst and it won't work at all I have other play series and they work fine I tried updating still didn't work uninstalled and reinstalled didn't work not gonna submit one of their dumb tickets its waste of time arguing with their petty employees
NATIVE INSTRUMENTS beware, your ways now are BLACK DARK
Once upon a time there was a Unison founded by pioneers who LOVEd music and understood sound as the ONENESS it is.
Then, naturally as it always happens in love, they got so so popular, they made amazing sounds and products. They made the world dance and sing and, in general, be more joyful. So amazing.
Then the vultures heard and came to first take a hand, then naturally the arm, and then the entire organism. Little did they care nor understood what LOVE and SOUND were.
This is happened just pretty recently. Your hand´s fingers suffice to count the years into the past this started happening. Then you can see the financial press of what happened to NI and the managerial changes to squeeze up to the last cent.
But of course he who writes is a user and a SOUL. He started when the change was beginning, got into NI hardware and Software. All In. There was still LOVE. Then the change. Vultures, I repeat. Yearly upgrades to suck blood out - subscription to follow - and most importantly, myriad, so so many bugs all over. Stealing music creation time from so many loving musicians so they could cut the costs they wanted. It reached a point in their so called 14 version of NI Sound suite where the issues were so large (truth be told Apple helped to pierce NI´s present appearance by the move to Silicon chips :); NI´s skeleton was afterwards very visible...) that not even the so called Native Access - version 3.2.2 - could access its own plug ins for even download. Ethernet, Wifi, Hotspot, fast, slow,... what the Heaven, the connection mattered little. The fancy now IN DARK FILL FOR A REASON DIVINE Native Access worked not. How beautiful the blue and white earlier version was, but darkness comprehended it not.
But hey, you can just contact support and well, then "you would hear from us". And nobody cares how many hours you have wasted from pursuing music. Because, shall we repeat....:
THE VULTURES OWN NI NOW.
BEWARE CREATORS, they have quite a monopoly - sound/crooked W/ide - and they will advance it globally.
BUT, a very big BUT,
WE SHAPE THE FUTURE WITH OUR CHOICES,
perhaps selecting more of DAW directly usable plugins and similar strategies to show NI there ways are BLACK DARK, would help.
Anyhow, I have choices indeed to make. And so do you reader and creator.
ALL THE BEST. THANK YOU SO MUCH, FOR ALL NOTEs
Guitar rig 6 crashes every single time…
Guitar rig 6 crashes every single time I pick a preset. I used every single fix online from their website and beyond. It is definitely a Guitar Rig 6 issue. I have sent several e-mails asking for help and never get a response. My mistake to buy any of their products that they absolutely do not support. Hopefully this will save someone else the trouble of wasting money on their garbage. Class action lawsuit time.
CUSTOMER SERVICE IS NON-EXISTENT
I purchased $250 worth of product from them in 2017. They have not been able to solve my problem with it since then. Customer service is non-existent. Emailing back and forth forever... Installing / uninstalling is not operational. STAY AWAY FROM NATIVE INSTRUMENTS, SAVE YOUR MONEY!!!
Dead company
They used to have great products and we had great expectations since they were more or less a monopoly with Traktor and Maschine but... sth went probably horribly wrong with the management and they never went that step further. Their controllers are not up to date, their mixer Z2 never got a MK2 edition... Traktor was the leader and now its even back from VDJ!!...
Also their support is just useless. Don't expect any answers and don't expect the drivers for their products to leave long. I had their flagship AUDIO 8 DJ which id left driverless for Windows 7 and after!
Don't come near this company.
It's so sad, but this company no longer deserves you or anyone. I've tried every way possible to get in touch with them and they have made it IMPOSSIBLE - which means they can no longer be held accountable. It's obvious they no longer care about customers. Their products fail to download. It's a mess. Stay away.
Komplete Kontrol
Komplete Kontrol? how about no control at all - they have kompletely lost kontrol.
Is there a star below 1 star in this review? Has anyone sued NI yet?
I´ve (unwillingly) been troubleshooting their looney-toones software for over a month, and now I am finally giving up after countless reinstalls and complete harddrive wipes.
Installing Native Access by the book on a fresh Mac or Windows install without touching ANYTHING, and it still doesnt work properly.
It will be some random stuff like Kontakt 7 reverting to Kontakt 6 and asking for a license just like that, out of nowhere. (Kontakt 6 aint even installed! why would I install the old version? I have tried that too btw...) Im not gonna list all the problems Ive encountered, because it would be a wall of text.
I am quite tech savvy and have used computers heavily for 18 years, worked in IT, the lot. And Native Instruments softwares: Maschine or Traktor or whatever, might be be THE worst. I repeat. THE WORST experience I ever had. It was funny at first, but now its just sad.
They should be sued for being allowed to sell this broken pile of digital scrambled gore. And dont get me started on the customer support.
And because I bought the M32 keyboard, I now have a bunch of buttons on it I can´t use, like chord and scale. Because I ofc uninstalled the software today. Because it is fundamentally broken in every single aspect of its function, from top to bottom. Everything from updates, to the UI. Performance. Structural integrity of folders etc. This must be some unattended code from the 90s - and then you make it propietary with the midi keyboard? I wish for the day someone will reverse engineer or jailbreak this keyboard to make it usable for normal people. And I hope you get that shoved in your face daily NI!
Quality is apparently a thing of the past, and yet we still purchase this mumbo jumbo. Because we are just broke peasants right? The only positive thing about the M32 keyboard is that the keybed feels nice, for the first few days that is (already they have started to creek) You would be better off buying a MIDI keyboard from wish.com
Trash company, they are scammers. Stay away! Save your money.
It's impossible to register second hand…
It's impossible to register second hand purchased hardware. There are support articles on how to transfer the license, but when You click on them they are displayed in German(!). And no, I do not use a VPN. Same goes for trying to create a support ticket. The questions are in German. Also, there is no way to either email or phone these weirdos. Twitter account is closed and Facebook Page doesn't allow direct messages. So You're stuck in a loop. It's downright disastrous. I would go as far as to claim that NI has the worst customer service in the world. And I've seen quite a few of them by now. They just don't care.
