Nandos gone downhill…
Always order the sharer starter with sweet potato wedges but just found out they are now frying them because they were so greasy and horrible. No mention of this on the menu as I cannot have fried foods for medical reasons which I find shocking for them to do without telling customers. Thought the whole point of wedges was they are oven baked but obviously not at nandos anymore. Their halloumi was wafer thin not like it always has been and their pitta bread was cold and stale tasting and their sweet chilli jam pots now come only half full which is terrible considering they charge £1.50 for it. less of everything for more money at nandos it seems and changing things without any warning unless you literally track down the answers yourself.

Service was very slow and table not clean. When we raised it with the staff they did not seem to care. Would not come back to the Great Portland Street branch.
Raw chicken
Peterborough- Chicken was raw when I bit into it, complained and got made a new one but that one was also raw. Didn’t seem like they was overly bothered as got offered for them to make it again for the third time! Asked for a refund should have requested that from the start but thought I’d let them rectify it but couldn’t.

I went in to their Leicester Highcross branch and paid for an order, but they did not serve it.
I tried emailing them, but they asked for a paper receipt to resolve the issue, which they do not provide.

and all good EXCEPT that i received breast which i don't like instead of leg. For years have complained a few times about that as when I go to the shop I have a choice of breast or leg portion but from Deliveroo and Just Eat there is no choice on the menu. Would be very easy to put a choice on menu.
I have ordered from other branches but always have same problem as it seems that Nandos Management don't listen to customers
Nandos Has Entered Its "Thoughts and Prayers" Era
I used to look forward to a Nandos. The chicken was tasty, the sides were fresh, and the staff generally knew the difference between a table number and a lottery ticket.
Sadly, those days appear to have gone the way of the Extra Hot sauce bottle when it's nearly empty.
The food quality has declined dramatically. What arrived at my table looked less like a freshly prepared meal and more like something that had lost the will to live under a heat lamp. The chicken was dry, the chips were limp, and the presentation suggested that gravity had plated it.
As for the staff, they were friendly enough, but seemed to have received approximately seven minutes of training, most of which was probably spent learning how to log into the till. Basic requests appeared to trigger a team-wide strategy meeting, and ordering food felt like participating in an escape room.
It's genuinely disappointing because Nando's used to be reliably good. Now it feels like the brand is trading on past glory while standards quietly wander off into the sunset.
On the plus side, the peri-peri sauce still tastes great. Unfortunately, it's doing some very heavy lifting these days.
I had an absolutely fantastic…
I had an absolutely fantastic experience at Nando’s during a small reunion with seven other people. We all left talking about how brilliant the staff were, and I wanted to give a special shout-out to Ella, Jenny, and another lovely lady whose name I unfortunately didn’t catch (she was carrying a small black fan).
From the moment we arrived, they were warm, friendly, and genuinely welcoming. They made us all laugh, helped everyone feel comfortable, and created such a positive atmosphere throughout our visit. They went above and beyond to make sure our group was looked after, and their energy and kindness really stood out.
I especially want to recognise Ella. I found out she has only been working at Nando’s for four weeks, which honestly shocked me because she carried herself with the confidence, professionalism, and friendliness of someone who has been there for four years. She is absolutely amazing and a real credit to the Nando’s team.
It’s not often that a whole group notices and talks about the quality of service they’ve received, but that’s exactly what happened here. If these ladies were around every time we visited, we’d definitely come to Nando’s more often.
Thank you for making our reunion such a memorable one. We all left extremely happy with the service we received, and I hope these staff members get the recognition they deserve.
P.S. This might be slightly cheeky, but if anyone deserves a pay rise after only four weeks on the job, I think Ella has certainly earned a strong case for one! 🙈
Order received and customer service experience
Very disappointed with both the order and the way my complaint was handled. I ordered a Lemon & Herb Nandinos meal for my child but received an Extra Hot meal instead, which was completely unsuitable and left my child unable to eat. Despite providing proof of purchase and photographic evidence, Nando's simply passed responsibility elsewhere rather than taking ownership of a mistake made by the restaurant. Mistakes happen, but customer service should be about resolving them, not avoiding responsibility.
Really disappointing visit to Nando’s…
Really disappointing visit to Nando’s Cramlington for our Father’s Day meal.
The restaurant itself looked very run down and in need of renovation. The bench seating was ripped at the end, and the bench was actually loose and moved several times while we were sitting on it. There were also bits of wood missing from the walls, which just made the whole place feel neglected.
On top of that, several items were unavailable. They had no cucumber sticks, no corn on the cob, and no ice cream, which meant the kids’ meals ended up being just double chips and chicken. We also weren’t given any kids’ menus or colouring sheets, which was disappointing when dining with children.
The food portions were poor too. I ordered the Butterfly Sunset Burger, and the chicken thighs looked like they had simply been cut in half. The portion was tiny and nowhere near what I would have expected.
What made it worse was the lack of apology or acknowledgement from staff. Overall, it was a really poor experience and not what we expected for a Father’s Day meal.

The Costumer service was really amazing, and I tried a new dish the butterfly burger. The flavour was incredible and the chicken was delicious.
