Can highly recommend My Probate Partner to anybody dealing with Estate Administration.
Very helpful at every stage of the process with useful guides in plain English explaining what needs to be done. I obtained Confirmation on the first submission to the Sheriff Court saving thousands of pounds in legal fees.

5 stars is NOT enough - at least 7 stars out of 5 would be more appropriate. MPP gave wonderful advice from day one, regarding the Will itself, whether or not an application regarding IHT was required, filling the form for Confirmation ... had I not enlisted help, I would have come a cropper. I really recommend the 'enhanced' service from this wonderful service.

Although I was all over my wife's financial affairs, I was unfamiliar with the legalese required to submit form C1 to apply for confirmation. (Who knows which Sheriffdom they live in?!) The gov.uk "help notes" are less than useless. I saved nearly £1,000 by using "My Probate Partner" rather than a solicitor. The whole process from initiating contact with them to receiving Confirmation from Scottish Courts took 6 weeks and involved an exchange of 9 emails.

My family used My Probate Partner for Probate/Confirmation for my mum's estate instead of the family solicitor. The documentation and guides from My Probate Partner are excellent. The support from Mike via phone and email was very helpful. Finally, the clerk who we handed the forms to at the court was also helpful. I think applying for Probate yourself works as long as the estate is not overly complicated and you're prepared to do some admin yourself.
