Nectar Points Daily Mail
I have been a Nectar Points collector for many years but I am disgusted at the Daily Mail Spin The Wheel experience. Mostly collected 1 point per newspaper bought. Better to abolish collecting Nectar points altogether.
Since when has the Daily Mail supported…
Since when has the Daily Mail supported gambling? I now have to spin a wheel to gamble for Nectar points , instead of being given them in the usual way as before. It's time to ditch this scam. And the not-so-very-bright person who thought this was a bright idea.
Spin the wheel what a load of rubbish…
Spin the wheel what a load of rubbish every time spin get one wow how good is that not worth playing why can't leave things alone that work
Contempt for their members/readers
Like lots of others have already said, the number of points awarded from spin and win is measly, far lower than before........ if it works at all, which often it doesn't! Claiming the points involves a lot more effort and, frankly, is not worth the bother. This is the latest mishandled attempt by the Mail to cut the value of benefits and shows its utter contempt for its members. Did they really think we wouldn't notice? Given my increasing concern about the quality of "journalism" in the newspaper itself, this is all I needed to stop buying it and move to another newspaper.
Its all a scam !…
Spin to win just a scam to reduce the points given each day. Used to get 5 points each day now only normally get 1 or 2 at the most. Trying to cover up reductions by stupid spin the wheel rubbish. Time to move on me thinks!
The spin to win nectar promotion is…
The spin to win nectar promotion is worthless. Usually get 1 or 2 nectar points. Why can’t they just be honest and tell us they are cutting the nectar points awarded across the board? It’s very disappointing as my mail used to offer decent rewards.
What a fraud
What a fraud. SHAME on the Daily Mail. Since the start of spin the wheel I have only received 60% of the Nectar points that I used to get. Judging by the reviews I am one of the lucky ones.
POINTS FIX
Surely someone from the Mail is reading this - my average for points is about 13 a week...........this is not random, but fixed to cut down points given away. Instead of telling us how exciting it is to spin the wheel, why not be honest and tell us they are cutting nectar points. I normally get 1 point, sometimes 2...I once had 10. After 30 years buying the Mail, and seeing the quality of reporting get worse...I will now get another paper...
What an absolute rip off spinning the…
What an absolute rip off spinning the golden wheel is. . Keep getting 1 or 2 points that's if the wheel appears.
Absolute garbage!
Fed up
Fed up , keep getting the same message when trying to enter my unique number for the spin the wheel nectar promotion... failed to process unique number for unknown reason...so annoying. Mind you, when it does accept the number I only get 1 nectar point!
I have enter number from Daily Mail on…
I have enter number from Daily Mail on Wednesday and Thursday which are not being recognised, telling me to try again shortly. Nothing is happening.
Spin the wheel farce
Apart from the higher price for the "Mail' the way the company has used the 'spin the wheel' to ensure a reduction by a few Nectar points each day is petty and underhand, I am now purchasing another paper.
The "Spin the Wheel" scam
The "Spin the Wheel" feature now reduces awarded points by between 50-75%, quite a scam. Now it is unable to process the Unique Numbers because it "Failed to process Unique Number request for unknown reason". Not sure if this is the Daily Fail's fault or Nectar.
No nectar points at all now
No nectar points at all now. For the last three days, failed to process Unique number request for unknown reason. Please try again shortly. I was getting the vouchers for the Daily Mail, but am now thinking of cancelling them. Spin to win farce, now not even being able to input the unique numbers at all. Maybe the Daily Mail should actually try some market research before changing things for the worse.
Same as everyone else
Same as everyone else. Used to collect 10 points a day as a subscriber. Now on the wheel I'm lucky to rarely collect 1 or 2 points, that is assuming the wheel shows up and doesn't tell me I've already done it. The good incentive to subscribe and build my nectar balance has gone. Might as well just buy whatever paper I feel like on the day from my local Sainsbury's and collect more nectar points like that and not feel shafted
Poor Experience
Can,t understand how they think people will find this exciting as i,m now getting a quarter of the points i used to.Its not exciting its depressing
Slow demise of a once great newspaper
Has anyone averaged more than 1 to 2 nectar points? I doubt it!! This would appear to dramatically reduce this attraction of purchasing this newspaper.
The newspaper itself has gone downhill fast. Fewer interesting articles, more advertisement. Additionally it appears to try and make the online version more attractive - a move to abolish the printed paper?
With all the changes being implemented I will not be purchasing this rag anymore as it no longer worthy of being called a newspaper. No doubt many other readers feel the same.
I spent all day back and forth Nectar and…
I spent all day back and forth nectar and my mail on the phone . trying to sort out my husband mymail account. He is deaf so I had to speak to them on his behalf. The Nectar card you speak to Indian. That I can't understand their accents I said he was deaf and they apologise for him passing away. I explained his deaf not dead you go through the rigmarole of the security . we wanted to spend his nectar points on a purchase in Argos to find out we only had 1,000 points instead of four thousand points . Thus the phone call Nectar told us to sort things out with mymail . Mymail revealed that they were put the points on a different Nectar card to the when we had.my husband get the paper the mail every day for years collecting the Nectar points we asked mymail to transfer the Nectar award points to the card the card .I was told to ask the nectar card company for them to do it .I went back to Nectar card and they said mymail was responsible for the points to be put on the card going round in circle I was told to go online on nectar card, not being technical he told me step by step what to do I tried but couldn't get through they wouldn't accept my emails address Sainsbury's ask me to confirm my email address this happens six times. I went to Sainsbury's store and the manager offer to help if we could get proof in the way of a bar code I went back to mymail spoke to somebody called Jack about the problems he couldn't find my husband's account on the system he went round in circles couldn't find his name on the system I explained that I spoke to someone in the morning and he helped me straight away and told me what the problem was with the points awards going on at the different card number. at this time I got very upset through sheer frustration the man I was speaking to said that I was being abusive to him when I was crying he kept referring to me as miss when I am Mrs we didn't get anywhere it seemed that easy thing to transfer points of one card that we would use in to put on another card that we were using it took all day from 9:30 to 6 p.m. and still nothing got sorted I give up in the end Jack was unhelpful and deliberately being awkward without sympathy I am in my 70s he was insensitive to my needs. I'm not used to this technology I find it difficult but when people make it more difficult it makes you feel useless and frustrated I am left now not knowing what to do about these reward points all I know is this experience I don't want to go through again.
Very poor marketing tool
Totally agree with the other reviewers, as a DM marketing tool, Spin to Win is a disaster. Lots of disheartened DM readers. 1nectar point again today!!!!
The nectar points con
The nectar points con. Gamble on a spin so they give away free points. Shouldn't be encouraging gambling anyway.
Annoyed me so much I have stopped getting the paper - great marketing ploy !
