Cancelled My cook box
Cancelled My cook box after the first week, unfortunately the recipes we're uninspiring, some ingredients were missing such as spring onions, and some ingredients simply didn't last within the 5 days of receipt of the box. I also put on pause my delivery as was going to be away, this was completely ignore and delivered anyway, great if you want a door step advertisement your away. Definitely a regret trying this company.
Brilliant - Life Changing!!!!!!!
Where do I start? I love MyCookBox so much, it is just the absolute best and I intend staying with this company for a very long time. Having spent my entire life desperately trying to think of new and exciting ideas for meals, yet failing miserably and instead resorting to the same old spag bol or baked spud, my life is now full of exciting, tasty, filling, nutritious meals - without my having to put any thought into it!
I actually get excited on a Sunday evening when I choose which delicious recipes I am going to order for the following week. The excitement grows further on a Tuesday when the box arrives, it is like Christmas!
In terms of price and quality of ingredients, MyCookBox really cannot be beaten. The ingredients are very fresh and last extremely well. The portion sizes are fantastic, no scrimping there I can assure you.
In a nutshell...get yourself signed up now, you will not regret it for a second... MyCookBox is the best and that is that!

Mycookbox is bloody fantastic, the recipes are simple, fresh and delicious and really breathe new life into my ever so boring eating world. My only thing to add would be get some dairy pouches like those Hellofresh (too expensive for me!) folk as that will stop the exploding dairy pots! Keep up the good work :)

It might be cheaper than HelloFresh and the like; but perhaps that’s because with HelloFresh some food actually arrives.

We love my cook box, fantastic value easy instructions to follow and high quality produce. Having tried 3 or 4 other boxes my cook box won hands down for taste. The portion size for 2 always is more then enough. Can only imagine the other reviews are fake.

We have used the usual two other companies that do this concept and thought we would try MyCookBox to save some money.
I found the recipes easy to follow and clear, the dishes were a good selection. however, in my one and only box some of the items were of very poor quality. The worst example was the chicken thigh meat, it was really really fatty and sinewy, I believe it was also badly bruised as many bits were a redish brown colour raw and this went grey/black when cooked. could this have been catering fowl and not chicken? the chicken fillets were a little better quality, but not much.
we cook box meals five days per week and love the concept and aim to continue, just not with MyCookBox I am afraid/.....
response to the response - I cancelled but still had to take the second box, in this box also the chicken mini fillets was ok but the thigh meat in other recipe was very poor quality. my feedback on here was not to get compensation but thank you for the offer.

Delicious meals made simple
About to start my third week of recipes and can’t fault things so far. Previously used to order through the supermarket but would end up with wasted ingredients. Love the fact everything is portioned out and I’ve found the meals delicious. The recipe cards are easy to follow and you aren’t expected to have any fancy kitchen equipment like you would from a recipe book. I actually look forward to coming home to cook dinner now.

Bad customer service
I tried one box.
It was placed in front of my door, not hidden at all.
When I opened the box, the pasta bag in the box had opened and the pasta was all over. Curiously none of the recipes asked for pasta at all.
The red lentils, however, that I needed for one of the recipes, was not in the box.
Okay, a mistake can happen, but when I reached out to them, their customer service was bad, they offered me no refund whatsoever but rather a 3£ discount for the NEXT box.
The recipes were fine, the spinach was a Tesco bag, so overall a disappointing experience.
They are cheaper than Hello Fresh but a lot worse - not worth the money.

Apauling company ripped us off
We signed up with these people at Grand Designes and we’re told we had a month to order our food and we would get an email reminder. The ne t thing we heard was that our box would be delivered the next day. We had not ordered this box and could not eat the contents due to allergies. We contacted them via email to query this. They refused to phone us to discuss the matte,r. They took no responsibility and it was all our fault. They were keen to take our money but not so keen to deal with us or have any form of customer service. So we paid for food we cannot eat and no one seems to care. We have now left them, this was very poor service for a new company. Stay away from them.!!
Fascinatingly now we have posted a poor review this company is really interested in sorting our problem. Although when we did email them with the details they, were not interested. When we explained we would leave a poor review they were not interested! Now they have a poor review they are interested. This is as I expected, this was written under a pseudonym which is why they cannot find me. We sent numerous emails and they just fobbed us off and ignored us offered us no compensation and took our money for goods we did not want. We have already explained what we were told and they should know who told us. Again avoid these people, they are only interested in making amends when they are shamed into it on social media.

Just finished my first box and can't wait for the 2nd to arrive! I found the ingredients beautifully fresh - even the spinach was still crisp on day 3 (unheard of with supermarket spinach). The recipes were easy to follow and portions generous. I particularly like the variety of vegetarian meals - makes it easy to eat veggie during the week!

Good service but too much plastic
I think they provide very good and reliable service. The ingredients are of high quality and easy to use. The price seems about fair.
However, there is a lot of packaging, a lot of plastic waste is generated from each delivery with no instructions regarding what is recyclable and what is not. I understand that it is difficult to deliver fresh and refrigerated ingredients without much packaging but, to me, the sustainability and the environmental impact of my food shopping is highly important.

Tried after Hello fresh,
I had 2 weeks of hello fresh which was very good, but I stopped as I felt it was just a little bit too expensive.
A friend reccomended My Cook Box after seeing them at a food festival so I gave it a go, whilst i'd say it's not quite as good as hello fresh, it's very close! For £10 a week less you can't fault it! I have no intention of stopping this box, I find it incredible value for money and as the meals are so tasty it's stops you eating out as much saving you money in that respect.

First box arrived with damaged items…
First box arrived with damaged items that were unusable. A quick email and £6 credit to my account. Decided to give them another try to see if it was a one off and no. I am missing a large chunk of ingredients. For instance, for the sausage burgers with caramelised onions, chips and lettuce I am missing onions, potatoes and lettuce. For the lamb and lentil pilaf I am missing lentils and onions. For the spiced chicken pomodoro (which for those who don’t know is a tomato based sauce) I am missing tomatoes. Terrible service and highly unreliable. No wonder they brag that they are ‘the UK’s best value recipe kit’ - half the ingredients don’t turn up so you have to go to the expense of buying the missing ingredients on top of the price of the box. AVOID!
