Meh ?

Calling their service feels like a gamble—sometimes you reach someone who struggles with the language, other times an agent who seems disengaged or even rude, and occasionally someone genuinely helpful who goes out of their way to assist.

The inconsistency is the real issue; while some agents are excellent, others transfer calls due to lack of understanding or handle interactions poorly.

Overall, MSH would benefit from tighter quality control, ensuring strong agents are retained and others receive proper training.

Claim declined: paid insurance for nothing.

Our claim has been unrightfully declined, even though the situation is literally what we are insured for. We provided all required documentation, yet the claim was rejected without a clear and fair explanation. It feels extremely frustrating to pay for coverage and then be denied when you actually need it. Based on this experience, I would not recommend taking this insurance.

We are very satisfied with the medical insurance services provided by MSH International. Truly appreciate the professionalism, prompt support, and efficient cooperation we have experienced since becoming members.

Both my wife and child, who are co-insured under my policy, have also benefited from the high-quality services and responsiveness offered by MSH.

Since joining the company and enrolling in this insurance plan, we have consistently received reliable assistance and clear communication, which gives us confidence and peace of mind.

This company is run by human garbage

This company is run by human garbage. Emergency rooms refuse to deal with them as much as possible. My wife go left in a hallway with homeless addicts when they found out we had MSH. Based on my experience, they are harvesting chromosomes and installing an extra one in every employee. They exemplify greed and incompetence. You'd be better off being insured by a bloated roadkill. If I had to dal with thm again I'd consider shooting myself - except I'd have to pay out of pocket for care and never get reimbursed.

WARNING DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY

Absolute shambles of a medical insurance company, they are only open Monday to Friday and the Bot wont give out any direct contact information.

What is the point of this insurance?

Insurance is meant to provide financial protection and reimbursement for losses resulting from accidents, injury, or property damage.

Based on my experience, this company should reconsider its definition of that promise. I purchased insurance for my mother, and while she was undergoing open-heart surgery, your company provided no consideration of why people seek insurance in the first place — especially during medical emergencies.

The terms and claims process need serious improvement and clearer communication. During a crisis, when most of my focus should have been caring for my mother, I instead found myself overwhelmed with endless requirements and repeated requests for additional documentation. Many of these documents had to come from her doctor in the Philippines, which made an already stressful situation even more difficult. If your company needed that, then require it in the first place.

There was no smooth or supportive process — only added stress at the worst possible time.

For the sake of your loved ones and your own peace of mind, I strongly suggest looking into other insurance providers.

Terrible company avoid at all cost

Terrible company. I should have listened to all the reviews, but I took a chance because of the price. They canceled my insurance for my infant daughter and me while we were away on vacation. There was no notification by email, and I only noticed because I happened to log in by chance and couldn’t anymore. No information was given by customer service. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

Denied the claimed that I proved right through regulators

Extremely disappointing experience with MSH International. I purchased travel insurance, and when I needed to make a claim for emergency treatment after an accident, they denied it for an invalid reason. Despite multiple attempts to resolve the issue, including contacting them directly, I received no satisfactory response. To make matters worse, MSH is not listed on regulatory platforms like OLHI, raising serious concerns about their legitimacy and accountability. I do not recommend relying on MSH International for your insurance needs.

worst insurance company

I am writing to express my deep concern and disappointment regarding the handling of our recent insurance claim. My wife, who arrived in Canada on a student visa, underwent a necessary surgery. first informed that claim passed.
However, we were recently informed that our claim was denied due to a supposed time lapse of twelve months, despite having submitted everything on time. This has caused significant stress and financial strain on our family.

Request from MSH to simplify the procedures for sick leave days payment.

Hi,
I am happy to be insured with MSH International. I just have one comment, if you would kindly consider it:

I respectfully request the MSH team to simplify the payment process for sick leave of three days or less. For example, if I take one or two days of sick leave, MSH requests medical supporting documentation. However, in some cases, I may not visit a doctor or hospital and may only need rest. In such situations, how can I provide medical documentation?

MOST DISGRACEFUL COMPANY

I work in a UN agency that uses this disgraceful company — the WORST of the WORST. Claims left unprocessed for months, despite reminders and the fact that the regulations of our medical benefits funds set a 30-day processing period. This means they violate our organization’s policy as the third-party administrator, which is extremely not professional. Even more disgusting is once processed, one of my claims got rejected for illogical reasons (requesting proof of payments that I already submitted, and when confronted they escalated by requesting for my bank statements. BANK STATEMENTS! How ridiculous! Not even in our organization’s medical benefit funds regulations ask for private financial documents like bank statements!). And when everything was resubmitted they gave another silence. By the time of writing, I still have several pending claim for months. Each time they replied, you encountered a new person that feels like they are using AI instructed to say: thank you - apologies for delayed response - we will transmit your concerns to the designated department. I call all government organisations and international organisations to open their eyes and wake up: it’s time to kick this disgraceful company! When your salary is deducted for 400 euros per month for this kind of incompetent service, it’s felt like you’re totally robbed off!

This company is a bad joke

This company is a bad joke. I submitted an international claim to them in May 22, 2025 and I have not heard from them since. I was told 4-6 weeks for my claim to be processed back in May and today is mid August. Its been 3 months! I called them last week and got the runaround. I had to pay out of pocket enough to cover a medical emergency involving a 4 month hospitalization in Mexico and I had to spend my savings and max out my credit cards. I'm still carrying the debt 5 months after the fact. I am purchasing travel insurance from another insurer as these people aren't efficient at all in processing claims and I'm not confortable with the knowledge that i'd have to deal with them again, should I incur another medical emergency out of Canada. All attempts to escalate the matter are met with silence or directions to again submit my documentation. And then again. These are stall tactics to delay and then deny bona fide claims this company is responsible for paying. Google "bad faith insurer" and you'll get MSH INTERNATIONAL at the top of your search results. I've submitted claims which have been "lost", despite using the online submission method. Great, so they can't even keep track of what claims get submitted before denying them. This company has literally denied every claim I've submitted for out of country medical emergencies. I am quite appalled the Government of Canada would trust these people to administer even a Band-Aid to public sector employees and retirees. I have already purchased travel insurance from another company for my upcoming travels. There is no way in Hell I would depend on this company for anything ever again as they have made every bad faith move/response possible in dealing with me. The customer service reps literally see what you do on the claims dashboard, so there are no informed answers to any of your queries. Just some rep reading off the screen (the exact info I am viewing on my screen at home) in an effort to try and provide some degree of customer service. I can't imagine how this company could prove more dishonest, incompetent, and fundamentally useless as an insurer. And I do mean useless. The Government of Canada has successfully been sued for failing to provide overseas health coverage for its diplomatic corps by using this company. That says everything. And of course this edited review will be met with yet another invitation to "escalate" and resubmit my documents. Again.

Company should be forced to shut down

Administrative incompetence on the part of MSH. Utter timewasters and useless company. I have a small medical claim since past several months, remains unresolved. All documents submitted, but no refund issued. I have been in touch with them numerous times. Every time I talk to them, they assure me that they will prioritize the processing of my claim and expedite reimbursement. I am still waiting. This company should be shut down totally.

Can I leave the ZERO star?

Can I leave the ZERO star? Not sure who gave the contract to MSH International for the Federal Public Service Emergency Travel? Please do not renew the contract with them. MSH International is the worst one in the market. They tried to delay the reimbursement process; and they gave all kinds of reason to delay the process. Their website stated that the standard of service is 2 weeks, but that’s a lie! They will take more than 2 months to reimburse the medical expenses. When you paid thousands of dollars overseas from your credit cards, be ready to borrow money to pay your credit card debts, as MSH International will not reimburse within the 2 weeks period (as they claimed on their website). Consumers need to know the truth. Do not give the government contract to MSH International.
