Visited first time and definitely last ! This is not hair salon. Wasted my time for a journey and my money ! very expensive comparing to other places and lack of professionalism.
MR Hair Solutions was recommended to me by my friend from Paisley.During my last stay in Glasgow I've arranged fitting of my hair system with Marie and .... it was my biggest mistake! Her "salon" is located in dirty shade next to her house in Clynder (in the middle of nowhere). Very messy and dirty place. Hair from previous customers lying everywhere, unbelievable smell of dampness. Dust ,dust and more dust everywhere. Marie herself very unprofessional and chaotic. No knowledge about hairstyling. Very poor haircut. Paid £75 for absolutely disgraceful job.Payment made via Monzo personal transfer so huge limitations in raising any dispute. Would advise anyone to think twice before considering her as a hair stylist with experience. I've had to book appt with hair system professional straight after my return to Manchester. Thank you King of Kwiffs for sorting out the mess left by so called hairstylist Marie!
I’ve been going to Marie for the past few months for my hair system refits. I find her very friendly, professional and helpful . Pricing also very reasonable . Would highly recommend.
Absolutely shocking service. Forget free consultation! I've travelled to Clynder from Glasgow just to pay £50 for "consultation" in relation to hair system. This wasn't consultation...Marie is completely unprofessional and she lacks of simple customer service skills.Marie's "hair salon"is a small dirty room at the back of her house, full of dust and clutter."Consultation"was literally 4 mins...she pulled out some hair colour sampler and chose one that suited my hair. Cost? £50 for 4 mins. I would love to be on that kind of salary!Once hair system was delivered from hairhub.com I have arranged fitting and styling. When I arrived Marie already appeared to be busy. Instead explaining to me how to use the system she took it to the we side room and God knows what she was doing with it. Then while fitting the piece on my head she was organising her household deliveries on the phone. No interaction with customer whatsoever apart from the comment about music from radio playing in the background. It wasn't really fitting- this was more like a pulling and very uncomfortable feeling. Haircut? forget it. She doesn't have a clue what is proper haircut, blending and skin fade. Her skills were more appropriate for butcher job rather hairdresser. She did not even thin down the density and left me with a mop on my head. Hairline done very poorly with tape pilling off immediately after it was applied. Cost for this 30 mins butcher job £75. I left extremely unhappy and luckily I've managed to book fitting and re-styling with different business in Glasgow for following day. I spoke to Jacob from hairhub.com and after sending him some pictures he stated it hasn't been attached properly. I have contacted Marie as per Jacob advice and this is her replay:
" Hey . Ah ok . Can sometimes happen with a new fitting with all the pulling . Couple of options
1 use your repositioning spray to soften the tape and make it sticky.
2 replace the tape
3 if your feeling brave . Use the ghost bond . It goes on white . Let it go clear on your scalp . NOT on the lace . Then just gently press the lace down and let it set for a bit”.
I have replied to this message as below:
"Hi Marie. Take it I would not receive apologise for appalling service. I’m no here to try and fix something that should be done professionally. I’m not questioning your skills but I feel you was in a hurry with everything today. You didn’t show me how to clean, take off and re-apply my system. The hair cut was the quickest ever I’ve had done. This is not bespoke service and definitely is not worth £125.Ive spoken with Jacob and he convinced me to contact you otherwise I wouldn’t say anything.ive sent him pics of your work he stated the hair system is wrongly fitted. As you charged me £50 for picking colour of my hair system in 10 mins and another £75 for butchery and unsuccessful styling and fitting in a hurry it would be nice if you could contribute something towards my appointment tomorrow. I’m asking for at least partial refund since I’ve paid you £125."
Unfortunately after my last message Marie did not replied. No apologise at all + she pocketed £125. Surely every decent person at least apologise for the appalling service and try to step in to resolve the issue not mentioning a refund, even partially. But unfortunately this is not Marie. I would urge anyone to stay away from mrhairsolutions.com and Marie. She is just money grabber and does not care about her customers at all.Plenty of other reliable businesses on the market to choose from.
