I only wish I could give it zero stars. Avoid this hotel at all costs and go to the Belfry. Dirty bed sheets, dirty spa with kids running freely, inedible food, no tables available for breakfast…. you complain at the hotel and they promise it will be looked into…. lies they reply and state that its normal for breakfast to be busy and its also normal the spa is overrun with children. I cant tell you how bad this hotel is. Awful senior management take your money and run! This hotel is no better than a 2 star

Tiny pool, sauna and steam room, too loud to relax
Went for a half day spa this week and was really looking forward to a relaxing day and some pampering as Moor Hall has a reputation for being luxurious and my work in healthcare is exhausting. I'm sorry but this was not good at all. The pool was tiny, about 10-12m long, with lots of young children screaming and bombing, not enough room for adults to swim and no staff in pool area. Tiny sauna and steam room, only 3 cubicles in the changing room. It wasn't relaxing at all. I have a better experience of swimming at my local council pool. On the plus side the treatment I had was lovely and the coffee was nice, but overall I was just so disappointed, especially having looked forward to it so much. In terms of value for money when compared to other local spas and their facilities and prices, it just isn't worth it in my opinion. I won't be going back or recommending it.

Gluten Free Cake!!!
Really enjoyed this Winter Warmer spa day, at Moor Hall, what I was most impressed by more than anything was the Gluten Free chocolate cake give to everyone with the Baileys hot chocolate, when the girl bought it to us, I was completely expecting it to be wheat based, but she confirmed it wasn't ( I didnt even know there was cake involved) and absolutely delicious!

Good spot for business meetings - helpful staff
Visited Moor Hall for the day for a work meeting. Arranged it very last minute and Heather was very helpful in arranging for us to use the snug at a reduced price. Good location for an informal work meeting and friendly staff. Food (lunch) was good - was a little slow from point of order but they had a wake in and were busy so it was understandable and they were apologetic. Overall good spot for what we needed and will now look at using them for a more substantial management meeting in the future.

Unacceptable Christmas Lunch.
Booked a 3 day festive break 24 to 27 Dec.as a surprise for my wife. Moor Hall was built for my wife's Cousin x3 Edward Ansell of the Ansell's Brewery. She had never been before and I thought it would be nice as a surprise as we are both in our 80's. First thing was the sink in the bathroom was blocked and had to be attended to. Also as there was only a bath there was NO handle i=on the wall. NOT elderly or disabled friendly. When we went for dinner we were informed that the " package " only allowed us £40.00 for the meal This after we had paid over £1000.00 for the festive treat. Christmas Lunch was an experience I will not forget. There were NO table cloths two crackers and eventually when we asked for drinks we were told that included in the "package" we were entitled to a glass of prosecco WOW. We had half a glass of probably Aldi prosecco. The Christmas LUNCH was a DIY job carvery. I did not spend that much money to have a carvery. We can have a carvery any day of the week. The atmosphere was akin to an undertakers parlour . I have complained but got condescending reply. What should have been a happy experience for us turned out to be a memory to forget

Fantastic overnight stay
Fantastic overnight stay. Staff very attentive. Gym great. Dinner in the Oak Brasserie was gorgeous. Breakfast great. Nothing not to like. Will definitely revisit. Thank you!
Not the best
I booked the catch up and spa for myself and a friend for special birthday treat . The spa facility was good & clean the place is nice - but I was very disappointed with the facial I chose for my treatment. It felt very rushed and regimented. The £75 voucher stated a 25minute treatment,I was in and out in 20 minutes. I didn’t feel it was a relaxing experience and the girl was quite rough especially around the eye area.
I would not book again if I’m honest .
It would be easier to say what went…
It would be easier to say what went right....nothing!!!
Room was dark n dinghy, bathroom was no bigger than a cupboard.
£90 for a massage so didnt bother, had to book a slot for swimming pool. Towels were on all loungers, so unable to get one, pool was loud and busy... so never got to use it dispite booking our slot. Sauna fits 4 people only. They do not provide footwear had to wear my robe with trainers.
We called the day before to book a dinner reservation to be told they're full.
I've never been to such an awful spa.
We ordered a tea with scone offer... tea was drank by the time the scones arrived.
Avoid where possible, its definately not relaxing. Struggling to see what we have paid for..
Perfect Spa Day
Great spa day to celebrate my birthday. The facilities were clean and tidy. There was a good amount of people, so it did not feel too busy or desolate. Had an amazing lunch, which was fresh, hot and perfect. My massage from Grace was spot on and helped me relax. Would highly recommend.

We stayed on a golf break on Sunday 31st August.
Lovely clean room, friendly staff and great evening meal and breakfast. The golf was a amazing and the guy who runs the golf shop was helpful and friendly.
Thank you.
A Disappointing Visit Spoiled by Wasps and Poor Service
We visited Moor Hall Hotel and Spa yesterday around 6pm and left feeling let down.
From the moment we sat outside, it was impossible to ignore the swarm of wasps gathering near the bar steps. They were clearly attracted to spilt sugary liquid around wasp traps that hadn’t been cleaned up properly. Before our meals even arrived, a wasp flew into my partner’s wine and drowned. When I took the glass to the bar, I was told – quite abruptly – that “company policy” doesn’t allow them to replace drinks if a wasp lands in them. The barman suggested I take the next drink out with a beer mat to cover it. At no point when ordering drinks was I warned about the wasp problem or advised to cover glasses.
To make matters worse, no staff came to our table to take a food order, and we weren’t told there was no table service – we had to figure this out ourselves.
The food was hit and miss. While the salmon was excellent, the courgette spaghetti portion was tiny and Emma’s non-meat burger was very dry.
Other guests were clearly frustrated too, with one woman even suggesting to staff that peppermint plants could help repel the wasps.
The setting is lovely, but the experience was completely overshadowed by poor service and an obvious pest issue that staff seem unwilling to address.
Not the relaxing afternoon we had hoped for.
Beautiful location with stunning views…
Beautiful location with stunning views and a little woodland trail. The ground floor of the hotel is luxurious and staff were lovely. The room was ok, the bed was hard and pillows not very comfy and there was no alternative choice in room. On a hot weekend, the small desk fan didn’t have much impact. You can get amazing tower fans that are quieter and have sleep settings which would be ideal. Shower water in morning also kept going cold for periods then came back through very very hot, i assume lots of people were showering and the system was struggling to cope.
Breakfast was good, parking spaces limited, bar prices rather high with limited choice (only Moonshine or Grey Goose vodka, the latter being over £7 a shot), quiet setting though and overall not too bad a stay for £180 a night twin.

Afternoon tea perfection
We had afternoon tea here for my Dads 90th Birthday. 9 adults and 2 children. Everything was perfect. Booked through events team who discussed accessibility due to us needing wheelchair access, was nice that they asked rather than me having to raise the question. Warm welcome from staff, lovely spacious room. We could all talk to each other without intruding on other diners conversation. Staff were really friendly and didn’t rush us. Food was lovely and really good portion size. Child menu was well received. We all felt really comfortable and welcome. Highly recommend to anyone wanting a family celebration.

Wouldn’t recommend
I was really disappointed with my stay. I was given the wrong room to what I had booked. I booked the king suite with jacuzzi and was given the duluxe double with jacuzzi. Reception made me out to be stupid saying they don't do such a room. I did extensive research to make sure I booked the correct room. I made sure it was in their own website. So to be told that room doesn’t exist like I am some idiot is extremely disappointing. I would have been understanding if they owned up to the mistake.
The double duluxe was so uncomfortable.
Needs a new mattress desperately. There was a huge red stain on the floor. The room was freezing with a draft coming under the door, the signal on the tv did not work and the remote didn't work to search on YouTube. I opened the curtains to the view of a fence! The room I originally booked had a lovely bay window. I'm actually shocked at this property after wanting to stay for a long time. I'm so disappointed.
In reply to the response below… if the correct room “king suite” that I booked was allocated to me then how come it had a double bed in it? It also has the bee wallpaper room and is listed on your website as a double deluxe?!

Thank you Moor Hall!
We needed to relax and unwind just the two of us. Instead of a spa stay we opted for a room with jacuzzi and room service instead of dinner in the restaurant. It was a very good decision! The room (188) was beautiful, clean, cosy and warm. Room service very efficient, delicious food. We had a truly relaxing, romantic stay.

Horrendous stay, Horrendous management
The worst stay we have ever had anywhere, booked for myself and my wife for our 25th wedding anniversary, we booked a 4 poster bedroom, however that room was where they have there wedding venue, first of all we had to walk through the conservatory where the wedding was and then got to our room, all the rooms around us were for the wedding party, and at the side of there function room, the noise was horrendous and not all the guests had even arrived yet, they had a DJ BLASTING out tunes, spoke to reception who said we shouldn't have been put there right in the middle of a wedding party, she got the duty manager to speak to us and it got even worse, we explained it was a special night for us, but he wasn't interested and wouldn't do anything for us, he was rude and is attitude was horrible, he was arguing and turning away like he wasn't interested, so we recorded him on our phone and he knew that he was out of order and we had it on our phone, he tuck offence to that and told us to leave is hotel, we wanted to speak with the general manager, he told us we can't and leave now or he will call the police, he then called the police, and asked them to remove us from the hotel.
I am in my 50's, we own a business and was celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary, a present from our twp daughters, this manager treated us like muck, he was horrible and totally ruined our anniversary, we had travelled miles to stay there, had paid for the room, 3 course meal, breakfast, we got nothing and left an hour after arriving and was told by the duty manager that we won't be getting a refund, and they tuck a further £50 deposit on our card on arrival and that hasn't been refunded as well.
DO NOT book to stay here, my wife hasn't slept for the past two nights, horrendous experience.
Still waiting for our full refund
Strange to think you can tell someone's attitude from cctv,Angela tells us she has reviewed the cctv and the duty manager wasnt rude,if you cant take the feedback you will never improve, thats why there is so may negative comments/feedback, I have requested this so called cctv of me at the dj both, Angela has confirmed there isn't any, which we knew, the role of a chief Executive is to protect the brand no matter what, just like Paula Vennells chief executive of the post office, that's there role, I didn't expect you to take responsibility.
And as of today 10th Sept I still haven't received any refund.

FANTASTIC ALL ROUND
I came to write a review as we have just arrived home after a 1 night stay at Moor Hall Hotel - AND I CANNOT UNDERSTAND ALL THE NEGATIVE REVIEWS ???
We book a wowcher 1 night stay after a lovely visit to Sutton Park (Sutton Coldfield) and an early morning stroll.
From the moment we arrived to the morning we checked out everything was Brilliant.
Part of the wowcher deal was a bottle of wine on arrival - we explained that we did not drink alchol and they provided some bottles of J2O into our room in an ice bucket for 3pm check in.
The twin room was very clean, fresh towels, all the tea/coffee you could need, biscuits and even some mint chocolates
The use of the hotel spa was also a bonus (included in the package) and that was great, the pool, the sauna, the steam room and not forgetting the Jacussi - we had a lovely relax ready to dine at 6pm (package included a 3 course menu) - the starter was amazing, both taste and presentation, the main course was again fresh, hot and very tasty and well presented, the sweet was also very, very yummee !! (special thanks to Eliane and Ruby, who waited and looked after us for the meal, polite, considerate and advice and nothing was too much trouble and University students - Good Luck)
Asked reception for a few more decaffinated coffee sachets which was brought swiftly to our room.
In the morning after a lovely nights sleep and a shower that was just right and easy to select the temperature, out for an early morning sunrise stroll around the grounds and woodland, with lots of bird and squirrel activity.
Into breakfast, the choice was amazing and the service attentive, plenty of choice and no rushing to get rid of you.
This is one of the better Hotels that we have stayed at around the UK with Wowcher / Groupon so we are NO MUGS when it comes to service and standards.
It is very strange though that so many are not happy with the Hotel ?
We would definately recommend staying here.
Thank you Moor House Hotel And Spa

do not waste you’re money
Please do not waste you’re money. Took
My mother for her 80th. Was dreadful
No customer service. So dissatisfied hate leaving bad feed back. Was offers 50 Per cent off next visit. Would even pay a penny to go back really that awful. I may now add after the response from manager I was told of no family emergency at all my deaf mother had to sit on her own for half an hour Lady’s whom done treatment not a problem but stafff unable to help when asking what facial type it was then to have to park on afield as no parking to be blocked in by a stafff member we’re clearing stated not to cover entrance had to run around to bar area rot give reg in no apology given again my mom standing in a field so suggest Matt you do you’re research right was only told could get drink at spa machine not informed of any were else I told staff member I hadn’t been before why was this not told me This is a fact and to you’re reply appalled at management reply is why I put full description of treatment we had only good thing was the two ladies whom was polite and nice but not worth the money spent. Think the owner of moor hall needs a new manager. Even your staff needs training no comeback on why a member of staff could clearly block me in and not only my mom sitting alone because of so allied emergency I only heard of trust pilot Im not sure what training you required to be a manager but I am appalled I would like to go further with y compaint
