Excellent customer support
I received excellent support from Christoph Bubel. He answered my questions promptly and was a big help. Much appreciated

They suggested leaving a review at trust pilot 😆 okay.
These clowns own & operate Open Relationships. Its outdated, overrun by bots, scammers and old accounts.
This company really needs to clean up their act and go back to the drawing board on this app.

The only benefit in using Moniker is that non-U.S. domains are registered at an address in Germany. Every time you bite the bullet with these folks and pay twice as much as Spaceship they get you al little more by adding on more fees after you have been lulled into thinking the quoted price is the actual price.

This company allows fraudsters to register domain names used to defraud the American people. The domain names are often typosquatted domains of the legitimate company then used to rank in search engine pages with cloned online banking pages that look and feel like the real one.

HORRIBLE Customer Service
I NEVER write reviews, but Moniker's "customer support" is so horrendous that I had no choice. I received a standard domain renewal email, but when I went to check to see the cost of the renewal, that information was not listed in the message. So I went to their website, clicked on the domain, but could not find the cost listed anywhere.
So I contacted "customer support" -- ie their AI bot which was confused by even the simplest question asking where I could find the cost of my domain. I asked to connect with an actual agent, and the AI Bot replied "please be rest assured that a ticket has been created and our team will get back to you as soon as possible via email." Of course I never received a follow up email from Moniker.
Days later I came back and tried again. Once again, after the AI Bot was completely useless, I asked to speak with a representative and it replied "At the moment, we don’t offer phone support. Our phone lines are temporarily unavailable as our team is focusing on providing the fastest possible help through online channels."
Translation: "We're too cheap to pay real people to help you."
I've been a customer of Moniker for over 15 years, and I will NEVER purchase from them again and will now begin the process of moving my domains to another host. Because if this how bad their "service" is now, it will only get worse.
TLDR; Do NOT use Moniker. They've outsourced all their "customer service" to completely unhelpful, ineffective, and impersonal AI Bots.

Consistent Good Experiences
My personal experience has always been very good with Moniker. The customer service has been very responsive and it's great that I can speak to a person who speaks English as their native tongue, which makes communication so much easier. I recently hired a person who had plenty of experience managing domains and working behind the scenes on websites. She recently had her first experience with Moniker and she said that customer service was easy to work with and very helpful. Because of our combined experiences, I decided to write this review because they earned it over the years of good service.

Worst Company Ever – Stay Away from Moniker
The worst company I’ve ever dealt with. They used to be Hexonet and I don’t know what happened, but they moved our domains to Moniker and since then it’s been nothing but headaches. Their prices are insanely high, they charge VAT even though our company is located in the United States, and their support is awful. They have a so-called AI chat that’s completely useless—it only opens support tickets that take more than 24 hours to get a reply. On top of that, they blocked my account for no reason. We need to renew a client’s domain and haven’t been able to because of this. Please, stay away from this company, they are extremely unprofessional.
27 Years with Moniker — Now a Total Disappointment
I’ve been with Moniker since the late 1990s — more than 27 years and current, as of this review, have 79 domain names with them. They were once my go-to registrar with stellar support, but sadly those days are gone.
There’s no longer any phone support, and emails go unanswered. Something as simple as adding an email address — which used to be quick and easy — has turned into a nightmare. I’ve spent hours trying to resolve this with no help.
Moniker has gone from a trusted partner to an unresponsive frustration. As a business, we cannot function this way, and I’ve already started moving my domains to a competitor. Very disappointing to see a once-great company decline so badly.

Easy to search for names!
Easy to search for domain name. Often great alternate name suggestions when a searched name isn't available. Pricing is very reasonable.

Reliable but still some small bugs and hics
After researching I found that Moniker.com exists since 1999 and so I was removing one star from my initial 4 star rating. The reason is that a such old and established company should not have bugs that are obvious and that the customer reports to them after only 1 month as customer and they answer " we are aware" the bug is that you have to avoid to open multiple tabs while editing the DNS enties. If you open a second tab for instance to copy settings from another domain you end up copying either the new entries to both or either to the last tab (customer) opened what happens is almost random. This is an important function and a core function hence after so long time it should be working fine even they just fusioned with Hexonet (where we come from as customer) who actually never had a such bug. And the pricing model is transparent with the 3 categogies depending on how many domains you own but the pricing is higher than what we were used to.
